My slowness needs more algebra tutorials at this speed, I would probably be so far along if all teachings were like this, he leaves nothing unanswered.
What took a whole class session for me to barely understand was just answered in 7 minutes and 38 seconds. That A1 and A2 crap really does SUCK! Thank you so much!
I've watched a lot of videos, been to several tutors, and read the textbook.. your explanations and examples are more sensible and clear then all 3 combined. SRS
Thank you so much you saved my life I was so stressed out because I couldn't understand this thing you made it so simple And now I can pass my exam Thanks again...
Your awesome. When I looked at the likes versus the dislikes, all I could think was that must be a couple of professors or teachers upset to hear someone referencing that notation sucks, even if it is for people just learning the CONCEPT. All to often teachers forget how long they've known what they know, and simply become clueless to the fact that the words coming out of their mouth make no sense to the student. It's just like a Charlie Brown's classroom. Wa wah wah wa, wa wah wah, Charlie Brown.
Well, hopefully you can get statistics behind you and move onto subjects that interest you more. Glad to hear that my video helped you out too. Make sure you like MyBookSucks on FaceBook (see link in video description). I am always posting new videos for statistics, economics and algebra.

Great Video. But I have a question, the Probability you calculated in both cases is for a specific order of the balls. For example the first one is red, the second is green and the third is blue right?, otherwise you should have multiplied by the number of possible arrangements.
Good tutorial, what if order doesn't matter? For example: The letters of the words THE CAT ATE THE HAT were written on 15 index cards, one letter per card. If the cards are shuffled and one card is selected at random, what is the probability of selecting, in any order and without replacement, 3 cards that contain the letters C, A, and T?
Great to hear and appreciate the feedback. Make sure you like MyBookSucks on FaceBook (see link in video description). This will help others find the educational videos.
this video is fabulous. I'm always looking for simple ways to explain complex math and science to grandchildren. Love this! Do you have anything that explains the probability of lotteries in such a simple, yet dramatic form?
I saw that, but I'm pretty sure this is not a combination problem. Your example is 1 red, 1 blue, 1 green... In my question, there are 5 T's 3 A's etc. and trying to find the probability of picking C-A-T I don't thing is a perm/combo problem.
For the first probability, if you say that the order matters, you have to divide by 2C3 which is the number of possible orders of {Red, Green, Blue} so that you obtain the probability of obtaining Red, Green and Blue in this order right ?
I think this video is only about Probability and not about Combinations or Permutations. So the author's statement about '...and in that order' is unnecessary. Actually, he is only computing probability of 'first three marbles being of three different colors (and order does NOT matter)'. But otherwise, I liked the videos. I have seen a few on Regression and were very easy to understand. Visuals and animations are extremely helpful.
On second thought, the order does matter, in case of the second scenario (without replacement). My comment above remains true only for the first scenario(with replacement).
Hi can I get some help with this question( for a particular plant, the probability that a seed germinates is 0.7. (I) determine the mean number of seeds that would
can you help me solve this question? There are 50 marbles in a bowl: 20 red 15 blue 10 green 5 orange What is the probability of selecting a blue AND a green marble inn two draws using sampling with replacement? After solving it i got an answer of 6%
hey ,let me see if you can help me with this ,a couple people try but it complicated .lets say you have 38 balls with different numbers in five baskets each .now out of the 38 balls in each basket twelve balls is black the rest is different colours .what are your chances of pulling a black ball out of each basket five in a row. thanks in advance .
oh my! I learned this stuff finally! Thanks How about this? A fair die is rolled times. What is the probability that a is obtained on at least one of the rolls? Round your answer to three decimal places. Thanks
@statisticsfun, I need help. Lets say that I have a jar that contains 5 marbles. 1 red, white, blue, green and yellow. Now, if four marbles were removed from the jar, what is the probability that the yellow one was removed?
Could not agree more with the last minute. WHY, WHY, WHY don't math teachers take some basic classes on how to make presentations effective. I spend more time trying to figure out symbols than I do learning the concepts :)

Sir i have a problem for which I need a solution. Kindly help. consider 2 black, 9 white and 3 pink balls. if a pencil is drawn at random and replaced and this process is done 2 more times then what is the prob of drawing 2 black and 1 pink. My proposed solution and as per my mentor - (2/14 * 2/14 * 3*14) * (3!/2!) However many websites ignore the - (3!/2!) (3!/2!) - It is taken as a sequence of choosing the balls is not given. I Can take BBP, BPB, PBB.. and I should consider probability for all 3 cases.. Pls confirm if my understanding is correct.

you sound like a relaxation tape
yeah thats true
ahlie
That's what made it simple and calming to learn.

"i wish i had some cool SFX, but i don't"
i Loved that.
Thank you so much you saved my life
I was so stressed out because I couldn't understand this thing you made it so simple
And now I can pass my exam
Thanks again...
even me ifrah iwas so curious for this but finally i understand easy!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
This was awesome! I have the read this section in my textbook 3 times without understanding and now I get it! Thank you so much!

BRO I KNOW YOU MADE THIS IN 2012 BUT I JUST WATCHED THIS AND IT WAS THE MOST PERFECT WAY TO EXPLAIN IT BC MY COLLEGE PROFESSOR COULDNT.
Thank you!!!!! This was the only video online about conditional probability that made sense and was simple to understand.
How many times is the fair die rolled? I don't think that is in the question.

your voice is ASMR and I fall asleep.

My teacher never explained this... thanks for the tips
You are very welcome!
Good luck on your test!
Could u do a few videos on permutations, combinations and combined, with simple and difficult examples?
I saw that, but I'm pretty sure this is not a combination problem. Your example is 1 red, 1 blue, 1 green... In my question, there are 5 T's 3 A's etc. and trying to find the probability of picking C-A-T I don't thing is a perm/combo problem.
Kris You should watch the playlist on permutations and combinations. I added a link in the video description. That should help you out.
Great video! Just one thing; what if the problem was "Without replacement, find probability of getting 4 blue marbles and 3 yellow marbles"?
i would like to get a teacher like u, cuz i like ur explanation 100%
Thanks! Now I can help my son with his homework!
I always thought probability is tough, never thought that it is this easy. Thank you so much :-)

Finally, in plane english!!!!!!!! Thank you!
Sharing the love, indeed with my classmates! Thanks so much!
thanks! appreciate the feedback.
You're so good at explaining, I subscribed right away :)

you make it so easy to understand and this was a video for homework I had to take notes so thx :D
How about a sequenced following order of eg 3 w/o replacement then 1 w/ replacement then 2 w/o replacement?
Sir what is difference between conditional probability and Bayes theorem
This is really helpful. Thank you.

so touching for an excellent video
Very clear explanation
what about if you pick a group of red marbles with replacement how would you do that?
hey ,let me see if you can help me with this ,a couple people try but it complicated .lets say you have 38 balls with different numbers in five baskets each .now out of the 38 balls in each basket twelve balls is black the rest is different colours .what are your chances of pulling a black ball out of each basket five in a row. thanks in advance .

Great video man
thank u so much this helped a lot!
Thankyou very much sir😊
You were a great help. Thanks!
Jay
You have to consider the interval for the mean
thnx sir its helpful video for my study..

How do you know you're gonna get a red marble first try though
Sir i have a problem for which I need a solution.
Kindly help.
consider 2 black, 9 white and 3 pink balls. if a pencil is drawn at random and replaced and this process is done 2 more times then what is the prob of drawing 2 black and 1 pink.

extra ordinary
what is .40????????
Great tutorial, but that constant pausing was quite tedious.
It does suck to have to do t
complicated in class... easier on the internet
