I'm loving it!! My Mom was a giant Willie fan and in the eighties I didn't get it. Then I did. I took my daughter to see him when she was 10... 12 years ago. . . And now I've found this wonderful son. He sounds so much like his daddy. I agree with you. This is awesome knowing we'll have him... 🖖✌️🤠❤️

I'm a firefighter for OK. City, just came back from an elderly man been throwing up and not feeling well. Its 0111 in the morning and instead of trying to go to sleep ( which is hard here)I'm on my phone in a bedroom with 14 other guys with my phone to my ear listening to this wonderful song beautifully sung. Kinda put me at ease for a bit given the stress we been through today. Hopefully we can stay in the rest of the night. Thanks Willie, you have some great and very talented boys there, I know you're proud of them. I pray for y'all and everyone else that we and our loved ones get through these trying times. You don't have to hail from Texas to love all you all. I'm from N.W. Ohio, and I hold your father and his family up there in a status that maybe even he doesn't understand. You see I was raised up on his music, I'm 55yrs young, and Willie is my hero, no shit. Don't need to lie, and I think about the man who first inspired me to play harmonica to an AM radio, and what he means to me, growing up..on a, literally, dirt farm. All the trials and tribulations? I can honestly say....I love him

I was raised up by a guy born in 1934, now he's 85 and I am 50. When I was a boy he was in his prime and I was holding on tight, running to keep up while he pursued his dreams and ambitions. They were big and audacious. The result made me strong, older than my years and blessed to have a connection to the times before and beyond whats modern and convenient- so happy he's still around. Happy for you guys to have your old dad to pick and play with. These men, of that time and place, only occur once in the world. We echo them in our hearts and carry on their truths. thanks Willie and George P. Us kids will preserve the legacy and keep on keeping on...

I too am a product of a man born back then (1937). He's 82 and I'm 42. He has been fighting some fractured vertebrae from a recent car accident that wasn't his fault. If his back wasn't hurting he'd still out work most people I know. Crazy how people from that time work so hard. It's been the best to experience life through his lense. He's an awesome dad!❤️

My Daddy, Gordon Terry, introduced me to your Daddy back in the early 1980's on Willie's bus (I think he called her Yellow Rose). It's the only concert I ever attended with Daddy, where we danced for over three hours. Daddy died April 6, 2006. Listening to you and your brother playing with him makes me so happy! Thank you!

first time I heard this song and video the
wind was knocked out of me. The beauty of the song is hard to put into words, the sweetness and beauty of Lukas's voice as he paints a story of all that's good in his life, and what will come and a warm light travels through your soul.
The video has he roams around outside and then meets up in front of the fire with dad and they sing together and dad gets in and opens up with his beat up old guitar and as always plays to your ears & heart. I get chocked up extra when I play it. Then at the end of the video Father Willie and his boy Lukas reach out in a hand embrace, in these minutes in the song a transformation in me takes place and it's just the best heart hug and my day is going to be good.

I'm now a devoted fan of this amazing artist and songwriter and beautiful soul Lukas Nelson. His sound is very similar to Willie's (listen to their duet "Just Breathe") but I hear a wider range, more depth and a lot more emotion in Lukas' voice. I could, and have, listened to him for hours

Willie it's great the relationship you have with your grown children. I have 3 sons, proud of them all as I am sure you are of all your children, and grandchildren. What you have done for music I'm sure will be carried on. You have some very talented men and women family members, and you all seem to be very nice people. I just love this song! It reminds me of visiting Austin in 1990 something. Hubby was at work and I was cruising around in the summer heat. I was looking for some "swimming hole" south west on the river. I pulled into a dusty little parking lot and saw a couple people heading off through a small trail with coolers, etc. . . so I followed. BOOM!! The local swimming hole to party away the Texas summer heat!! Wonderful memories. :) . . . Okay, okay, partial memories! ;)

It’s so absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! The lyrics........touch my heart, BIG TIME!!! My son and his wife live in Austin and are having their first baby in January!!!! I can’t wait to meet my sixth grand baby (and my fifth granddaughter). My grandson is still Blessed among the women in his life!!!! I love Willie so much, I cannot even imagine the world without him!
