This is what happens if you have the wolf and fail all QTEs starting from the very first wendigo encounter, except for QTEs that involve running out of time while closing doors because those are boring.

I'm currently playing this, and I got through this area rather nicely (Albeit at the end my lil' doggo didn't make it due to me not barricading the door), and I was curious about what would have happened if I messed up. I guess Mike has some crazy plot-armor, cuz Chris died in my playthrough like...instantly to a Wendigo.
Its more than plot armor. Mike is able to physically hold his own against the windegos. He could grow up to be a monster hunter like sam and dean
@@thelavinator6343 Tbh its also true that Chris went vs Mikkapitew (the Wendigo Alpha spirit) which escaped even those 2 Wendigo hunters. While Mike faced only those miners that had weak wendigo spirits in them. So although Mike has insane plot armor he also never really faced the Mikkapitew. (Although I should have killed Mike like 10 times in his run to the lodge with Jessica and with his chase after Jessica.)
Even then the notes say that one of the miner Wendigos lifted six hundred pounds so it would over power Mike in a second
@@Dark_Voice Sure he did, but he still had love plot armor from Hannah, She dragged him underwater and then seemingly just released him, and then in the lodge she'll only throw him around or slash him at worst, compared to the instakills she gives everyone else.
Kinda sad in a way. She'll recognize Mike and let him go, but she won't recognize her own brother unless he says her name first.
@@kyuubinaruto17 I guess its because she was watching him the whole time where he went with Jess to the cabin and chased him around, possibly saw him when he was chasing after Jack.
Also, Hannah maybe didnt recognize Josh because of how insane he was.
I still don’t understand how he made it all the way to the entrance for Sam to rescue him with the Wendigo ripping him apart
Yeah, UD was pretty amazing as far as making stuff fit together despite different choices/options, but there are definitely a few places where you can tell they didn't think about it (like this one.)
Well first time playing it would be hard to know Mike has plot armor like Batman. Unless u actually wanted to try to kill him on purpose and on top of it who would want to kill the wolf.
It is possible that since these are the 80+ year old miner Wendigo's that they're just not strong enough to kill humans anymore, further supported by how the Stranger managed to capture them all. All the Wendigo kills in this game are all by Hannah who is possessed by the strongest Makkapitew, plus she's only been a Wendigo for almost less than a year
@@ililili6350 that is not true, lots of kills are by the original wendigos. The stranger was killed by one and Chris can die from one too. Hannah doesn't show up until the end. The real reason is that the choices in this game have a minimal impact on the game. Most of the characters can't die until the second half of the game and Sam and Mike can't die before the very last scene. Thats the issue with branching stories.
@@Chillerll I respect and agree with the second half of your comment but its fact that only Hannah killed the characters. The one that killed the Stranger and Chris was Hannah as, one, its literally her as you can see by the model and the tattoo when she abducts Josh, and two, Hannah was the only free-roaming wendigo on the mountain by the time Chris and the stranger tried to get Josh from the shed. Even after Mike set the rest of the wendigos free, the rest of the kills after that, minus Wolfie, was made by Hannah. I do agree that the game should've been more diverse like you said. Also would've been cool if Mike was able to killed by the originals when he went back to the sanatorium

Why did you choose to go straight and lock the cage? Let it time out without making a decision and if he goes inside a room anyways then fail again. I wish i had a PS4
I'll answer both your question from the other video and this one here! If you don't pet Wolfie and he doesn't like you, you basically don't have the 'free hit' that he gives you; with Wolfie, most places where you would 'die' (and 'die' is in quotes because Mike can't actually die in this chapter no matter how badly you do) Wolfie will save you one time, but without him you basically just have less chances to mess up. So if you miss all the QTEs, shots, time limits, etc you 'die' one time faster than you would normally. As for why I chose to go straight and lock the cage, I think it was just to get more animation; I already knew what happened if you let it time out there, because that's what happens in the playthrough done by Achievement Hunter (Geoff can't figure out the motion controls and ends up timing out) and it's not too interesting, just an immediate 'death'. If you go into a room but don't lock it I THINK you cut straight to a 'death' but I don't actually remember.

@@mertbince6582If Mike doesn’t burn the Sanatorium by himself, then he will get attacked by a Wendigo, and he will get some bruises and bleed a bit, so yeah, I guess so.
Mike is alive, because this wendigos weaker than Hannah's wendigo, and they are older
