Thank you for addressing the snark we've seen in some of the group comments. It boggles my mind the way some people feel completely comfortable speaking to another person. It is very often the same people doing it. Some have been getting away with it for years without consequence. I was beginning to wonder if anyone else was seeing it too. Thank you for being one of the kindest people in this community . You always have been. ❤

Katie, I really enjoyed your WIP and hope your little guy feels better soon. I'm glad my husband is gone this week and hopefully all my DAC paintings arrive before he gets home. I lost my mind. I'm 75 so I'll never get all of them completed in my lifetime, however, I sure had fun spending my kid's inheritance. lol 🦖🦕

Katie, you did a fantastic job all through the entire last week, and thank you so much for your lives leading up to BF and CM releases! Thank you for being such a positive, inclusive member of this community. But I also understand your need to support other shops after a DAC heavy week! I don’t know how the general “viral load” looks in southern CA at the moment, but here in the Midwest I learned people are testing positive for 3 viruses at the same time recently: “C-19”, RSV, and Strep. Hopefully Micah is definitely on the mend and it was a short-lived respiratory virus for him. I’ve been hit hard with a virus that’s causing some bronchitis and sinusitis, but luckily haven’t tested positive for the “big 3.”
Give yourself some extra grace and rest time after working so hard this past week, and I hope the rest of your household remains relatively healthy. Sending love and positive vibes. ❤🐉

Thanks for the WIP and chat, Katie! I am so sorry you're little guy is not feeling good! My, not so little guy, is also sick and has been since Friday, as well. I hope he feels better soon! I have to say I completely agree with you on the replies people are posting. It makes me crazy. Noone seems to think about it, if no one asked questions, that have already been asked, there would be no conversation going on because I'm sure there are very few questions, if any, that have not been asked. I wish people would think before they speak or just not comment at all. Hope you have a great week! 🐉🐲

It’s funny, I like to use my Cat proof trays with Elizabeth Ward storage and the Firefly trays with the cubes or round screw top storage containers. We all have our ‘ways’! LOL 🐲🐉

I've definitely been better that's for sure!! I've dealing with horrible sinus headaches due to allergies, long story short a lady moved in upstairs and has cats which I am allergic to. So I've not been able to work on my diamond painting because the pain is so bad 😢 hopefully these headaches will ease up so I can something done 🥺🐉I hope you have a great week, Katie! 🩷💜

I totally understand water damage, still dealing with it
I haven’t been online much for a week, I had a major flood in my house, a main pipe into the house burst and flowed water until the township could come out and turn it off at the road, so I’m exhausted. I’m sure the live was great as usual ❤
Thanks Katie for another great whip and chat! I’m also a little sad for the upcoming Christmas holiday. My oldest daughter, and my two granddaughters won’t be coming home this year and we’re not gonna be able to flying out there so I don’t get to see them until February 🥺 But I was able to decorate the house and put our new Christmas tree up so is helping to bring me into more of the holiday spirit. Hi. Thanks for a great WIP & Chat. I enjoyed the live on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I got this kit. I am excited that Margaret Morales came to DAC. I hope Hades and Persephone will come out soon. I missed it on the other shop.
I updated my gems flow during your live Friday. It's so important to do it right away or else it becomes this huge chore in our brains and we avoid it. Crucial to stay on top of it. i had a lot to log. I snagged 7 from DAC 4 from Dreamer Design, 3 from Bella Art Diamonds.
Ugh, we have something going around here at work, it's the worst. I hope Micah feels better soon! 🐉

I am so grateful that you brought up the snarkiness on fb groups recently.. I was recently on the receiving end of it in the DAC VIP group for simply asking a question about a new product that was being released. I had friends who also had the same question and most of the responses were appalling. I had to step away and stop reading the comments because they were triggering my anxiety so much 🐉🐲

Hey! I hope you get some well deserved rest because I saw you posting stuff for DAC everyday if not multiple times per day. At times it felt like DAC was all I was seeing on all my devices so thankfully my boyfriend asked to play video games with him all weekend. I was up at 2am and I was the one who asked if Cyber Monday was dropping for the general public-- thank you for not murdering me 😂 I was able to pick up Onihime and Carolers. Carolers was a little delayed in getting up on DAC so I'll get with them and ask if they can combine orders. Last night I finally got Ruby status! 🐲

Katie I feel ya on the sadness, we too are not going home to Ohio for Christmas this year and we are super sad about it. And we are moving right after the holidays which is stressful but just gonna try to make the most of it. Hope you can visit home soon ❤. Also I highly recommend iron flame I devoured it in 2 days 😂!!!! 🐲
Katie, have you ever tried the Loop Earplugs to help you when Micah is doing his sensory seeking? These are amazing at helping to lower the decibel level, but you can still hear everything going on in the background. They really help me when I am feeling sensory overloaded.
Thanks for the reminder about being kind. We as a society seem to think that it's ok to be snarky or rude or say whatever comes to mind because it's online and not face-to-face. I'm all about freedom of speech, don't get me wrong... but there is such as thing as accountability. If you wouldn't say something that you are typing in a comment directly to someone's face because it's not a nice thing to say, perhaps re-think why you are typing it in the first place. Anonymity shouldn't excuse snark. If you don't have something nice to say or you can't be helpful... then your comment doesn't really have a purpose does it. We should all be mindful and purposeful in what we share. God Bless, and have a happy holiday!

I don't have any social media, but since I have gotten my mother hooked on diamond painting, I will sometimes use her account to see the releases and I do agree with you. Hi Katie. Thanks for the WIP and chat. I'm so sorry to hear that Mica got sick right at Thanksgiving time. Poor little guy! :( It's never fun when a kiddo is sick and even less so during a holiday. I'm praying that me, hubby, and our little one (our daughter) manages to stay healthy throughout December and at xmas time. I hope you and your family will be healthy for that as well. While I'm not on facebook, I have seen that kind of unnecessary attitude and behavior elsewhere and it makes me sad. There really is no need for it. But I digress. About the DAC Black Friday sale, I'm SO happy because I got all 4 of the kits I had planned to buy (including Under the Stairs.. YAY)! They're supposed to arrive tomorrow so hopefully Fedex will get them delivered to me safe and sound tomorrow. They get a little iffy/dodgy here locally during the holidays so that's why I say that. So fingers crossed! lol! Anyways, I hope you and your family has a great week this week and enjoy your diamond paintings! Oh oh! I'm starting a big one tomorrow (from DAC) called Christmas Lane which is so pretty and I think it's gonna be so beautiful when it's done! I'm really excited to be starting it tomorrow! Yay! Hehe! DAC is off to a good start with Margaret Morales. As of 11:30 am Atlantic time on cyber monday, 2 of the 3 have already sold out. I really want to see how this piece turns out for you.
The problem too is even if you try and search or find things FB is just dumb about what it shows you, which I hate. But yeah people were on edge this week.
🌋🌋🌋🌋🌋 Hi Katie, good morning from Los Angeles County. I have a Samsung galaxy Android phone. So no Dragons, but I used a Volcano emojies. I mean both spit out fire. I didn't work on my WIP this morning, everytime I do my Sciatic nerve on my left side works up. I really don't like pain. So to hear your sons had fevers. Also not being able to visit Ohio.
Ignore the fools who unfairly critic you. They are looking for their 15min of fame.

I love watching you work, but I am so jealous. I am still slooooow at doing this and don't get me started on multiplacing (can't get the diamonds lined up in the tray lol). I also just used my kids' inheritance over the weekend. Kept saying "I'm not getting any more until I finish these", then placing another order. Got to finish a small one I started, then pick one of the DAC.
I hope Micah is feeling better. I know exactly how you feel. It’s so hard to get back east, especially during the holidays. Parents in NY, My oldest is in Ohio. This year we are enjoying not traveling anywhere, not even for a swim meet!
As soon as I saw this kit I thought, “this has Katie written all over it” so I was really glad that you got to do the sneak peek.
The VIP group definitely has not been good vibes lately. It’s either people leaving snarky comments or complaining about DAC not doing something they want. So that definitely needed to be said.
I’m so sorry that you’re not going to be able to visit your family. I hope that you can have a zoom type dinner with them at least. And it sounds like you have some wonderful in-laws so I’m sure that will help some. But I know it will not be the same.

Additionally, a friend recommended Fourth Wing to me and it’s on my to read list. Great minds and all. I recommend The Shadowspell Academy if you haven’t read it yet. It’s Harry Potter meets Hunger Games. 🐲

Hey Katie, I watched part of this yesterday, got your email response, sent something back, and finished here today. I have a question about Margaret’s art. As I am sure you know DAC released several of her on Monday. I love her style, color palette, everything but the red around her eyes. Do you know what that is supposed to be showing? Sadness? I think if I understood it better I would like pictures more. Any ideas? 🐉
