big shout out to your product photographer, they make the pens and inks look fantastic. really well done sadly I don't have the funds to buy them all but believe me with the pictures taken I want too.
The finial for bamboo shoot is a bamboo shoot, chestnut has chestnut, gourd has a persimmon , persimmon has wild grapes, red bean has ancient rice, they are mix matching finials with limited inks they released with these pens.
I believe the Gourd pen has a symbol referring to the ink it comes with which is the plum! The persimmon pen probably also refers to the ink which is grape. :)
Greetings Drew, I’ve previously recorded quite long vlogs myself only to find that the auto-focus has been pulled by something and so the hunting does its thing. Thankfully it’s the quality of the content that matters to 99% of people! 👊
The Sailor Manyo quintet is fantastic. Two of them, especially, jumped out at me straight away. I wish these were offered in the standard PG, instead of the PG Slim. I’m still not overly fond of the design aesthetic of Scribo pens. But I do own two Scribo Feel pens. The truly stellar 14k flex nibs alone make the pens essential (and completely worthy) purchases.
I loved the persimmon pen from Sailor.. I have bought too many Sailors this year, so I need to wait for the persimmon to find its way into my collection eventually ! Just when I thought I have had enough of Sailor, they find a way to draw me into this..again !
Persimmon is stunning, the color of the cap is persimmon, but you're right though, that stamp on the cap really doesn't look like a persimmon. Maybe it's a bunch of lotus persimmons? Either way, sailor has outdone themselves with these collections.

I can't justify buying the colorverse calendar. I'd like it better if it included less ink bottles and other products instead, like those interesting cards, or pen holders, pen loops, small notebooks or postcards, stamps, etc., or if it was cheaper and included smaller bottles. I was expecting wearingeul doing a calendar with smaller bottles (like 5 to 10ml), maybe combining it with swatching cards christmas inspired, and maybe for 25th day a glitter potion that you could combine with the rest of the inks. I think Sailor is pulling our legs. Either that or they just messed up. The ink that comes with the "persimmon" pen (that has the grapes on top) translates to grape. The ink that comes with the "gourd " pen (with the fruit on top) translates to Plum. I think maybe it was translation issue. Stunning pens though... my favourite Sailor release in a long time ❤
I almost bought the Conklin Duragraph black matte demo pen 2 weeks ago but I ended up going with the Monteverde Ritma Espresso. Not mad about it but this will definitely be in my collection within a month or two ❤
That magnetic pen loop is better known as a bookmarked. With a journal that has no ribbon you can use it to mark your place. Or use it on an old fashioned (non digital) book to open to the last page when you put the book down.
I did a deep dive on the Sailor website bc the mix-matching threw me off - VERY satisfying explanations and images 🍇🥥🌾 BTW takenoko (bamboo shoots) are big-deal tasty, as in get a shovel and basket/throw a foraging party tasty .

Found a use for it I bought a Parker Vector but almost immediately discarded it as it was too small for my hands , it felt fiddly and was consigned to the spares box My wife recently returned from a conference, they had given out some smart A6 notebooks 240 pages so useful It had a pen sleeve on the side, a test of my pens revealed none would fit Then I remembered the Parker, yes perfect fit an ideal pocket combo Reminded that everything has a place it’s just a question of discovery 😅
I want that ECO, and I am not generally a fan. I have come to appreciate my purple one, but I like the VAC700R a lot more. I am debating getting my hubby the new Fire and Dice. I got the first one for him and it is a great pen but he doesn't use pens much at all, especially at home. I don't need another Duragraph, I don't need another Duragraph, I don't need another Duragraph! I would love to see the Liliput in Brian's hands! I love chonky pens but he uses the Traveler's Brass pen so it must not be too small. I am impressed with your ability to sell the Amalfi when you aren't a fan. I can't decide if I like this or not. It has a lot going on and is very unique. I suspect if I had been to the Amalfi Coast that I would be obsessed. The theme seems to match the coast very well. I would grab one if it weren't so expensive. Trying to pinch my pennies for now. This new stuff is all so tempting!

Not sure what's up with those Japanese translations. Another commenter sorted out "budō." I'll add that "sumomo" is a Japanese plum, not a gourd. As with the "budō" case, the medallion and ink box illustrations make sense, but the English translations don't.

The plant themed sailors as well. I'm a forager and as a result have an adoration of plants.

The Colorverse is more, but you get a fair amount more ink, a total of 360 ml vs 318ml. Only 24 days instead of 25 though, if that's important to you.

Persimmons are excellent! Just make sure it's a ripe one. You'll regret it if you don't.

I like when they say Blurple…I keep forgetting what Indigo actually is (yes yes I know) and Blurple is just easier.
