Oleg Hlomko I also have the same issue on my one. Blower working but no heater.
As far as I know - rear air flow doesn't go through heater matrix, that's located in front. You can have AC in all zones, but heating coming from the front only. I'm not professional, and might be wrong :)
@@wawayltd Aha... Thanks for your response.... Suprised, it is my first winter so I really don't know is it normal or something is broken... So, had you same story every winter with your Sharan? Rear flow should be swithed off that period?
My local VW specialist believes mine needs a new Rear Auxiliary Heater. Part No. 1K0815071AN Webasto Diesel heater. Hope this helps you. I haven't changed mine yet. I turn off my rear blowers during winter.

Thanks for the great video. I've done this twice now but both times the airbag light came on after putting everything back. The wiring seemed OK and the first time I ended up having to have a VW service garage fix it. My MOT is coming up for renewal so I need to get it fixed again. Any idea how to reset the airbag light?
Lots of scanners should be able to do it. Unless there's something wrong with actual airbag system..

Perfect timing. Thank you for these instructional videos. My blower went just yesterday. Do you know which fuse the blower is on? I want to check that first.
Not sure about the fuse, sorry. Owners manual is not helpful for fuse info. If I'm looking for fuse - I just check all of them..

Yes. I have this problem, just don't have a time to look into it. Someone today already commented about it - have a look in comments below.. I think he's got some solution from some forum.
@@wawayltd ahh I see that from xbalbyx. You'd hope that if it is a "well known fault" then VW would have some inclination to fix for free. I managed to get a free Catalytic Convertor after mine need replaced at 65k! They were trying to charge me £1400! Your videos gave me the confidence to work on my own cars. I did my first service at the weekend on my Skoda Fabia and when the time comes I'm going to do the Sharan too! Thanks 👍

And thanks for the quick response, I changed last year the distribution kit of my sharan tdi 2l 2012 by following your advice it was perfect thank you thank you, but a few weeks later I heard tac tac tac tac sounds to the front of the vehicle side
Passenger, this noise is after the engine stops or when I open with the beep and disappears. After some research, the problem comes from the Webasto water pump located behind the bumper under the light.
Reported defect comes from mass bad contact or short circuit.
I intend to disassemble the bumper and empty the cooling system and at the same time the Egr and the fap.
What do you think ?
I would need method to disassemble bumper and egr (a pdf file as you did for Adblue and distribution.

Hello, if you're looking for workshop manual, I would recommend Elsawin (have a look on eBay), it costs little and worth to have it.

By the way, EGR is not located under the bumper, it's behind engine under DPF and turbo..

Is that the one around steering wheel? No, not yet. Currently I'm in the situation where I can justify only time that's spent for something that's really broken. maybe at some point in the future... Sorry.
WheelsAndMotors yeah no problem I think it’s pretty straight forward. Need to remove airbag then steering wheel to get to the clock spring. Need vag diagnostic tool to reset airbag light after fitting. If you want to do a video of it I have the part just will need to fit it location is Manchester 😂

Great videos! But before I go to buy the fan motor etc, I would like to check the relevant fuse. Yet on the user manual there is no fuse box diagrams! I need to go to a sevrice/maintenance manual to get that top secret info? Totally crazy! Would you have a fusebox diagram and would you do a video about fuses in Sharan/Alhambra? I am thinking specifically to deal with the problem of the front heater/fan not working. Many thanks in advance!
Sorry, I don't have fuse diagram. I know only 2 places for fuses - under the bonnet and compartment under steering wheel by obd plug.. If I'm looking for fuse, I just check all those..

And also please consider sharing how did you manage to fix your EGR / DPF error. Did replacing the new parts resolved the problem?
I didn't replace EGR yet. So far error didn't come back. But I have a feeling that it may be inevitable.. Once it's started. Will see.
@@wawayltd i have egr problem. Was quoted from dealer. But i have complained it to seat. I believe this will help. If they fixed your emission scandal and within 2 years if any problem arise it will be fixed free of cost...mine fixed under goodwill....
I think that with my 300.000 miles on a clock I'm out of any warranty :)
@@wawayltd if they fixed your emission scandal you have 2years unlimited mileage warranty. My dealer told me that as i had 110000 on clock and complained seat they've confirmed from the fix date anything relates to emission has unlimited mileage warranty for 2years..hopefully it helps...
But it does not applies to euro 6 engine...
Hi, could you tell me how many liters of coolant it takes for Sharan 2l tdi 170 ? And how to purge the cooling circuit? Very cordially
I don't normally purge it. I just pour coolant till it levels. When air eventually comes out I top it up. Keep it simple. 😉
As for quantity, some say put 2 litres and rest water. Some say don't bother with watet - just pure coolant. Shame to admit, but I don't even know how much. I suppose 5 litre bottle should be enough..
Great video but I don’t see why the whole glovebox needed removing. I took out the bottom panel which you show at 4:15 then pressed down the clip rotated the fan and then disconnected. Placed new one in and connected and done. Took maybe 2mins

Rear vents are different system from the front with its own blower located at the back. You can control them separately from your climate control buttons by pressing "rear". Rear vents are heated only by auxiliary heater, when it dies (very common) - there is no hot air through the rear. I also have this problem, but due to mild winters in UK, I keep ignoring it... Being common problem there are lot of discussions about it in forums and Facebook groups. Personally I didn't get involved, so I don't know how to fix it.
Is this fan constantly on while driving? I have a feeling that is constantly on, and as I speed up,the fan blows faster. As I slow down, fans slow down . Is this possible?

It is normally constantly in, but it shouldn't depend on car speed.

I have same problem, rear is heated by auxiliary heater, but I didn't fix it yet, so sorry - I can't help yet.
i found this on a vw forum it can be helpful "You have a very well known common fault. There is a valve which is underneath the car that requires a software update and replacement depending on which one you have. I think the part number you need is 7n0819810e. It has to be 'e' or later and then it requires a software update.

hello, I have an Alhambra 7N (2012). I made contact with the cable and saw the overvoltage. reschte side back doesn’t let go of the brakes. I want to read errors but the connection has no power so I can't. all security checked all are in order. how can i read errors or how can the connection have power again. thank you
I believe we are talking about stuck parking brake? I think there must be problem with the wire, I'm not experienced with wiring, but it must be found and fixed. As for releasing that wheel, if motor is still functioning it should be possible to apply 12V directly to that plug, try both polarities to find out which way to open.

Oh, I see, there is no power in diagnostics connection, sorry I misunderstood you. I'm afraid in that case it's out of my competence, I can only recommend to look for auto electrician. Sorry.

Hello, I have some files that need editing, but they apply to rear blower replacement. If your rear motor blows the air, replacing motor won't make it warmer. There must be some auxiliary heater for rear, but I haven't discovered it yet sorry. My rear blower also blows cold air only.. Don't have much time for my UA-cam channel at the moment :(

If it's getting cold at the back, you can switch off your rear blower - press "REAR" on your climate control to control rear climate settings.

These things should never breakdown, it's as if the manufacturer sits down with it's top engineers and says' Make Us Some Money', it's pathetic to say the least. VW ( very worship) Hitler knew a thing or too about Freemasonry but the ( people choosen by ...) anyway will leave my rant there!
