I picked up the E-PL1 about 3 or 4 years ago for around 25USD, was amazed to get an interchangeable lens body for so little. I have other M43 bodies but this one is just so easy to use and still takes great pics even at 12mp.
EPL-1 + Lumix 20mm f1.7 + plus O M Workspace. Quite effective combination. The 20 does have purple fringing. Its only drawback. I shoot raw and jpg. The ooc jpg corrects the purple fringing very well. So well, I occasionally process the jpg in Raw Therapee 5.9 instead!
@@too_many_cameras Seems fast enough to me. I'm sure there are much faster newer out there. My Sony a7r2 with 24-105 f4 misses focus occasionally. The EPL-1 is about as reliable IMHO.
Something that isn't mention in the video but quite important is that the E-P1 has a strong AA filter, while the E-PL1 has a weak AA filter, thus resulting in sharper images out of the latter.
Another interesting and useful presentation. Thank you so very much for all your great content!

That does sound like a good kit. Only thing i wish these early M4/3 cameras had was a bit quicker autofocus

Thanks for letting me know. I thought they shared the internals pretty much
Which has the better sharper images I’ve heard the AA filter makes images worse . Take the GX80 for example has no AA filter
I bought a E-PL1 few years ago second hand.
It wasn't very cheap. I paid USD $64 for the body.
I just want to have a piece of legacy on hand.
Does the EP1 take an electronic viewfinder?
Only optical viewfinder as far as i know
Yes it does…. Big advantage
