2009年10月生まれ。2歳からおもちゃ代わりにドラムを始め、4歳からライブ活動を始める。
5歳で 『かねあいよよか』を結成、幼稚園在籍中の6歳でファーストCDを発売。
作詞作曲、ボーカル、ピアノも担当。ライブやイベントなどこれまでに100本以上のステージを経験。
国内外のテレビやラジオ、新聞や雑誌など各メディアで50回以上出演＆特集が組まれる。吉幾三やタカアンドトシ、COW COW、バービー、EXILE SHOKICHI、大泉洋など多数の芸能人やアーティストと共演。
菅沼孝三、川口千里、石若駿、安部潤、MAD大内など数々のプロミュージシャンともライブで共演。
2017年8月、『第2回 スーパーキッズパフォーマンスコンテスト』小学校低学年の部で優勝。
2018年6月、世界的な女性ドラマーのコンテスト『Hit Like A Girl 2018』の18歳以下の部にて、最年少の8歳でウイークリーチャンピオンとなる快挙を達成。
Led Zeppelinの『Good Times Bad Times』をカヴァー演奏した応募動画は、アメリカのローリングストーン誌やビルボードで特集され、世界中に拡散。
Red Hot Chili Peppersのチャド・スミス、KISSのエリック・シンガー、Sonic Youthのキム・ゴードン、シェリル・クロウ、ショーン・レノンらから称賛される。
国内でも、矢野顕子、佐藤竹善、ハマ・オカモト、亀田誠治、ピエール中野らも驚きとともにSNSでよよかを紹介。
さらにLed Zeppelinのヴォーカリスト、ロバート・プラントもよよかの演奏動画を称賛。
2018年8月11日、国内最大級の野外ロックフェスティバル『RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2018 in EZO』に史上最年少出演。オリジナル曲のほか、Char、奥田民生、KenKen、聡一郎（CROSS ROAD）をゲストに迎え、Led Zeppelinの『Good Times Bad Times』を演奏。
2018年9月11日、さいたまスーパーアリーナで開催された『第27回東京ガールズコレクション2018 AUTUMN/WINTER8』でドラム演奏を披露。3万人の観客を沸かせた。
2018年10月8日、札幌の道新ホールにてアマチュアとして異例の700名チケットソールドアウト。
2018年10月21日、東京ビックサイトで開催された国内最大の楽器総合イベント『2018楽器フェア』の『ベースの日×ドラムの日 楽器フェア50周年スペシャル』に出演。ベーシストの亀田誠治やドラマーのピエール中野、KOUHEI（4 Limited Szabys）と共演。
同11月29日、札幌のhitaruにてNHK「いまこそ、ひとつに、北海道ライブ」にアマチュアで唯一出演。細川たかし、大黒摩季、AKB48、Littele Glee Monster、SHISHAMO、大泉洋と共演。
大黒摩季のステージでは「ららら」のドラムで参加。
Pearl、VIC FIRTHと史上世界最年少エンドース契約。
Zildjian、CYMPAD、DWともエンドース契約。
"Yoyoka"の衝撃は今も世界へ広がり続けている。

すごいし、楽しかったです。山木さんもＹＯＹＯｋＡちゃんと同世代なのっ？って感じになれるところが山木さんの人間的深さだと思います。そしてそれが山木さんの言っておられるその沢山の人を引き込むグルーブに通じるのだと理解しました。ありがとう。僕は６０代後半の男性ですけど、これを見てまた勉強になりました。
山木さんのクールなレジェンドというイメージが変わりましたね。人間的な深みと可愛いお茶目な一面がある人であの神がかった演奏とのギャップ、見た目のイメージと演奏とのギャップという面ではよよかちゃんと相通じるお二人ですね。ちなみに私は70代ですが3年ほど前によよかちゃんのおかげでロックに目覚め60年間JAZZ一筋から現在はよよか党に入信です。

...and you ought to hear her mother's singing voice, it's here on UA-cam, my God, she's got a beautiful voice...and I mean the type of voice I'll never forget, she's that good. Talented family is a major understatement.

She is teaching how to play drums at 8 or 9 years old! She is such a breath of fresh air!
The fact that she can be her accomplished pro self and her completely age-appropriate joyful goofball child self at the same time somehow is so beautiful-never seen this combination before. Truly the god particle here.
You can tell that a drummer is a really mature, advanced and professional when you hear them just setting up a basic student practice groove, like she does in the beginning. Because when someone like that does so, they are subconsciously adding very fine details to the beat that only someone with that experience would.

Honestly, I really do not know anybody who already has such a good sense of rhythm and a well-developed drum technique at such a young age! Yoyoka is a natural - thumbs up from Germany!

Have no idea what was being said but , I think that guy was telling her , that compared to her he sucked and was going to commit hari kari , and the rest of the interview she was talking him out of it...god bless that lil angel !
#20 in her online instructional series, they discuss 'heavy' drumming which uses and fills a large musical space, as it's opposed to 'fast' drumming. And the differences in playing a show as opposed to a recording session. So much experience & wisdom from someone who may or may not be allowed to use the microwave! They also discuss how small she was at age 5, perhaps how childish?, and perhaps that's when they met?(despite hearing some, my Japanese is actually not that trustworthy, so...) Another long section devoted to probably how to play 'around' the vocals (not interfere), or perhaps imitating vocals in your playing?, I'm not sure.

@Michael Srite yamaki is a pretty well known jazz drummer. yoyoka's parents actually don't play the drums, she's self taught.

One time she mentioned that she doesn't want to overpower other instruments when playing. She knows to adjust to the other musicians. That just shows her maturity. I guess she learned that from This man.

What's good about Yoyoka's drum performance is that it sounds like Yoyoka.
When we hear the sound of the drums, we know it's "Yoyoka's sound", and that's Yoyoka's personality.
■Moderator:
Now for the remaining questions.
Which instrument do you pay attention to while playing drums?
●Yamaki-san:
If there is a vocalist in the session, I listen carefully to the vocalist's voice while playing the drums.
★Yoyoka-san:
Same here.
●Yamaki-san:
When there is no vocalist, I try to listen to the other instruments equally.
★Yoyoka-san:
When there is a vocalist, I do the same as Yamaki-san.
However, when there is no vocalist, I listen to the bass player when the music is heavy, but I listen to the guitar or piano when the music is light.

I see, I think that's good too.
★Yoyoka-san:
Even when playing drums in rock music, I sometimes listen to all the instruments, it depends on the situation at the time.

I don't like playing in a live house without an audience, but recording is a different feeling.
I don't like it when there are people around because I'm playing the drums into the microphone, and in this case it's more fun to play alone.
What I'm doing (playing drums) is the same, but how I feel when I'm doing it is different between recording and live performance.

Hideo Yamaki, a famous and seasoned drummer in Japan, and Yoyoka first met when she attended his drum school for three days only when she was 5 yo.
He has known her since she was very young and she seems relaxed.
Yoyoka-san was 9 yo and Yamaki-san was probably 65 yo at the time this video was shot.
