  • This 02 GT came in for a coyote swap. It is a very nice car and now it runs like a champ making more power and torque than a stock engine makes boosted. I love coyote swaps check out this video on what is on the car. Need an install quote? Email quote@brenspeed.com and have your budget in mind there are a lot of ways to build these.
    Check out Brenspeed's coyote swap section for random coyote swap parts www.brenspeed....
    Dont see it no problem not every part is on our website call to order at 574.594.9559
    Thank you so much for watching!

      Did my 98 gt. Omg its fast. Did it in 2015. So it was expensive back then. But its a bone stock gen 1 amd with a set of drag radials it will run in the 11's.

It's alot more unique too a newer s550 they're cool but everywhere far from unique a coyote swap new edge done like this is alot more cool and will get new mustangs mod for mod because of the weight advantage. I love it.

      Hi thanks for the comments. To give you an idea if you had all parts and we were only talking labor in a new edge (not a hot rod) at this moment (prices change all the time) if you brought a rolling chassis and we installed full engine, set up working A/C, Power Steering, Cooling & Fan, Trans and shaft, hard wired the control pack computer system, made all the OEM gauges work, installed the correct return style fuel system, did the battery relocation to the trunk, and installed the full exhaust front to back you would be looking around $5500. Different options change the price that is just a rough estimate. (rough estimate all cars are different price) It is a lot more than just dropping in an engine and trans.... Thanks!

    Great video! On a 2001 v6 with a 4R70W auto transmission, would the transmission have to get upgraded/switched out for a coyote swap? The goal would be still to keep it NA.

    • @nitrous36
      @nitrous36 2 роки тому

      Youll have to change the trans.The 3.8 V6 uses the windsor V8 bolt pattern at the bell housing. The modular V8s are different. If you wish to keep a 4R70W, youll have to pull one from a 4.6 mustang or crown vic.
      Since you'd have to replace the trans, you might as well swap in a newer 6 6 or 8 spd auto if you wish to keep it automatic.

      You use a FRPP control pack as far as the harness goes. This means you are not using the factory computer or harness to operate the engine. You can retain the stock tank but you will be changing the pump set up.

    Swapping a gen 2 coyote into my 03' GT, decided to go with built 4R70W with a standalone controller. For the life of me, I cannot get any information about what control pack I should use because most gen 2's are either manual or for the 6R80, any ideas what I should purchase to finally get this damn thing out of my garage? • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  4 роки тому

Even having 3 different generations of coyote's available change the price a lot as well as transmission options.

      Rajah, thanks for the comment! Except... no not everybody understands there are different ways to do it. Some want new, some used, some shitty parts some bad ass parts. Some people try to be cheap, some want the best. Prices fluctuate at least 2 times through the year on new parts. Video's stay up forever... So I dont post pricing because somebody watching this later the pricing is not accurate then they are disappointed. Thanks again!

The price is $5000. We have learned these 10 items are a must have and they cost $7000. Our shop rate is $110 hourly. Normally we bill for 30 hours for a coyote swap job. $20,000. is about what you can expect.

      Hi thanks for the comment. Reason is because video's, forums, etc.... never go away and a price posted is good for that day and not a year later OR YEARS LATER. I still reply to video's comments that are years and years old and if prices were posted its not accurate. But you are a correct expect to pay 20k to 25k for a swap. But you can also pay 50k. Depends what you want, depends new vs used, depends on tons of factors nobody thinks about. Again thanks for the comment! Hope that answers your questions on numbers.
