I think the idea behind Rapunzel's dress was to make it look like her flower. It has similar petal shape, I'm not sure how to make it other than "folded napkin" style. I think the main downfall of this dress is absence of the accessories. If they would've added a golden belt or made the top part with gold elements and more elaborated, the skirt would've looked better. The only doll I have from the Masquerade line is the Evil Queen. If I would've been able to buy any of these dolls, I would've got Meg, Belle and the Sleeping Beauty set. I like Esmeralda but she is really hard to incorporate into my collection. And although Meg is in a similar position you can still work around Greek mythology / Goddess pantheon theme with her and Esmeralda is a stand alone.
I love the fact that we got Esmeralda, Megara, & Giselle n Edward in this line. Belle is my favorite princess(out of the princess line and in general) but I don't like the fact that they used black on this dress design wish they would have done a midnight blue in place of the black to mimic Beast's jacket from the ballroom scene in the movie. I never thought about the fact that Belle does look very Phantom of the Opera like before but once you said that I see why they used black it makes sence now.
My favorite in this set is cinderella hands down I’ll have her in my hands in about a week. As for my least favorite in this set it’s belle I just don’t like the black parts of her dress I feel like they should have done it bright red like her rose in the movie.
They are all gorgeous! But did you notice that Cinderella was the only one with the mask set properly. Otherwise they were backwards in the wrong hands.
Thanks for showing us! Could you please pull the boxes out from behind the dolls placed in front of them for future videos? It’s hard to see the detail when there’s other dolls in front of them and glair
I was surprised you put Cinderella higher, she’s too similar to her premier doll I still find her rather bland but not Rapunzel ugly. My order would be 8.Rapunzel 7.Cinderella 6.Aurora 5.Tiana 4.Belle 3. Giselle 2.Esmeralda 1.Megara
I’m also surprised when these came out belle sold right away. While Esmeralda was there for a while and meg lasted I think two days can’t remember but she lasted longer than her 16” doll.
My ranking: 8.- The Enchanted set: Giselle is beautiful, but as a simple peasant and not in a gala way. Also, I really don't understand why does she came with Edward instead of Robert, and Edward is a really ugly doll. It seems that he has no neck. I was very disappointed of the set. 7.- Rapunzel. Is a very simple doll, but I like her. She looks like she came out of a Shakespeare play. 6.- Tiana and Naveen: Both dolls look gorgeous, but Tiana looks like a charleston dancer. I don't think she fits with the collection theme. 5.- Belle: A really elegant doll. I just don't like the plastic piece on her shoulder. 4.- Aurora and Prince Phillip: Agree with the thin fabric issue, but she looks gorgeous nonetheless. Also, Aurora as a character is most likely to wear slim dresses, contrary to Cinderella or Belle, who can relate more with a fuller princess gown. But my bigger problem with this set, is the lack of accessories. Aurora needs her signature crown and necklace, and Phillip is missing his cape. If Disney Store had add those accesories, maybe they would have been my favourite dolls of the entire collection. 3.- Megara. She looks like a greek goddess. I put her in the 3rd place, because I would like to see some embroidery details, instead of printed ones. But, wow! What a doll! 2.- Cinderella. She is one of the prettiest Cinderella dolls I've ever seen in my life. The best is the Saks one, and the Midnight Masquerade one looks so similar to it. Disney Store did a great job with her. 1.- Esmeralda. This doll is perfection. Her face is gorgeous (better than the 17" one), her hair is on point, and her dress is like a fancier version of the gown that she used in the movie. Definetively, a must have for any Hunchback of Notre Dame fan. 🙂
The rapunzel doll is the only disney collector doll I own. I saw her on sale at the diseny store and just decided to get her. I braided her hair.
