I loved them all! Great gifts for those who have children and little money! Something beautiful for a tree or a wreath. They gladden the heart thank you!
Oh my goodness! I've only watched half an hour and I love all of this. So cute! It harkens back to a time when I would sit with my grandmother and make little ornaments for my tree. Thank you so much for sharing and it is a delight to listen to you as well😊
Love how they all turned out! Back in the 70's we made similar decorations in school, I was always proud mom put them on the tree! Thaks so much for sharing!
Thank you Debra! In school, we only made paper lanterns and coloured in angels. I wish I had been at your school. It sounds like a fun place at Christmas.
@@myhomeonthehillside It was! One thing I don't see anymore was when you cut out images and glued them on Styrofoam balls and dipped them in a clear wax umm sometimes I think white wax was used depending on picture you used. I have been looking for those direction on that decoration but haven't found it yet. Ahh it was in the 70's lol been a while!
@@myhomeonthehillside I am thinking the handmade Christmas ball decoration was a type of decoupage, I remember the balls being first dipped in a white wax and pictures cut out I think from cards but were winter scenes and also mostly white. were put on the balls and dipped again in a thin wax but now we have that acrylic spray..hmm gives me ideas!!!. I have spent many hours looking at vintage 1970's Christmas balls lol it bugs you when you can't find what you're looking for!
I love them all ❤ I could listen to you talk all day. Would you like to have american granddaughter who is grown😂? I would just love to be her. My mom and grandma have been gone for year new. I miss them dearly 😢 God bless you and your family ❤
Thank you Keri! SOrry to hear of your loss, it sounds like you loved them very much. You are definitely welcome into my UA-cam family :D There are so many lovely people subscribed to my channel that you will fit right in :)
These ornaments are so cute, I never seen anything like them. Thanks for showing us how to make them. I really like the French stitch, I used to use the running stitch all of the time. These were fun and easy too. Have a great week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
I love them all ! The whole lot would be perfect together on a tree for a very old fashioned country / primitive type theme ! How do you come up with all these ideas ? You never cease to amaze me Caroline !
Hi Caroline, thanks for all of these cute ideas, and for taking the mystery out of French knots! I love the stitching on the bird's tail feathers, but I think my favorite is the tree with the French knot baubles on it. I'm inspired to get some felt and start designing something for my own little tree!
Thank you Rachel! French knows looks so much more complicated than they really are, so lift any project to a new level :) I bet your tree will turn out fabulous :D
Oh my goodness French knots, i never realised they would be so easy 😮😮 I'll definitely be making some of these decorations with French knots for sure. Thank you as always for such wonderful inspiration 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love them all! My favorites are the mittens and the bird. I might add a santa or elf hat at a jaunty angle on the bird. And maybe use some glitter felt for some sparkly mittens. I am so enjoying this Christmas in July series! I enjoyed last years too.
Thank you so much! Oh yes, a hat at a jaunty angle would be perfect :D I am so glad you enjoy my Christmas in July videos. They are such fun to make :)
These are the nicest felt ornaments I have seen And very achievable. I think I liked the mug with the cream the most. Seeing you do the French knot took me straight back to high school it was my favourite stitch LOL xx
They're all really nice but inching ahead by a minute fraction would be the heart & key and the little bird 😍 I think my sister took our all late mum's embroidery silks cos at the time, I wouldn't have used them but now, a few years on and I'm getting the urge to sew as I already have plenty of felt. Plus, my sister crochets so probably wouldn't have even used them get anyway. These are so cute!
Thank you Izzy! I think they are my favourites too :) You will have great time with that felt. Shame about the silks. You can get great bargains on them from charity shops though :)
Love your felt decorations and you explain everything so clearly. I would like to make the heart and those cute little mittens. I think a little bell hanging from the bottom of the heart would be a lovely addition. I have previously made little felt Christmas trees and strung them together to make a garland.
Thank you Caz! I love your garland idea!!! I may try that at CHristmas, using an assortment . That way, I can use some things I have already made on it too :)
Hi again! I commented earlier on your one Christmas crafts videos from last year & had to watch this one! So much fun here - haven’t worked with felt in a long time, great to be reminded of how great it can be (sadly, the felt I see in stores these days is not like it was 40+ years ago!). I’m in Ontario, Canada & subscribed now! I can imagine sitting with you crafting at a table & having so many laughs & enjoying the process!
Hello Ellen :D Thank you for subscribing! I agree, felt is quire flimsy nowadays. Some brands seem to add starch, glue or something to stiffen it, but it still isn't what it used to be like. I agree, crafting with company is so much fun :)
About to watch the video and thought I'd mention a Facebook post I saw and lost when FB automatically refreshed the page. (meant to share the post - on the Lets go group). Someone had made animals with (trying to remember the name of the fuzzy wire but my minds gone blank lol - five minutes later I remembered) They were made with "Pipe cleaners" and felted wool, the animals she made were cute and super realistic. (Now wondering if I'd seen that post in the group - my memory agggh) 🤔🤣
I love the bird as well . They would look great on a garland x
Thank you Karen :) Great idea!

Woow. I didn't know felt could be so much fun and look so good. I would make loads of them and string them like bunting.
Thank you Sue! Brilliant idea!!

THank you Ed :) Ah, that soulds like a clever idea. I've never tried it but may look in to it now :)
Sequins sewn on with a seed bead to lock them into place would add a spark of Posh!
Thank you , very clever idea :)
Very pretty, I shall be sticking to the glue gun😅
Thank you Wendy :) That will be a lot faster for you :)
