Hocus Pocus 2 Deletes Scenes

Hocus Pocus was filled with so much magic, Disney couldn’t possibly fit it all in! Let’s explore all of these Disney deleted scenes starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the iconic Sanderson sisters. Did you know that Hocus Pocus 2 had a completely different ending? They rushed to reshoot it months after it wrapped! There are also several hilarious moments shared between the Sanderson sisters that didn’t get to make the cut. There was an entire scene where Sarah and Mary push Winnie into a pool and as she comes out, she shocks them with a smoldering bolt of lightning! That’s one of the few scenes that didn’t get lost on the 1993 cutting room floor - there are so many we won’t ever get to watch. Have you checked out the original trailer from 1993? There are a few different deleted scenes you can catch in it. One of them is the iconic grocery store trip that the Sanderson sisters take to find ingredients to their candy crows. What are candy crows, you ask? Just another thing that was cut from the original shooting script. Originally, the Sanderson sisters would enchant children by giving them cursed candy crows, which would then possess them to make their way to the witches’ home in the woods, where they would then steal their youth. There was also an alternate ending to the original Hocus Pocus! Any Binx fans definitely want to stick around until the end to find out what almost was for their favorite talking cat.

That was very weird when the late actor Charles Rocket (Dave Dennison) made a cocky smile at Omri Katz (Max Dennison) that he won't be getting his driver's license. This was right after Max refused to take his sister Dani (Thora Birch) trick-or-treating. That explains the reason they had to cut that scene because the movie was going to be long. I recognized him from the movie "Dances with Wolves" with Kevin Costner in 1990. I want everyone to watch his face change at the 2:06 minute mark as he gives that cocky smile at his son. Why could've Max tell his dad to stop giving him that cocky smile because he's scaring the crap out of him. His dad refused and made that cocky smile again because he told Max that his comment was all true. And he says that he will not tell his mother Stephanie Faracy (Jennifer Dennison) on him because it was none of her business. I was going to think his mom will be in the scene as she orders him to stop giving that cocky smile at their son because she hates it too. Then he gets really mad as he looks at her as he says, "Dear, Can you please just SHUT UP! THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! I'M TALKING TO OUR BOY HERE, NOW GO AWAY PLEASE AND MIND YOUR BUSINESS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!" As he finishes with that, He continues his chat with his son. But she refused to mind her business because she was serious over the fact that he is scaring the crap out of him. Then he will get really more mad as he orders her to leave and to mind her own business. Can you tell me about that? I didn't like that delete scene at all.

Most of the deleted scenes should have been deleted… Maybe its because I love the movie ao much as it is and can’t imagine any part of it being different. But if any deleted scenes were never deleted and made it in the final movie I would probably love them!! 😂

Kathy Najimy said studio execs wanted the witches to have not so much screen time as they did in original cut, they didn't want to alienate their child viewers so wanted it more balanced between heroes and villains :)
