One of the most darkest villain origin stories ever. The fact that Dark Danny just straight up killed his human side makes me shocked it got past the Nickelodeon censors.
I believe that Danny's ghost half absorbed the negative emotions of his human half and that is why he became corrupted. Besides, Danny rejected his ghost half because he considered it the source of his "pain." That rejection could also generate the malevolence of his ghost half.
Danny wanted to be free of all human emotions. When his Ghost half was removed from him, it was totally free of the conscience of his human half and malevolent. When Vlad's evil ghost half mixed with his it overloaded Danny Phantom and destroyed whatever good might have been left in his ghost half

He probably trained him for a while and over months saw how the loss was affecting him. I also thought vlad saw danny as a replacement for a son so this could be what led him to finally going through with the operation

As a former fan I'm sure this timeline vlad could have taken advantage to finish Danny but since he was close to Jack and mostly Maddie he knew he wouldn't hurt her kid if she knew and in this time line he would have been the last human on earth

Interestingly enough, if you slow the video down to 0.25x speed when he transforms into Dan Phantom(that’s my favorite name for him and I’m sticking by it) the transformation looks and feels really painful
