The Christmas special is really underrated. Not just because you find out that all ghosts share a truce, but also because it focuses on the meaning of Christmas and not Santa.
Christmas has changed over the years. In the past, Christmas was first and foremost a Christian holiday with a strong religious aspect. People were singing religious hymns and went to church for festive services. Nowadays, very few Americans take the religious part of the holiday seriously. If they go to church, they do it more our of respect for the family tradition rather than because they are strong believers. Instead, Christmas became a consumerist holiday. The main aspects now are shopping and gift-giving. To boost sales, many companies have special offers. Most of the gifts are purchased in December, between the huge sale on Black Friday and Christmas Eve. In modern times, it has become an increasingly secularized holiday marked by a season of good cheer and festive family fun. Which being secular means that anyone can really just celebrate Christmas for whatever reason they want whether that be the traditional religious way of doing things or the more modern way of doing things which is just celebrating a gift giving commercial holiday filled with good chill and good will towards your fellow man. If you want to be more specific the original origin of Christmas was started at celebrations held exclusively at public gatherings, but changed in the early-19th century, when families started celebrating on their own. Christmas traditions, such as putting up a tree, gifts and giving to charity, developed during the early to mid-19th century, with each family choosing their own way to celebrate. The feast of Brunalia of the Romans was around the 25th of December, the “birth of the unconquered son”. For all the worshippers of the Persian god of the sun, Mithras, this was similar to Christmas itself. This was perhaps the only other Pagan religion which could be called a proper adversary to the Christian religion during this phase of history. By the time the Western Church chose December 25 as Christmas day it was already A.D. 336. Other religions also hold certain festivities around this time, such as the Jewish faith, who celebrate Hanukah. After World War II, Christmas became a more commercial holiday. A greater number of stores had Christmas decorations and music. Radio and television programmes featured Christmas-themed episodes. People sent Christmas cards to friends and family, and some went door to door carolling.
@@arvinroidoatienza7082gives off the idea that the only reason to be good is because of getting rewarded. Like people who use religion to explain good deeds rather than just being a good person

I absolutely LOVE seeing villains teaming up with a hero to help a good cause! Personally, if I were Danny Phantom, I would have such positive feelings towards them that I would consider all the ghosts who I would've battled against as my many worthy adversaries. If any of them were to vanish from existence, I would mourn their demise, as I would NEVER want any of their ghostly spirits to perish before they finally agree to being friends with me all year long, not just on Christmas. I anticipate that despite the many battles that Danny Phantom fought against his many foes, deep down inside, they have the potential of being "ghost buddies" with Danny. Skulker has the potential of being a fatherly figure to him for example. Surely if Dark Danny Phantom were to return to destroy both the human world and ghost world, all of Danny's foes (even Vlad Plasimus) would make a very powerful alliance with Danny to defeat his evil alternate future self.

With Batman Beyond, and Static Shock honestly, Danny phantom feels like they need to make a live action reboot of it, in the vain of superhero soap operas on. the CW, except they wouldn't suck. Not to mention all 3 of those shows already had some pretty solid, 3 dimensional , female characters, so it would be so easy to adapt these shows today
one of my favorite tropes in shows is when villains arent completely inhumane. like the whole "i hate you but also if you're having a bad day ill lay off" dynamic is so wholesome and its just heartwarming
If the show were to ever get a revival someday, I’m hoping maybe we get a few episodes say Danny would help some of his ghostly foes, except Undergrowth and Vortex considering how menacing and wicked they are, reform from their villainous ways say perhaps he, along with help from Sam, Tucker and Jazz, help a few of his ghostly foes such as Ember, Johnny 13, Kitty, that Shadow Ghost, and Desiree, and Skulker find a new purpose for them that would benefit them all and help em find some inner peace in their ghostly lives.
When you say “Shadow Ghost” are you referring to Shadow or Spectra? Because Shadow has no will of his own and only acts when Johnny tells him to, Spectra on the other hand is one of the most evil characters in the series seeing as she was perfectly willing to not only kill Jazz to feed of the students’ misery from her death but she was also perfectly content to let them “burn out” from their temporary ghost powers after she harvested their best traits when she tried to give herself a new body.

I remember that the creator was talking about continuing this series, there was even fan art of when they are in college, but I guess that never happened 😔
I still kind of wish that instead of Skulker helping Danny in the Ghost Prison, it was instead that Evil Ghost Tucker from the Genie episode. You remember, how Danny literally placed him in the Ghost Zone, but never returned. An evil counterpart to the Hero's best friend, just written out of the show. Would've been the perfect reintroduction as Danny's prison break buddy.
Kitty didn’t interact with Danny save for when she tried to use him to make Johnny jealous after she left him because he was looking at other women. 2:06 and 2:21 theres the Ghost Writer helping out. I guess they really taught him a lesson
I could get used to the villans working with danny
0:15 moment
no wonder randy like a character from this cartoon
I love this Christmas special lol !🥹😅😂
I know Vlad & Danny have that “love” hate relationship mainly hate but I feel like that “love” hate relationship works better with Skulker and Danny I feel like the comedy with those 2 is executed perfectly
I remember that the creator was talking about continuing this series, there was even fan art of when they are in college, but I guess that never happened 😔
Love the reupload. Thanks.
So do I

This show is how legends are made.
Pretty cool that sometimes Danny’s greatest enemies became his strongest allies
Impel Down, Nickelodeon edition
This was probably one of my top 3 favorite cartoons.
Y'know, it's kinda hard for me to look at Ember McLain, knowing what happened because of her character
They teamed up by sometimes?
Will you be my fwend
NEVER
Too bad crime can’t take a holiday…
SKULKER and DANNY Always Had Love and Hate Relationship
“The enemy of my enemy of my friend… for now.”
I love this man.
The one where they stop the missile is missing with Johnny, Skullker, and Young blood helping.
And to think that the animated goth girl from this episode caused a dude to shoot up a grocery store
the endcard is my desktop wallpaper so i thought my computer was being weird for a second lmao
Love ❤️ the Batman 60s reference lol 😂!
I love how Xmas is the safe day for most people even some evil people in shows are like hold on break day.
etheir are two kinds of villains morally fucked ones and ones who actually can be people so yep
Ember is so lengdary!
Danny is so specail
This was surprising wholesome.
One the greatest Nickelodeon shows
In the series finale they help Danny
Skulker and Ember would be Danny's buds had they meet under different circumstances. And if Ember didn't manipulate people.
It’s funny that the bad guys like Christmas you’d think they’d want to destroy it but nope it’s the opposite 😂
Anyone else notice that 85 percent of the time it's Skullker helping Danny.
0:32 If Dark Danny was there he would either help Danny or try and get revenge once more
I feel like you see it a lot with Johnny 13 and Kitty, Sometimes they get along with danny and other times they have a spat.
Kitty didn’t interact with Danny save for when she tried to use him to make Johnny jealous after she left him because he was looking at other women. Johnny on the other hand started to view their fights as a “game” and was perfectly willing to leave at one point afterwards, even complimenting Danny by claiming “Diggin that tough guy act Little Man”.
@@thomasraines1396 Yep, same with youngblood, he asked danny one time when he went into the gost zone if he wanted to watch him go to space to which danny replied saying another time. Meaning Danny plays with YB sometimes.
@@fadumomohamed2342 also that yeah.
I still can't believe Ron Perlman aka HellBoy voiced Mr. Lancer the teacher on this show like the dude has the same level as Mark Hamill🤯
we need season 4 of danny phantom and the last episode should show us danny after 10 years later
Choose your enemies wisely for they may be your only hope.
I really dig Ember's jacket
The Christmas Episode is my favorite
The real question is why did Walker permit Skullker and Technus to wear their battle suits in prison
