Every diesel car I've ever owned was tuned and I've done more than 150k km's on every single one when tuned. These were BMW's, Alfa's, VAG diesels and Renaults. No point in not tuning them when it's so easy to get extra performance for the cost of a few fuel tank loads, you get better fuel economy at no extra costs too becuase the car actually struggles less in daily driving. Maybe your engine will run for 500k km in total instead of 700k km as it would stock, big deal.

These little 1.6TDI engines are a stage 1 tuning dream! Speaking from experience, had a 2019 A3 & it properly ripped; sure you weren't the fastest thing on the road but you could haul some serious ass if you wanted to. Still miss my little gray rocket sometimes, once the value drops I'll be picking on up again for good ol' times sake

Only audi worth tuning is mid to late 2000 rs3. Spend 3k on old model Slam 5 to 6 k on tuning. Mainly mechanical but Faster than a standard nissan gtr on 1/4 mile.. The two audis i've been in anyway. Dad used to do it for a laugh. And I love saving 70k on a sleeper. Think of all the fun times getting it to that point. Late night winter man chat. Miss it.

i mean if the price for the satge one is fair maybe its worth it, but for the smaller cars like this you dont gain that much performance gain for your money, my dad spent 1000euros on a stage 1 for a 911 porsche 991.2 and went from 370 hp with around 480Nm torque to 476hp and arround 650Nm torque, and in that case it was money well spent for the performance gain
It's all in percentage, actually both Porsche and Audi gained 30% of the power. 30hp on a 100hp makes a difference, you could barely feel 30hp gain on Porsche.

On a 1.6 insaine fuel econemy even when you use it hard from the temrature stays always in the same spot from experiance making me think it could do with a tune but it pulls really nicely I would say 2-3k rpm is the best in low gears but sometimes good to rev 5speed manual

Hello, have the same A3 1.6TDI 81kw/110hp tuned for 2yrs fully arround 150hp and now I am thinking and would like to hear your opinion about putting the turbo charger from the same car but 2.0 135kw and make a "fine" tune so all the parts work correctly? Is it possible and does it put the engine at risk? Don't need crazy results just to have a little bit more punch when accelerating Regards!

You’ll be fine the focus comes with 1.5 120BHP 300NM
2.0 TDI EA288 is a disaster compared to 1.6 same generation
