I appreciate the honest balance of the good and the problematic areas of your garden. It must be rewarding to be so busy as a designer, but at the same time, I can imagine it must be frustrating to see the weeds take over some parts of your lovely garden. It still looks beautiful!

I was away most of the month of May and have only gotten back to my garden . I have been facing the same challenge of catching up. At least with all the rain the weeds have been easy to pull. I hope to see yours when you have caught up. Gardens are never finished.

As much as we love seeing your garden, we love your business being busy even more! I am always jealous of anyone with coneflower. They really seem to hate containers... so they come to my house for a slow death in a container.

Because of injuries this spring, I wasn’t able to work in my flowerbeds either and the weeds are as prolific as yours! Because of temps in the 90’s with humidity 70-80% and thunderstorms this week I still won’t get much weeding done. 😝. Planting close together is definitely a plus in preventing weeds. A good reason to get more plants! 😊👍👏

Your garden is always so beautiful. It's amazing how fast weeds can take over. Some of your weeds are quite beautiful! I accidentally planted an evening primrose, it can take over an area easily. The round flower with the bee on it at 15:40, is that an allium? It's so beautiful and vibrant! Thank you for sharing your garden.

Oh Yuliya! Your garden tour brought me so much joy!
I think that Agastache is more like an annual: I’m in southern NJ zone 7, and I can never get them to last more than a year. I’ve been wanting to get a smaller version of Joe Pye weed, and after seeing yours, I’m convinced that my garden needs it. Your cone flowers are stunning and I admit, I’m a bit jealous! Mine never stand a chance with my deer population. They eat right through my deer spray…it’s like a condiment for them!
    Enjoy the weeding! ❤

Not bad for an uncared for garden!😊 I love the Cottage Garden look😻. Mine usually has more weeds galore and has looked so much worse after only a week or two of neglect 😅. Thank you for noting/using Botanical references❤. I'm in France so I have to look up the Common name (so often used) in order to find a plant.

What I've learned from this - because I don't know the native plants of your area, 99% time I can't tell your weeds from intentioned structural or filler plants ))) they all are just lush healthy looking plants blending in a colorful mix. Kinda inspires me to rethink "weeds" in my garden planning. In my dry climate and poor soil, I'll probably need to welcome some weeds and call them flowers )

Interesting -- I am retired and I am still behind on everything in the garden. At least this year my local nursery is keeping up their stock of annuals -- is there anyone who actually gets all of their planting done in May???? Anyway, very helpful to see the garden plants that can hold their own. I know you will enjoy putting things in order again.

I am also in love with the veronicastrum I planted! It just glows! Love this wild space, and I keep forgetting to get euphorbia seeds, gotta order those now. I find that deer or another critter munch my baby Joe pye weed and bee balm right before they flower 😢

Wondering if you've had aster yellows strike any of your echinacea?
I think I have it on a couple of my echonacea plants. Z5b Massachusetts. Waiting for a couple more blooms to open to see if I need to remove and trash the plants.
A self sowing plant I'm loving is rudbeckia hirta. Even grows along the edges of my gravel driveway. Self sows reliably.

A lot of work cut out for you, but your fixing that! 🥵😄 We finally had a day of good showers yesterday. Much needed! Nice having the plants watered with and good for our air/sky, as we were effected by the Canadian fires with foggy smoke haze. It put me down for a couple of days in bed. Thank God, I think it's finally gone away! 🙏 The plants made it through. Yay!! 🙌💚🌿🍀

Thank you for sharing your garden with us. It’s so nice to see normal! Weeds!!! Have you ever have to deal with poison ivy in your yard or a client’s yard? I am surrounded by folks that do not keep bad things from creeping into my yard. I have an area where I pulled and used a 75% vinegar concentrate solution to get rid of invasive weeds/plants etc. I plan to amend the soil and add at least 8 inches of fresh soil creating an elevation with a rock wall border. Have you ever had to plant something on the border of a fence to stop ivy from coming into a clients yard? If so, did it help?

Great to be back in your garden. It’s looking beautiful even if it was ignored. How often do you need to spray for deer? Does it last even if it rains or do you spray again right after a rain? We get a lot of summer showers and I wonder how long it sticks around.

I broke my humerus last Sept as I was starting to reseed and clean up the garden. I had to put everything on hold, but my shoulder isn’t healing, still, 10 months later because I have Lyme disease which is restricting the blood flow to my shoulder. I now need another MRI and CT scan in August, and I have been one-handed gardening with no help. I have to neglect the back portion of my yard and try to fill this slope in with extra plants so my dog doesn’t get back there behind a small fence.
It’s neglected now, but yours looks so pretty!!
