The Astilbe under the Lilac is pure perfection!! Just what was needed in that area. I agree with you Laura, the west side is looking incredible! Well done!
I was surprised to see you plant such a warm tone of pink in the west garden but I love them there. The tropical pink echinacea against the dark purple leaves of the penstemon is fabulous!! And my word the astilbe really shine under that lilac, a very well needed pop of colour and structure!
Been watching for years, Samantha and my granddaughter, Willow, were born days apart, and we watch " our friend Laura " every day. and garden together in my garden.. the astilbe under the lilac is my favorite planting ever...just looking at it makes me happy..thank you for all you do!
Good morning, Laura ☕️. I love 💗 the cone flowers! Those are on my “must have” list for next year. The west side is looking amazing 🤩 actually, everything is. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
The astilbe looks so pretty in that space, I have a couple that aren't as tall as those! I'm working on a shadier space that those would be awesome in! There are so many beautiful plants to choose from! 👏👍🌱
The Astilbe in the Lilac and Lamb's Ear space....... 😍😍😍 perfection!!! It gives a freedom to the beautifully restful structure to the area. That fed my soul!!! The color of the Astilbe and Echinacea is stuuuuuuunning!!! I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but what a pleasant surprise!! Thanks for being my therapy today!!! LOL
Love everything. Those Astilbes under the Lilac are gorgeous. Everything is filling in wonderful. Wow what a show. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us. Appreciated.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
We lost so many honey bees this past winter in our area. It's so nice to hear that they are loving your plants. We are really hoping they will recoup over the season we miss the sound of blooms alive with buzzing!
I love the astilbes under the lilac tree🥰, and I like the break in the boxwood hedge there too. Very pretty💖 I can’t believe how much and how quickly your arbs have grown - WOW!
Glad you are planting so many perennials!! I do love color but I also love low maintenance!!! The astilbe and echinacea are gorgeous!! And perennial salvia is great!! ☀️💕🫶🏻
I'm really enjoying this video. It has just the right amount of talking vs music. Perfect editing. And who wouldn't enjoy looking at all of those beautiful plants?
You are absolutely my favorite gardener! Im new to gardening being i just moved into my first home and you truly inspire me with your gardening style. I love how you walk around and point out all of the different plants. I have learned about so many beautiful varieties thanks to your videos! Thank you and much love 💗
Thank you for all of these videos. Thank you for explaining your reasons and ideas about plants, positioning, care and needs for gardens you are creating.
Laura, During your plant intro, I noticed not only how well the flowers on the Echinacea blend w/ the ones on the Astilbe, but also w/ the flowers on the Begonias planted around the tree behind you. Beautiful!!!
Good morning! I love watching you plant all the beautiful perrenials. I was hoping perhaps you could do a video on creating a flower bed on a budget. Perhaps show how to divide existing perrenials to use in a new space? Thanks!
Good morning! That Astilbe is such a beautiful pop of color in the west garden. I put 2 Salvia plants in pots this spring and I’ve seen hummingbirds on them. So exciting!!
It would never be possible for me to buy plants that big or in that quantity to set out in my yard. I do, however, appreciate how when you set things out, it looks like it has been grown on for years into mature plants all filled in. Those colors are beautiful!
A great job!!!!!! You make it look like you have been in school all your life just to plant flowers so talented!!!! These are the flowers 🌺🌹🌺 that could be in any garden and be a show off I love lilic
I can't believe how beautiful your grass path is looking out there! And the Astilbe is absolutely wonderful under the lilac tree- thanks for the inspiration and awesome ideas to help beautify our spaces!
Such a lovely array of pink. You have covered the whole spectrum as far as pink goes. I love the astilbe, and the echinacea almost looks like a zinnia. So pretty!
So beautiful..I love SALVIA and really interested in planting Polonaters .I love butterfly bees, hummingbird and anything else that flies.Thank you ,enjoyed !
Thank you so much !!!🌞. Love your passion and knowledge of plants , I just happen to come across your channel and you totally motivated me to get out and make some fabulous patio planters and planted them this weekend !!!! Huge stress reliever and creates such a good welcoming energy to our home 🌞. Thank you 🙏
I like the fact that you label what’s being planted on the front of this video. Also love the rain as well to fill my garden with tears from Heaven. Nothing can make my garden do better than God’s rain. Love today’s selections, I planted echinacea too and hope it does well. 😊❤️🙏🏽
I absolutely LOVE your videos! I think I could watch you all day. And since I'm fairly new to gardening and your channel, I have lots of catching up to do! Your gardens are just spectacular! Since we moved to the country just over a year ago and now have acreage, I've planted a garden for the first time. I'm a bit impatient to get a harvest and the extreme heat we've had in Texas has slowed things down. Ugh. Thank you for talking about deer resistant perennials. We have small flower garden areas in various spots and I'm trying to slowly clean them up (I have a few years on you and move slower ) and plant a few new things and deer are an issue for us. You are definitely an inspiration!!! Thank you!
I recently bought 10 of the pink profusion at my local lowes…they had them discounted to $2/plant because they hadn’t watered them and they were struggling. But I trimmed them, planted them, and they’re already putting on new growth and taking off! Check those discount racks GA fam, they’ve been loaded this year!! I’ve gotten SO many great deals this year, my garden is filling up super quick! Thanks Laura for another great video, and I hope all the GA fam has a beautiful and blessed day!
I just saw them at Home Depot today and was tempted to get one but I already have two monster salvias. So I decided to cut one in half and put it near my garden for pollination purposes.
I was at my local Lowes over the weekend and I too got some discounted plants because they just didn't water them. Gave them a good trim and water and they're coming around. Kind of hard to see so many plants under stress due to lack of water but catch it at the right time and there are bargains to be had.
I've done that for several years. I heard the new Lowe's CEO is going to just have them thrown out next year. No discounts. I hope that info is incorrect! 😪
They have done quite a few video’s focusing on fertilizing ~ types they use, when/how they apply the various kinds, etc. If you search UA-cam for Garden Answer Fertilizer you’ll find what you’re looking for 😊
No sprinter hedge extension necessary. Looking absolutely gorgeous just as mentioned. Extremely pretty contrasts. Love, love, love your magnificent gardens x 💜💜💜🙏😇🇦🇺
I just love the way you group your plants together in a spray. I’m redoing part of our yard and plan to do the same. It all feels so cohesive while remaining interesting. I love it!
Laura lets the west garden sit for a couple of years...then poof...it's fully planted! I love how this space is developing and how you've reused plants from other spaces in a different way.
Simply beautiful. I love that you have a big wide open space that can easily accept large drifts of plants. I garden the Jim Putnum way…drifts of one. Wicked hot and dry here in the east. We see a tropical system forming in the gulf. We don’t hope for a hurricane but a tropical system may bring rain. So that would be welcome.
One day I will get gardens this full! ❤️ I can’t afford to do it all at once, or to start with such large plants, but in time they’ll get there. Do you have any “family heirloom “ plants? I have irises, peonies, forsythia, mock orange, etc that are older than I am, and that were started from splits off some of my grandmother’s and great grandmother’s flowers. Those are my favorite plants because they are ties to family. I tell my children about those people as we walk through the garden. It keeps their memory alive. ❤️ I LOVE your channel! You keep me going through garden failures and burn out, and get me out in the dirt to keep working on my garden dreams. Thank you so much for your hard work and inspiration. 🌸🌺
I LOVE heirloom plants, and try very hard to make them the emphasis in my gardens. I read the other day that iris are considered heirlooms after 30 years by a couple of the major iris growers.
@Julie royce, oh my stars, I have never heard of the "family heirloom" gardening. Hi. So fun to see your bright colors. I have had white astilbe for 4 to 5 years & have just started to divide them. So fun to get more free plants. Love your videos, thanks Laura.

OMG! I love that astilbe with that lamium! Beautiful compliment! I hope that you don't extend the boxwood, and get rid of the lamium, Laura!
