- Namaste, I rode the new TVS X electric scooter recently in India. It is TVS's latest electric scooter and costs almost Rs 2.5 Lakhs. With that price tag, the scooter must have something unique, let's find out.

In 2.5 lakhs, along with that tablet (which they call big screen) and speakers, TVS should provide recliner seats and a mini refrigerator so that owners can ride less and watches videos more. That way the range of the scooter will increase 100% because it will be standing idle

@@Abhi-now bhai middle class se hu. 1.6 lakhs budget hota toh iPhone ki jaga 12 saal purana scooter upgrade karta. Aur EV par koi paisa bachane k liye hi switch kar raha hai. So yes, 2.5 lakhs is a way too high for a EV scooter.

Two wheeler ka main purpose hai city ke andar chalana, companies should focus on bringing electric two wheeler with just good range and speed, baaki features koi use nahi karta like delivery guys they just want range and speed. Aur aaj se 5 saal pehle bhi jo two wheelers aate the unme bhi koi features nahi hote the bas chalu karo aur apni destination pe pahuncho(splendor, activa). These features don't matter to them. So companies must make a simple product also for such people who don't want to use any features and just want to ride to get to their work, please make a featureless (with basic features only) for them so they can buy a cheaper version.

First, Scooty is good for the city/town area to beat the traffic. Secondly, Most Indians also buy scooty, considering its leg space for keeping laggage and other shopping bags. Lastly, why go for so much high price when there is already so much competition in the market with an optimal price range.
Nevertheless, the way TVS has planned for this one. Most people will surely consider a bike rather than this scooty.

Rather than keeping a 2.5 lakh scooter. I would prefer a scooter with removable battery as I live in an apartment society. So still Vida V1 pro is a better choice.

Who is gonna buy 2.5 lakh scooter ? For R&D purpose these are good but considering Indian market , these are not at all for a middle class guy why wouldnt I invest in a bike worth 2.5 lakh which would at least remain with me for a min. 5-6 yrs and futher I can carry it for legacy and still usable.

It's very contradicting to buy ev vehicle having such a high price. Main reason to buy ev is to save on petrol expenses. If prices are so high then breakeven period will be even longer making no sense to choose these scooters over traditional ICE vehicles.

Price should be under 1.5Lacs
It's not justified the price. Price is 2.49k ex-showroom and it's touch screen legs, not looking good, and it should be far better than Ather's scooter, but it did not match what Ather's deliver. In terms of technology, TVS should work hard because other electric scooters have far better features than TVS X scooter.
This product will not attract the market with this price. Under 1.6 lakh it is worth buying.
