Chuck is an amazing actor. We had the pleasure of having him visit our school recently. Apperantly our drama teacher befriended him while he was in this show
I can't tell you how happy I am that someone finally posted Chuck Wagner as Jekyll and Hyde! I was lucky enough to see him at the Fox theater the year before Hasselhoff took the role.
I saw Chuck perform this role where I live. He was incredible. In person this was amazing. The audience freaked. Fantastic. I'll never forget that show.
Chuck started my road to Jekkiehood and I have yet to finish. Have seen the show 56 times. His J/H in Confrontation is beyond words...all the absolutely spot on hand movements and growling. His Hyde was wicked and his Jekyll a tortured soul. Outstanding theatre!
I really like his performance and they way he dose Hyde, WOAH!! WAAAAAYY better than Sebastian beach or whatever his last name is. In all, his performance was outstanding! 😄
I saw him do this play in Chicago 12 years ago. Three times. He did variations each time for flavor. Also can alter a scene depending on what is and what isn't working on the set (they were having issues with some of the effects for at least two of the shows). He can also tailor a scene to add something for particular members of the audiance. Usually without anyone noticing...save those that know what he means. He's also funny in person but would call home to help his kid with homework.
This version is very good in the vocal seperation of the characters but not enough emotion for my taste. It needed more passion and push behind it, it feel flat in the emotional desperation jekyll is feeling at that moment
He's a great singer, but this is less a song and more of an argument that happens to be set to music and it just doesn't come across that way. Inflections and emphasis of certain words and phrases just aren't there and, as far as I'm concerned, really detracts from the performance.
If they think this is a gay musical, I wouldn't even bother trying to explain - they're probably having enough difficulty putting their shoes on the correct feet.
@RichieEastside I know you're trying to be helpful, but this is very rude to all gay men. It's crude and speaks to your lower nature. Please be the wonderful person I'm sure you are
Constantine was better then them all cause he actually showed Jekyll's decent into madness better and how evil Hyde was his singing was better then the rest of them and the show was darker then the other Broadway versions . so to you bill fuck you
Maroulis had his shot on stage. Warlow never did. Let's give him a shot on stage. And for your comment on it being the darkest, look at the Nellie scene. Funniest friggin thing ever. They need more characters, that's what Jekyll & Hyde needs!

I guess you could say that Jekyll is in real AGONY!
Haunts and Amusements! Real Clever
This is the comedy police! That joke was too funny, even after five years! You're under arrest!
In all honesty, I would say this is the best interpretation of Confrontation. Many would disagree, but yeah :)
yeah, i feel this performance
See Wagner do Jekyll in SF in 1998 turned me into a musical theater fan. Man was ammmmaaaaazzzzing.
I really like his performance and they way he dose Hyde, WOAH!! WAAAAAYY better than Sebastian beach or whatever his last name is. In all, his performance was outstanding! 😄
In high school, I used to imitate Chuck's Hyde when he said "I'll see you there, Jekyll." I'm a soprano.
To act out an argument with oneself and pull it off is always a marvel to behold.
I've seen Chuck in person, but it was during his tenure as ringmaster of Ringling Bros.'s Red Tour.
THE VOCALS AND THAT SMOKE EFFECT AT THE BEGINNING IS LITERALLY MY FUCKING COCAINE IM ADDICTED TO THIS.
Wagner rules. Also he's huge and Hyde looks like he could CRUSH his enemies.

BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow perfect transform
@PibDib hes fighting the moster within him. its destroying him from the inside... i think its a nice touch
I'm more a fan of Anthony Warlow myself, but Cucciolli does a nice job too
yay
rob cucciolli is the best. no one can play the role like him
I agree strongly with 2.
I'll be damned, who knew Automan could sing, lol, great job though.
Do you have any more of this production? My vocal coach was Lucy during this tour and I would love to see some clips of her!
Oh no! I'm not hearing the audio to this video!
@eyedancer7a I totally agree with you. Chuck is the best!
This is a hard song to perform- you have to give them some respect for that.
This version is very good in the vocal seperation of the characters but not enough emotion for my taste. It needed more passion and push behind it, it feel flat in the emotional desperation jekyll is feeling at that moment
+SoHills VetTech emotiojn that warlow never had . i know this is wagner but i have to saw warlow SUCKS!
+shadow strike you are everywhere aren't you? Heck i even found you on the Facebook article for the 25th anniversary!
Dude why does he sound so much better on Hyde’s parts than Jekyll’s?
Wow. This is the original Rapunzel's Prince.
well, it dose say Jack Wagner on the Official website.
@RichieEastside LOL mucho like I was Simon Stride ... Really fun
and....why does hyde always end up playing air guitar?
he messed up the bit where he said
'i will find the answer'
but other then that it was great :P
......how the fuck is this gay? and why is there ALWAYS a pointless comment war?
his voice is amazing.
it looks like his hair gets shorter and longer. very good!
how long ago was this recorded?
Gay?? this is the most badass musical I've ever seen!
@eyedancer7a why is it that gay would ever equal not guy friendly? Gay men are guys.
Automan plays Jekyll And Hyde.
wow he sounds alot like bob cuccioli
Warlow
can someone help me explain to the people at my school that this musical isn't gay?
@PibDib
i think its supposed to show like his madness or sumthin or like the struggle...
i prefer the Raphael´s version...
Apparently, a guy who depends on SOUTH PARK for logic and morality. :/ LOL
pretty cool but I prefer Rob Evan

Ive heard much much better
@RichieEastside I know you're trying to be helpful, but this is very rude to all gay men. It's crude and speaks to your lower nature. Please be the wonderful person I'm sure you are
Cho seungwoo is much better than him....ㅡㅡ
his acting sucks, but he has a great voice.
constantine was better
but i do love wagner too these guys are the only great choices for this role warlow is awful
shadow strike
No, support you answer. If you don't, it's just as good saying you're wrong.
Constantine was better then them all cause he actually showed Jekyll's decent into madness better and how evil Hyde was his singing was better then the rest of them and the show was darker then the other Broadway versions . so to you bill fuck you
"how evil Hyde was his singing was better then the rest of them"
Let's stop debating Constantine and quickly debate your grammer.
fuck off
and no i wont stop til Widlhorn removes Warlow from the 25th and bring back Maroulis also Warlow should fucking die if he has this illness
Maroulis had his shot on stage. Warlow never did. Let's give him a shot on stage. And for your comment on it being the darkest, look at the Nellie scene. Funniest friggin thing ever. They need more characters, that's what Jekyll & Hyde needs!
