Isn't it a wonderful idea? Those BI pots are amazing. You really do get what you pay for, and it made me even more angry at other vendors who use wobbly cheap trash. I don't know how many of the prototypes are out there but I picked up one from Tom in a charity auction thing he ran shortly after he showed it off on Why We Bleep. Maybe a year ago? It had extra holes in the panel for those little locating tabs on the pots (that you snipped off; I noticed your panel didn't have those holes)
I really wish.... makers would include lines along the knobs... there is a line on the knob and the panel.. So why not have a line on the panel beside the knobs. if you're using the knobs u know where you have been and can get back to.. annoying makers dont do this. Detail is eveything

These aren't Bi pots though! They're the same kind used in Synthtech modules, can't remember the brand...

Choices... I happen to much prefer it like this, looks much better and I can use my ears and spatial orientation to find the sweet spots :)
I’m a big fan of mtm but this was a disappointment
funny, it's one of my favorites. I use it A LOT, feels so much better than the tiny pots usually used in Eurorack...
What makes a potentiometer high quality? And how do you tell whether a potentiometer will be high quality or low quality when you're ordering them?
Durability, torque, material, construction, linearity, etc. Look at the data sheets and compare the specs!
Usually the more expensive ones are better quality
