In the 1970s, young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) is searching for all the right things in all the wrong places: until he meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher. Kelsey is reportedly coming back to his faith that he had when he was younger. I pray that it is a genuine walk with the Lord.
He is. He's talked about the impact this film has had on him and the growing importance of faith in his life these days. Those tears were real.
They showed the movie trailer tonight at our Wednesday mid-week Bible study at my church. Our pastor has already gotten to see the film and he is truly praising it and promoting it big-time!

Lonnie Frisbee is a man who preached a false gospel that is built upon the sand. The scripture likens him to the man in Matthew 7 who prophesied in the name of God and cast out Devils, but Lonnie Frisbee is a WORKER OF INIQUITY!
Lonnie Frisbee was a sinner who was not saved by grace, and this is evident by the fruits of His life. Lonnie Frisbee was never set free from sin (John 8:36)! His life and death was sealed as a testament from God that he was a worker of iniquity! Lonnie died in His sins, being marked by dying from the fearful disease of AIDS from his homosexual sinful life!
Chuck smith at Lonnie's funeral fearfully preaches as if this man went to heaven. This is contrary to what the Apostle Paul teaches in 1 Cor 6:9, that fornicators will not enter into the kingdom of heaven! Chuck and Lonnie were of the same yoke, and all their fruit hence forth is that which is built on sand... take heed my reader and learn the fear of the Lord!!
Matthew 7:26-27
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: [27] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Saw the movie Saturday afternoon, looked fairly accurate based on things I have read of that time frame. Praying that what is happening at some Christian colleges sparks an awakening and return to Biblical chrsitianity.
So excited for to see this movie! Praying for it's impact on culture. Looks amazing! What a cast!

I am excited and ready for this movie. I attend a Calvary Chapel in Southern California where our own former senior pastor was taught by Papa Chuck Smith. I have read the book already too back in 2018.

We had the privilege of seeing the pre-release version of Jesus Revolution and it is a wonderful portrayal of an amazing story. And while the trailer for movie is great, the film is excellent! Go ahead make plans to be there opening week and bring all your friends... you will love it and they will too!!

What a time it was where a person had NO DOUBT that the Spirit of God was moving & transforming lives!! Chuck Smith's teaching & the music (Love Song) were inspirational to my life when I accepted Jesus in 1970 at the ripe old age of 10. Even I, as a child, KNEW God was in the house!!!

I just saw this last night it was really good! His church is the spitting image of ours..how awesome it would be to see it expand like that! And I find it very interesting that this is coming out at the same time as a current revival!

People kind! Accept the Orthodox Faith and become Orthodox Christians, for only in the Orthodox Church is there true salvation. Go every Sunday to the Orthodox Church, and if you want even go every day to the Orthodox Church and in Her be sure to confess your sins before an Orthodox priest every time and after that partake of the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Lord Jesus Christ will forgive and deliver us all from our sins and from our passions.
And by the mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ, He will save us all only through the Orthodox Church if we all confess each time our sins before an Orthodox priest and, after confession, partake of the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and then we will all enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen!

@@seandavis6262 yes, but I assume that the movie’s target audience is not God. Christian hypocrisy is a primary reason people give for why they’re not interested in religion. If the movie’s purpose is to spread God’s message to non-Christians, than the people who cast Kelsey Grammar should have realized that this is an example of that hypocrisy.
