Yes of course. 250 is bigger than you think, I take it you haven't ridden before if you don't even realize that? This'll do 140kph on the highway which as far as I know is definitely faster than many highways speed limit. This'll be good for you to get used to a bike and help you learn a lot of things. You don't need a bigger bike, because it only weighs more, is less forgiving, and will go passed the speed limit a lot easier. Which is something you probably don't need at this point.

why would you waste so much money on a 250? Its a starter bike to help you get to a real bike.

Lol @ people bashing a 250. People, calm down, it's not that serious. Not everyone is a speed demon and wants to go 60 in 1st. Some people value their lives and safety over a bigger bike. I'd much rather get something and be comfortable with it than try and get something just so people on the internet won't e-laugh at me because it's a smaller cc bike. It gets you from A to B to C...that's all that really matters.
And why would a noob go for the gusto on their first bike? Stupid.
