Everyone is different, Lauren. I decided at 26 that I didn’t want children and was sterilised. This is a decision I never regretted. I taught 11-18 students for 37 years - loved my job totally and with absolute commitment. I knew myself well enough to know that I could never be a mother and a teacher and achieve what I wanted; absolute respect to those who do both. It’s about knowing yourself. 💜
It's so refreshing watching someone REAL. A house that looks lived in, and someone showing us their vulnerabilities and realistic attempts at daily life. Not perfectly polished surroundings, filled with shiny new Smeg appliances (eyeroll). Also, you are dead funny 😂 Thank you for this video and all the best on your journey xx
No hate but she lives in one room from what I can see. I just found this channel. She is lovely and very real but for some reason she makes me feel sad for her. I hope she is good ❤
@@irishcoffeetruecrimestudio apartments are pretty common even here in the states. If I were to feel sad for her it wouldn't be because she has a roof over her head. Lots of people have less... in some east Asian countries they are so overpopulated they have to rent cages or coffin types of boxes that are stacked ontop each other for a place to sleep. It also depends on where you live. Some places are more expensive than others. In new York they pay thousands of dollars to essentially live in large closets and many apartments there dont have laundry rooms let alone hookups in the apartments. She lives in London which is like the new York of Britain so I imagine the cost of living is also expensive there.
@skyegroome223 I know, I can only imagine the cost of living in London. It's a struggle, especially in this economy. I just hope she is okay. We have bedsits here as well and I lived in one when I was young. It's hard to cook, sleep and live in one room. Working and my friends and being young at the time kept me sane. X

Yesterday my fiancé and me broke up, because I don't want to have children (because of mental health problems) but he does. It was absolutely heartbreaking. So now I'm kind of following in your footsteps; I am 34, living alone and really need to sort my life out. So right now your VLOG is my anchor, my kick-in-the-butt and my safe haven. Thank you so much for being you, and showing us that, even though it's hard, being and living according to your true self is the only option

Oh I agree with the kids thing, its so good to actually really think about this rather than just conform as you feel we should as women! I decided at 36 not to have children and left a 10 year relationship with a whole new perspective. Am now 47, have financial security, single, childless, (well I have a cat who is my baby), loads of mates, holidays, fun, and I love my peaceful happy little life! Not one regret!

It’s refreshing to hear someone talk about not necessarily wanting kids. I’ve never wanted them, I’m now peri-menopausal so the ship is sailing and I have no regrets 😂 . No pressure has been put on me either to have them. I have a lot of friends who say if they had their time over, they wouldn’t do it again 😂😂 Thank you for keeping it real ❤
I never wanted kids either. Never regretted it even though I'm in my 70s now.

My favourite time of the week! The Royal Albert Hall is an amazing venue. The last time I went I saw Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck, it was fantastic. So glad you enjoyed it.

I'm SO proud of you for taking yourself out despite battling anxiety and panic to get yourself there. Every time you push through, you become just that much stronger. At least for me, as someone with autism, I'll always refer back to a time when I was afraid to do XYZ but I did it and survived with little embarrassment. Or, if I did make a fool of myself, I survived that too lol, FUCK IT. I know the saying "life is too short" is super cliche, but it's become my mantra. I've unexpectedly lost so many dear friends at young ages. Their memories inspire me to live my life to my fullest potential. I don't want to take anything for granted. Is that too macabre?

Not macabre at all.. It's the truth.. As you get older, you begin to see just how fortunate we are to just spend simple moments with people we love, or do things that make us happy. Llauren, I totally agree with you.
One of the many reasons that I don't have children is the fact that you are only as happy as your unhappiest child.
It's a serious important, commitment, props to all the good moms and dads!!
Oh the roller coaster is real.. Parenting is put out there as this phenomenal thing.. And it can be.. In my case it was.. But even now, if my child (as a now adult) is unhappy, my whole demeanor changes.. I can't relax.. It's 100% a tough journey and it definitely doesn't stop after they hit 18..I'm proud of you for making that decision.. Too many are flippant about it, and don't stop to consider how it can affect a child, when a parent is unprepared or unable to put themselves aside and put kiddies first. So thank you for being so considerate about it.. Life can be every bit as enriched without children, no doubt.. ❤️

As a mother I love when people express their true feelings on not wanting kids I have a friend who does not want any at all we all talked about it and not once did I say she will regret it or tell her to change her mind. People are allowed to be different and choose their own way of living ✨💕

I agree with you on the seat issue Lauren. I don’t go many places because of it. In fact I’ve gone to parties where the chair situation was sketchy so I stood while I was there and made an excuse to leave early since I was obviously uncomfortable standing while everyone else was sitting.

When you kind of disappeared for awhile a few years back I got really concerned I kept checking weekly at minimum for a new video. So it makes me so happy to see you regularly vlogging and your channel thriving. I actually fell asleep last nigh at the beginning of your video, and I never just fall asleep! But it wasn't because you were boring, but because of a few really bad nights last week when I only fell asleep at 4 am, and woke again before 8. When I woke up this morning my first coherent thought was that I could watch you video while being wide awake and having my morning coffee. You are a wonderful human being, and definitely a roll model, helping me to tune out the abuse from my inner critic.

I agree. Diet culture can change a person mentally. How about we do health culture? Walk for health and not to be skinny. Workout for heath, eat less for health, cut out sugar for our pancreas to give it a break. Choose to eat less sweets and carbs now before we are forced to cut them out of we get diabetes. I got GD during my pregnancy and it was a shock and wake up all to change my eating habits now so I don’t get it later in life. I need to get healthy so my organs don’t have to taken care of a 300lbs+ body.
I couldn’t agree more!! We all have to take personal responsibility for our health. “Health at every size” is sadly a short lived mantra. We may be able to get away with it in our thirties, but when peri menopause slaps us around the face that’s when things start to fail us!!

As always I loving the vlog! I've seen many others but not one has a patch on you! You are so honest and never cease to make me smile thankyou so much for that, I' suffer with depression and have many dark days but watching your vlogs i feel like your a friend who gives me positive vibes ❤ and that tiffany lamp is absolutely amazing I love anything like that! I can also relate to buying stuff on vinted and car boot sales
