According to Islamic doctrine, NOI members are not Muslims because of several things. For example, believing that there is a Messenger after Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) eliminates you from the fold of Islam. Believing that God came down to Earth(in the form of W.D Fard or any one else) only takes you out of the fold of Islam. Warith Deen Muhammad(may Allah have mercy on him) was a true follower of Islam. Read their original books from the 50s and 60s and there are numerous instances of Farad Muhammad being referred to as Allah, as the All-Knowing God, etc. etc. There are also the testimonies of thousands of former NOI members (the original ones from the 50s) who will tell you that they were taught that Master Farad Muhammad was Allah. This might be an embarassing doctrine now, but history cannot be changed.

Matter of fact Paul wrote " I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing" (2nd Timothy 4: 7,8). Wow! What or who convinced him not to waver? I believe it stemmed from both his encounter with Christ (Acts 9) and also his confidence in the Holy Scriptures (2nd Timothy 3:15, 16). An encounter with the Living Christ/confidence in the Scriptures that confirm who He Jesus was and is, the Son of God, should leave no doubt in one's heart and mind. Hence the gospel accounts "we have found HIM, in whom Moses in the law and the prophets did write...Jesus" (John 1:45).

After Elijah Muhammad died and the NOI ended, Farrakhan was a traditional Muslim (sunni) for a few years but I think he wanted to be more a leader rather than a follower so he started up the NOI again

That is not a problem for me as a Sunni. We accept and respect Imams Ali, Hasan, Hussain, Jafar as-Sadiq, and so on (just not in the way that Shias understand these same people and their roles).

Hello, I just wanted to kindly reply to your comment. The truth is that Louis Farrakhan is not preaching orthodox Islam. According to Islamic doctrine, NOI members are not Muslims because of several things. For example, believing that there is a Messenger after Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) eliminates you from the fold of Islam. Believing that God came down to Earth(in the form of W.D Fard or any one else) only takes you out of the fold of Islam. Warith Deen Muhammad(may Allah have mercy on him) was a true follower of Islam. As he said, and I've seen the picture on google, you will see Master Farad Muhammad looking into the Quran. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad is "sitting". The Honorable Imam W.D. Mohammed is "standing"! The Imam has his "right" hand on his dad. And is hold the "Quran" in his left hand!
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad did not charge the Honorable Louis Farrakhan or The Honorable Malcolm X to perform critical analysis on the Quran.

Read their original books from the 50s and 60s and there are numerous instances of Farad Muhammad being referred to as Allah, as the All-Knowing God, etc. etc. There are also the testimonies of thousands of former NOI members (the original ones from the 50s) who will tell you that they were taught that Master Farad Muhammad was Allah. This might be an embarassing doctrine now, but history cannot be changed.

Why would anything Fard did have to be corrected if he was omnipotent God. We learn that God, is God, is God, infallible omnipresent, omniscient the alpha and the omega above reproach. After Elijah Muhammad died and the NOI ended, Farrakhan was a traditional Muslim (sunni) for a few years but I think he wanted to be more a leader rather than a follower so he started up the NOI again

Did Elijah or Master Fard Muhammad ever say that that was the Quran? If your answer is yes. Please show forth proof. If you do not have proof then you would have to accept the fact that he's holding a book and we don't know the nature of what is in that book.

@AliYourBrother And yes, I as a Sunni Muslim do accept that there is a hadith with a sahih chain of transmission that reports "Qur'an and Ahle Bait" (instead of "Qur'an and Sunna"). That is not a problem for me as a Sunni. We accept and respect Imams Ali, Hasan, Hussain, Jafar as-Sadiq, and so on (just not in the way that Shias understand these same people and their roles).
