They were dominant. The game was won, and they conceded 2 late tries. That doesn’t take away from the dominant performance, that’s just complacency because it was over anyway.
If Sharks keep playing like that they will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. Great finish in the last couple of minutes by Glasgow to get 2 points
Good game. Glasgow need their kicking to be much better to win that sort of contest though. Way too many kicks just gave the ball straight to the Sharks for nothing. Sharks deserved to win, though not getting a bonus point while GW got two was a real miss.
Hello Today the Glasgow Warriors V's Hollywoodbet Sharks was good , Glasgow still have a bit more to improve and the more Glasgow plays against good top teams they will be unstoppable , keep up the good work on the URC and the Premiership too
Good game from two good teams. But, we'd all like to see this team performing better when the big names are not available. It will take a number of top performances to make us forget about the Benetton game.
Regarding the stadium, our teams need to take the games to the clubs. Club grounds are not as big, and are closer to communities. 15 000 people in a 20 000-seater looks better than 15 000 people in a 60 000-seater. Just play in smaller grounds. The Stormers take some of their games to Stellenbosch and that looks brilliant at times. The others should think about doing the same.
I would love to hear your opinion on the URC. You look at the league, and it's so close. You take Leinster out at the top and zebra at the bottom, and it is an unbelievably close league. It use to be a league that people laughed at, I really believe it's going in a really positive tragedy and could be the 2nd best league in the world behind the super 14.
Proof again that a team is as good as it's coach. Plumtree must retire in NZ or coach Super Rugby. The Sharks only won thanks to the Rassie coaching DNA injected in a confused team. Glasgow again played 100% above their potential thanks to a BRILLIANT coach.😢
I've seen Glagow play better. They looked disjointed on attack. Not as crisp/clinical. That's a credit to the Sharks' defense. Glasgow showed heart as always. I don't understand the comments about how the last 2 tries were assisted by the ref.
Do refs use different rules for the break down at club level ? I dont recall any “not rolling away” penalties which happen at every 4th break down at international level. Seems like the refs give just am extra second or 2 to allow the roll away where at international level you have 0.2seconds to roll or its a penalty
How you roll away has a lot to do with how much they expect from you. International is test rugby do they expect it to be faster and for you to be rolling away far more. Moreso i feel like a lit of refs at international level have just been allowing teems to milk a slight disturbance from an opposing player
The URC refs have also been penalizing dominant scrums and telling all the SA teams to "use it" 2 seconds after the tackle has occurred whereas they are allowing the NH teams a week to clear the ball from the ruck.
@brettfleiner4906 the ref allowed the sharks to get away with a late no arms tackle throwing a player into the air. They are not against South Africans
Just finished watching the Stromers game and I heard something there that was said in the Sharks game too. The ref kept referring to "too much weight" at scrums, which is something new. It sounds like the refs have been told that Saffas are doing something wrong at scrum time or like they've been told to watch for something but it seems a little weird to me. All I can think of is that they feel winning the hit is wrong? Since when do you tell a front row to essentially be more gentle? WTF?
I don't know what the difference are for reds/yellows/penalties for high tackles anymore. At rwc final, i think the two high tackles, Cane red, Siya yellow, were consistent with the previous 12 months if rugby I'd seen. Not that i agree with them, but at least it was consistent. Now, it seems a complete f***ing lottery. Is it me or is carding (or non carding) decisions around high tackles getting worse?
Sharks still looked a bit out of sorts with their Springboks, but much improved after last weeks performance. The Sharks can finish top 4 if they play like that every week
But again a good game stuff up by a ref and tmo, the red card wasn't even worth a penalty and for this stupid rules an game officials we don't really watch and support the game of rugby as in the pass. They killing the game
Clever title pic. Sharks still not firing at 100%, hopefully get it going next week against Munster? On the positive side, Fassi is still on fire! Rassie's got some great selections problems for end of year tour North, between him, Damien & Willie!?
The glasgow yellow was way more force than grobelaars red last night...exactly the same tackle qnd body position BUT its a northern hemisphere team so its only yellow....urc refs are a joke👍
Soft yellow card turned it. Despite their big names and a homer ref, Sharks still couldn't dominate Glasgow. Jonny Matthews try was a corker - it was Rory Darge with Glasgow's 3rd for those who weren't paying attention.
Two almost identical head contact tackles in the Bulls game and the Sharks game. Obviously a red card for the Bulls player, while only a yellow for the Glasgow player. And a couple of ref assisted tries for Glasgow at the end to help them get a couple of points. More URC match fixing. A lineout was even halted, and the ref waited out the clock for the yellow card to come back on ... how courteous.
@@Zveebo Scots not knowing what they're seeing is more hilarious. So are blind fanboys who celebrate the ref assisting their poor team. BTW, the Saffa's are the best players in your teams, domestic and your national team ... and both your domestic teams are only successful now that you have Saffa coaches. Remove the Saffa's from your sides and Scottish rugby is on the same level as Welsh rugby.
A Sharks team with a different coach would dominate the URC. Plumtree is not the coach to take us forward. He can only seem to (only just) win when the Springboks are in the squad.... not impressed
Proper match of rugby that. Kudos for Glasgow for fighting till the bitter end. As for the Sharks man what more do you need to be a dominant force😢
They were dominant. The game was won, and they conceded 2 late tries. That doesn’t take away from the dominant performance, that’s just complacency because it was over anyway.

Pepsi Buthelezi put in a good shift.
Horse fly man 😂
So impressed with Glasgow. Great team, they did win the URC convincingly and they reminded us.
Sharks still disappointing though.
Was at the game today, weather been dodgy In durban all day! Been forecasted rain think that may have played a big part in the crowd not being so big
I wondered about this because these guys usually pull in a big crowd.

Tim! They used to fill that stadium during super 12!!!
URC, since last season, has been highly competitive. It's good to watch.

Agreed, Plumtree is beyond useless... he is detrimental to the Sharks.
Just imagine if the Sharks had a decent coach.
You’re obviously not a Fan of Plumtree
When he mentioned his past leaders Johann Muller and John Smit it hit me how long ago his Currie Cup success in 2008 actually was. :/

How many Boks? maybe some will stop whinging about Leinster being an ersatz Ireland team now and get on the Sharks case. Just sayin‘!😛
I see on insta a lot of north fans complaining about the ref...thats great...but they cry when sa fans do it...grow up

Not with the useless Kiwi as their coach.
You'd think the Bok/Sharks players as average, yet when they play for Boks they perform. They just seem so sloppy for the Sharks.
The bok players performed well. It was the non-boks who sucked so much.
