Only performance I have heard so far that matches what Kissin did in Carnegie Hall. Really interesting interpretation too.

Goes to show Vedernikov's tone on a Bluthner is all his own and not just a function of the instrument!

the same Petrov I had masterclass with, Mocow 94? Amazing... if I'd heard this before then, I'd have paid more attention to what he said :/ :D -- Brilliant!

Not bad, in fact, very interesting interpretation, but the best version was Kissin's, which was removed from UA-cam a little time ago.

Kissin is not good at all... too technical... no Russian soul. This version is quite nice but I prefer my own version.

I actually really like this interpretation. Kissin's is incredibly rapid and hardcore straight out of the blocks, Frederic Chiu has a much slower accelerando and more clipped accents. Petrov is somewhere in the middle and with moments of great power. Still think tke Kissin version is a modern classic, but this has more storytelling.
