Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...... This was my first airgun at the age of 11. I struggled to cock the rifle until I had a lot of practice. I harvested my first rabbit with this rifle, and it was a reasonably accurate, highly reliable unit that is still as good as new almost 50 years later. Not particularly tuneable for power, but is so for quiet operation and general smoothness. A budget springer that never really compared to the FWB / Weihrauch rivals, but it was much cheaper at the time of sale. Like your first car, this holds a special place in the gun cabinet for me. Great video, many thanks.
Beauty, is actually within the harmonious of nature, natura naturans, natural law. We humans, seek to point it out so to say, which is also a feeling. However I know what you mean about the old springers. I have a soft spot for them to ❤
Enjoyed that, thank you. It sounds good, no twang. I ve been changing back and forth with gas rams and springs, and I prefer the GR s and the way they seem to have a quicker lock down. Dont know if thats so, just feels like it to me.But a well set up springer with no twang is good too, and costs about a quater of the price to replace if the power plant goes.. All the bset. keith
Hi, I had one of these in the 70's , an interchangeable barrel model . Worst air rifle i have ever owned ,low power, unable to hit a damn thing and a trigger that released just when ever it felt like it. I have never had a webley since.
Hi Stu my brother had a webly hawk, MK1 I think, you could change the barrel.177 or .22, it was great back in the day, then low and behold a fella turned up at the range with one about 2 weeks ago, told us how good it was and then couldn't hit the paper at 20 yards lol, maybe he had the same problem where the 2 bits that the barrel fitted into had splayed. Love your videos mate, you keep it real. 👍👍👍
@@julianweeks326 I didn't know you could change them over! Guess it would all be the same fitting. Yeah they take years to stretch apart but if you figure it out and fix the issue, then it becomes an "OK" springer. Good for messing in the garden. Cheers bud!
Love the old springers. Very good instructional video. Scott

Webley Stingray, the made in England one, is great.
I got mine in a fishing shop 22 years ago.
(.22)
Sorry Stu. Been missing these. Air rifles eh!? Had one of these back in the day, before you couldn’t 😔
You can still own an Air rifle without a licence so long as it is under 12Ft/lbs
