    I tried for two days tearing out my cloves (almost my hair!) and your clip is sooo helpful! It looks easy and my inability to figure it out befuddles me. 😵‍💫
    Thank you for clarity!

    I can't get the hang of it at all! Mine is just coming out like when you tie your shoe, nothing like the round knot in the video 😩 I'm getting too frustrated with it so I've put it away now!

    I was wondering, since the first cord is used throughout the pattern, should I make that cord longer than the middle and right?

    This goes a bit quick for me. Trying to follow along but constantly pausing and rewinding. I can do it left to right but somehow reversing it is a nightmare.

    Hi, I have really enjoyed your instruction but I was wondering why your double half hitch (the method I am following) goes behind then in front, when other instructions tie over in front then in front again? Does the method change the formation and look of the knots? I prefer your tutorials, but found that to be a matter of curiosity. I am currently exploring the half hitch, as in practicing, and will try to take note of the difference while I try them out, but hoped for a weigh in from you 💗🙏🕯️🤗😘 many, many thanks for such clear and concise instructive videos. Happy Wednesday to you. Xxxooo eta: I hope the question made sense and doesn't come across as rude. I tend to watch multiple instruction videos and also diagrams from books, and was truly just curious. Thank you, again.

      Hi! Both methods should give the same look. I like to teach the double half hitch knot this way because even in the other method, that first rope does come from behind. Sometimes it’s tricky to follow the way the ropes move, so when I was first learning, I often had trouble with this knot until I tried it the way shown in the video. So really, between the two methods, it’s just a personal preference on what you prefer and find works best for you! 😊💛

      @@GrayWonders you are a gem! Thank you for that. I have found the half hitch a bit hard to follow because it IS hard to tell what the thread and knot are doing, and the diagram I was following was the equivalent to eye-brain twister lololol thank again. Is it ok to mention your channel on my future website as a reference for where I learned the knots? I am not sure of netiquette all the time, and I have learned from you and a couple of other channels and wanted to note that and direct people to the sites.

      Aww, no problem at all!! And yes, of course. It would make me very happy to be mentioned on your website, thank you! 💛

    To me, this is a hard knot, worked on it and would get it, then lose it when I tried to turn!

  • @adirazc17
    @adirazc17 4 роки тому

    So if I just take it slow and sorta loose it should work?

    • @GrayWonders
      @GrayWonders  4 роки тому +2

      Yes, I recommend doing this knot slowly while you still learn. Be patient with yourself and check your work frequently to make sure it’s looking how you want before you get too far into your projects. Remember, you can also untie the knots and try again. Also try practicing your tension, because keeping that consistent is important! 😊

      @@GrayWonders thank you! How do i avoid waving of cords leading up to the double half hitch? Its hard to macra-weave when the strings aren't tight...

    • @GrayWonders
      @GrayWonders  4 роки тому +1

      This is something I can struggle with too! I suggest just trying to pull each rope tight and as move, try to keep the same tension. A slight wave should be okay. It might also help to make smaller sections until you get more comfortable. An alternative is you could replace the double half hitch knots with square knots. You can see an example of this in my “geometric wall hanging tutorial” where my design leaves open spaces from the square knots that could potentially have a weave added.
