@AliceInChains243 SD38's actually, and the leader in CR blue, which I just couldn't pass up. I can see the OCS over and over again, but seeing full-throttle SD38's on NS just may be something I will never see again. And yeah, we got to lot of railfanning to do up there.
Awesome Eric! I have only had a chance to film half of the OCS here in Austell. If you notice the back observation window now has bars on it, it was broke by some kids before they went to the masters here in Georgia and they split the train at Whittaker yard and 2 SD40-2's pulled part while the window was replaced and I didn't get the 'F' units when they left. Thumbs up!!!
@nprsux No, I went right to Hershey to catch Ringling Brother's Barnum and Bailey load their train. I didn't do any Pittsburgh Line railfanning that day because by the time I got their the OCS was on the Rockville Bridge.
@AliceInChains243 My dorm will be about 300 feet away from the NECR mainline. I would love to go over to VTR in beautiful locations around Rutland. I won't have a ride, so whenever works, hopefully you can come up and bail me out. I won't be far from I-89. I would love to hit up Rutland, White River Jct., or Palmer, etc. every once in awhile. CP might not be worth the trip, everything seems nocturnal. You can only count on Amtrak, which is also mostly what I'll probably be seeing on the NECR.
a GP38 runs by my huose everyday about 5to 6 times a day it hauls chemical cars back and forth between two plants in this area it even has a chessie caboose hooked to it all the time too so the switching crew has a place to chill it runs on the csx main line of course the loco is a csx other than that mostly newer style locos go buy all though there is acouple SD 50s too with old style cabs
Haha so...you gave up chasing the OCS for H2W? Are you out of your mind??? Hahaha nah just kidding, notched geeps are getting harder and harder to come by these days (but there is NO shortage of that in New England, hint hint). Awesome job, it's been 2 years now since I've last seen and shot the F's.
F Unit = Thumbs Up
Electronic Bell = Thumbs Down
awesome catch the sheme and the horn on that F9 is simply great!!!

Stellar Video Eric. I should have known those Buffalo runs would have had you chasing.. 4270's K5LA sounds as stellar as ever.

That unit has a GREAT K5LA, The cabs in those F units are really neat, its modern controls in a vintage unit.

Wow. I didn't know that the NS has a full-dome on it's office car train.
Nice, I caught these later on after they had departed Buffalo. Too bad that guy pulled out in front of your camera at the first crossing..

@togreektown That's because of the GP38-2 Motors in them. I guess you could call them F38-2s.
Привет! Отличное видео! Великолепный поезд! Спасибо! Hi! Excellent video! The magnificent train! Thank you!
@SuperbirdVH
Yeah I know, people have no respect. Right in front of a photo line! That's just rude.
Great K5LA on that unit.
awesome catch i've always wanted to fan the buffalo line and did you fann the pitt to?
Heck, I did not know NS had F units
@o00o00ozy If it's SD38's then hey, that changes things.
Where in VT are you going to be anyway? NECR? VRE? Ect ect?
Do the crews change on the bridge or do was the train sitting and waiting for another train?
Those locos are a remake of these

Good old Aussie GM Power!
I noticed the locomotives had ditch lights installed.
Is this train just used for executives?
Nice video, but their all F7's!

e bells on f units? what were they thinking? i hate e bells!!! why are they using them!????? WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH REAL BELLS???????
Does anybody know the NS Buffalo line frequency?
