I need to see this in funk and jazz/funk territory before I squeeze the trigger on a preorder... Please try to get one done before the offer is up 🙏🏿
Challenge accepted. Stay tunes.
Just wanted to let you know that I just purchased and installed this library and it's truly an enormous leap forward in sampling and kontakt scripting. I know you're currently focussing on jazz libraries, but if you introduce the same quality and feature set (including smart delay) to orchestral sampling, I guarantee it will make a big impact. I hope the company will consider this in the future. Amazing work!
Thanks so much. We’re definitely beginning development on some genres outside of jazz. We’re excited to hear what smart delay can do across the board.
+1 ! Violin section would be a real game changer for all orchestral writing... keep it up ! :)@@straightaheadsamples
How do you make all new Logic tracks you open automatically assigned to the instrument within the same Kontakt? Normally, I open a Kontakt by tracks. What am I doing wrong? Could you help me?
I think a great additional video to make would be one focusing on how to tweak elements of the smart delay performance, for example maybe you don't like the fall length on a certain note or a few notes are too loud. After getting that solid smart delay base, how to really refine the performance to polish the final 10%.
Good call. Definitely on the short list.
This smart delay is actually a brilliant idea! I hope to see technology with guitar stuff to mimic guitar or strings real playing. Amazing
PLEASE tell me, this lead trumpet has that killer intense wah plunger with growl!? That with that room sound, would just be amazing for feeling the loudness. I’ve yet to find any library that gives you good wah samples and actually gives you control over it!
I am going to guess, that due to the lack of response, the answer to this question is a big fat NO? 🤣
Viva la Smart Delay! I just wish DAW's had a way to do a 4 beat track delay adjustment so we could listen to the smart delay and see the notes in the key editor in sync with what we hear, and without having to drag midi parts back and forth. But amazing advancement in sample development, this Smart Delay tech.
Can't wait for this to drop! I have just about every brass library and instrument going, but I have high hopes for this for 70's horns.
This sounds incredible!
Just curious, does the Smart Delay work with Offline Bounce and Commit functions? (I write in Pro Tools).
Also, weird idea, could I use the realtime MIDI properties delay feature instead of moving the notes back on the timeline?
Yes you can use offline bounce.
No, pro tools doesn't allow for that music negative track delay.
thanks! @@straightaheadsamples
Man I was very skeptical when you started out - but minute by minute the simple steps you applied impressed the heck out of me. Well done Sire !!
Thanks for sticking with it!
LET'S GO
Yes!
@@straightaheadsamples Yeah so my jaw dropped...trombones are literally a pain to get right in sample land but Smart Delay makes a universe of difference.
Are there only 2 dynamics? Forte and Fortissimo?
Yes that's correct.
Wonderful walkthrough, even without the note-shaking trumpet or trombone... Great work. This is going to be a terrific library.
Thanks so much. We'll highlight those shakes asap.
That’s so cool! Do you think about making an expansion with all the doubling instruments? That would be even more awesome!
Yes. I think that might just be in development as I type.
…we all so lucky with your actual products and your future plans…today I’m going to buy your atomic big band (on sale now) and looking forward for the extension library for all the doubling instruments…any other future plans on your list?…:-)
This will be the future of sampling. I wish I was writing more jazz or swing influenced music at the moment :(.
Wow! This is a real game changer! Amazing stuff!
Thanks for watching!
Looking forward to getting this very soon! 🤩 Sounds amazing!
Hi, what’s that function you’re using in Logic at around 7:45 once you’ve quantized the notes?
Really looking forward to a video showcasing the multis
Will do.
I'm really considering getting this. I'm just wandering about mutes. I need a muted trumpet.
Yep all the trumpets and trombones have all the standard mutes. Straight, cup, harmon, bucket etc.
Panel is quite like Clarinette en Rose, right? Really like it when using it. Easy to understand and visually informative
Yep, it's the same controls. Glad you like it.
The bone is the best of the group
Sickkk
Sweet!!!! It will be so great in my big band template!!!!
Yes it will!
Damn! I now have a big band with me🤩
You got me with the Baritone and the lead trumpet! Wow
Glad you're as excited as we are!
