Thank you! I would say for a 5k or 10k race, if you’re looking for which shoes is specifically more comfortable, it’s the Magic Speed 3. If you’re looking for better efficiency, I think the Sen 9 feels just a bit snappier. 👍🏻

Thank you! I found it to be true to size. I’m between a 7.5 and 8 Men’s, so I typically always go with an 8. That was the case here, and it gave my toes just the right amount of room (about a thumb’s width).Hope that helps!
I think that you could still get value out of this shoe in fast workout sessions. The plate has a rocker design to it, so you're going to feel that one way or another, but one naturally rolls forward in their foot strike at faster speeds. I hope that makes sense!
They are definitely in the same category. The Takumi Sen 9 feels a bit snappier to me, but overall comfort goes to the Magic Speed 3. I’m not always looking for comfort though when I’m doing speed work, so it’s definitely a preference thing. Thank you!

I felt that the Magic Speed 3 offered more stability for sure with the double layer of Ff Blast+, but the Takumi Sen 9 allowed me to turn over quicker, which is great for workouts. Honestly, I like both shoes a lot. Hope that helps!
I have 5 runs and 32 miles on these shoes. I use them for speed workouts to replace the Asics Superblast that I'm moving over to do long run duty exclusively. After every run my feet/ankles ache all day. Not a huge fan, gotta say.
Asics gave us the inferior foam in this shoe, and it shows. The firmer foam and the plate just feel harsh. Nice looking shoe, but supershoes should feel better than this. The only advantage this has is that it's low profile enough to make turning easier, so getting around a track isn't a constant battle.

My understanding is that while the shoe does have a carbon plate, the midsole foams do not lend themselves to a fun feel and ride. Obviously everyone is different, but the general consensus was that they were a bit of a dud.

I totally understand where you’re coming from. This has been primarily been a track workout shoe for me.
This isn't a super shoe though! It's a training shoe.
Id have to say the Magic speed 3 is a Sexy looking shoe one of reasons I want a pair even thou I cant use it as a daily ahah
