I don't get this point, wouldn't they have it way better because they'd be able to watch it at their own pace instead of weekly release. Assuming they don't get spoiled about what the one piece is then they'd enjoy it way more.
I imagine in One Piece's world before the void century, the Adventures of Joyboy were censored by the many kingdoms across the world to quell fears of a revolution. Thats why the one piece is so important, it hides so much of the history of the world, its a bridge to the past that reveals the truth. The world government doesn't want that.
I felt raw emotions when you asked, how has one piece change your world, bc one piece has been part of my life for when I was 4, watched the horrendous 4kids dub, but feel in love when rewatched it on toonmai. One piece has brought countless different cultures together I can go anywhere and find a one piece fan, talk about our favorite arc, our best theories and why we love it. One piece changed the way I enjoy stories, it makes me more open to other people opinions and it gives me the urge to explore world I live in.
I feel like you hit all the spots except for one... The treasure needs to be in itself valuable, whether it is a magical sake, a magical story, or a magical instrument that brings people together. It should be the thing that turns Luffy's dream into reality. Not symbolically or thematically. The fact that Roger left it there because he was too early means that he didn't have all the keys and that the treasure there is the missing One Piece to turn the world upside down. I mean thematically, the bell of Shandora was exactly that kind of treasure which: brought people together at a very long distance. Maybe it is something that literally complements the drums of liberation which are Luffy's heartbeat, the hands of liberation that brings people together regardless of distance, the ancient weapons that bring down the barriers of the world (the mountains of Wano, the people of Fishman island to the surface, the Red Line and Calm Belt). Maybe it's all of these things combined into one single invitation, told in song. A promise to meet at the town where it all began. Maybe even in celebration of a new cycle, a new dawn, during a polar shift of 90 degrees. I feel like the history of the world in comic form being present at Laugh Tale is perfect, though I think that the missing One Piece will have to be something more instantly wish-granting.
The One Piece is literally the goal of destroying the established world order that divides the world, therefore making the world into... One Piece. The requirements to reach this goal are still to be determined. Is it information? Is it technology? Is it a person? It could be anything, but the end goal remains the same.
If I remember correctly, Luffy's goal was never the One Piece treasure itself but to become the Pirate King, which is his requirement to accomplish his dream.

Great points all around. Gol D Roger said that he was too early when he arrived at Laugh Tale which means that the Nika Nika fruit is most likely a requirement to actually use the One Piece treasure. Luffy in chapter 1070 already turned a Dream into reality in Gear 5 and I can see the One Piece amplify it to like a "Rainbow" type power. Sunlight is white and contains all the colors of the rainbow, and Luffy is white in Gear 5, so can he maybe start glowing like a Rainbow when he gets the One Piece treasure and get the ability to dream up any ability he can dream of, like a super Logia fruit that has all the elements of nature (like Super Mario when he gets a Golden Star).
So Madam shyarly's ancestor wrote everything that's gonna happen 800 years from then? and made a successful comic book out of luffy's story that is yet to happen Then that story inspired luffy to go and do it. Then we have a chicken or the egg conundrum😂

Sure, it's the same color as his pants, but the proportions of where that knee is relative to how he's standing just doesn't match at all. Is he standing on one leg then with his one knee curled up like that? Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Oda is full of tricks and red herrings, and everyone seems to fall for them every single time. I guess that works though, because then reveals are super hype when we realized he had us fooled this whole time. I think Artur is on to something here, though! Even if that yellow object isn't a comic book, he's definitely holding SOMETHING there.

The power scalers, and casual readers will start calling one piece mid or say that it fell off,and the ending is garbage. Unfortunately one piece fandom has grown but the literary comprehension abilities of the said fandom has not. People don't know what they want for the most part, And it will be annoying to hear people whine about the ending (if this theory is somewhat relevant) but I believe in Oda. let him cook and see if his idea for a good ending is universally accepted or not.

I actually started thinking this too, especially knowing how advanced the ancient kingdom was that joyboy/Nika could have literally have been a tv show or manga character from that time. Just like Luffy is now the comic book character we watch today.
i think i've hit upon the same general theory as you except mine is a little less farfetched: I think the One Piece" that Roger found is a captain's log of the original "Joyboy", essentially a novelization of a previous adventure. i think it also kind of mirrors Zeff offering Luffy his captain's log. He denied the offer back then because he didn't want any clues or hints or spoilers about the journey, but once he makes it to Laugh Tale he might be interested in how others made their journey
I believe the moment of Luffy founding the one piece will be broadcasted to the entire world and we will see every single character we loved and hated for all these years laughing with absolute joy on their faces
Great video! You already convinced in other videos about the one piece being a piece of fiction that can bring people together, exactly like the one piece manga did for all of us. I honestly couldn't think of a more poignant and thematically appropriate treasure, exactly like how Gear 5th powers are supposed to represent the joy and freedom of Oda as an artist, the freedom to create anything he can imagine to make people laugh. I'm already tearing up thinking about it and I really hope the One Piece will turn out to be something like that ❤
One piece just being a comic book would honestly be extremely underwhelming. Of course, the actual journey is incredible but the end has to justify that. There has be something valuable and powerful enough to turn the world government system upside down and make Luffy and everyone else's dream a reality. A single book can't do that without something more to back it up.
I agree with you, for the story itself would it would be ok ... But imagine the people who followed the story for years to at the end get a "one piece" as a comic book. Would be scam.
For the past few years I've thought of Joy Boy as a concept or idea. Every time somebody mentions his return, they would talk about it as if he would just manifest in someone instead being there the whole time. Now that we know the fruit is the catalyst, think back to when Kaido first knocked Luffy off the island and mentioned that he couldn't be Joy Boy either. As if he knew the idea or character would manifest in someone.

This makes Kumas Bibles all more interesting. Im sure it must have something to do with JoyBoy and him always having faith. If he looked up to the “Sun God Nika” it would make sense he would carry a bible around reminding him where he draws so much inspiration. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if One piece turns out to be a OP version of the Bible. A bible is a collection of multiple books and are in one piece. Bible contains the history, Truth and teachings. God in the bible is compassionate, liberates people from sins and burdens and is the Savior. The bible also tells us about the false god (Anti-Christ) who will rule and decieved the ppl in the world before God's second coming. The Anti-Christ is also the opposite and enemy of God. According to the scriptures "..so that he (Anti-Christ) sits down in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God" It's very similar to what the Celestial dragons and Imu did in the One Piece world. It is said that "Anti-Christ will forge a one-world government through promises of peace and they will control the world economy. But when Jesus returns, he will expose the Antichrist as an impostor, defeat him in the battle of Armageddon". I think it's very similar to what Imu & the CD's are doing. They control the world economy and ask for tributes and Joyboy will retrun to defeat Imu in the war. If OP really turns out to the the Bible then it will be the reason why the WG doesn't want the One Piece to be found otherwise it will expose their true nature just like how it will turn the OP world upsidedown. I think it's also interesting where Oda gets inspiration with the story and characters. I think he get Joyboy's character inspiration from various religion. Nika's phiciscal ability could be from hanuman and his character concept is inspired by Christianity. And for Kuma, I think his bible isn't the complete book. I guess it's only a portion of the whole bible that is why it manage to slip under the WG's nose. Probably the Buccaneers tribe crime is because they manage to hid a copy for a small portion of the One Piece and teaches it to it's people like how they pass down the legend of Nika and the drums of liberation. Interesting parallel how Buccaneers are believer of Nika and Kuma being a pastor are prosecuted by Nerona Imu and the whole CD just like how Nero prosecuted Christians in history. I guess this could be the inspiration of what happens to the Buccaneer tribe. If Kuma is really going to egghead, I think he will return the bible to Bonney. I do have a feeling that Bonney is joining the crew. I think the WG doesn't know what Kuma's bible is yet. They probably doesn't particularly know what Joyboy's treasure is and just know what it will do to them. The contents of Kuma's bible could be something that will trigger the great war.
If the One Piece is the Bible of the One Piece world, then could Sora, the Warrior of the Sea, be the false bible or Satanic propaganda of the One Piece world? If the One Piece created the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Nika, could Imu’s Devil Fruit be the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Sora? I mean, if Sora’s comic was created to counter the One Piece comic, then naturally, Sora must have a Devil Fruit that counters the Nika/Gum-Gum Fruit.

Thus why the WG made studying about the history a crime like Robin's case coz with history, the truth will be revealed. The ppl of OP world doesn't even know the existence of Imu. They lied about that it's an empty throne and having a king of the world. On joyBoy's return it will be the start of the revelation of the WG lies and a great war will happend between the WG and SH and it's allies which will be the end of Imu.
I like this theory because to me Luffy has a lot of Christ like characteristics. (The biggest clue to me is his Lamb ship being reborn as a flaming Lion ship.)
I think it's not a book that Roger is holding, it seems to just be his knee (the color matches his pants) he probably laughed so much that he fell like the rest of the crew (in the anime he's just standing there but he's not holding anything either)
I’m not very articulate and I don’t often remember my thoughts but I definitely remember thinking about one piece a few months ago and coming to the realization that maybe Oda is our Joy Boy, and this story is his treasure to us. I was thinking that Oda is probably the kind of person who thinks about world peace a lot and this story was his contribution toward it. Of course that’s such a wild speculation since for all I know Oda isn’t thinking about any of that but even though I tend to forget these thoughts this one stuck with me to this day. Hopefully it sticks with me till the end of the story so I can see it through
Sometimes I like to think that the One Piece is either some sort of magical musical instrument or a song. Though is true that Luffy is the one "planning" the feasts/parties, Brook is a big-time entertainer that is always a core part of said parties, I mean Brook is the one that introduces Bink's Sake to the audience and part of his whole thing is making people come together to listen to his music and having a blast with his shows. I mean as far as I know, no other pirate crew has someone on their crew with the only purpose of being a musician and I would be certain that probably Roger didn't had a musician on his crew, imagine they all laughed cuz they realized that they had everything but a musician and they realized that without one they wouldn't be able to furfill Joyboy's dreams. If you think about it, pretty much all of the Mugiwaras furfill a role that you would expect is key and massively useful on a pirate crew, like a swordsman, a cook, a navigator, a medic, etc... but what about a musician? Why would you need a musician? So my theory is that maybe the One Piece is a song and the "history" that Roger read was the lyrics of said song, realized that they can't do anything with it without a musician, realized he never thought about having a musician till that very moment and just laughed at the fact, like "I just put together the strongest pirate crew of the era but forgot about the musician lmao". Another interesting detail for me is that we all have theorized for a long time that whales are probably an important part on the whole story and the fact that Laboon followed around the Rumbar Pirates, a pirate crew composed purely of musicians, and that they also followed the Mugiwaras at the end of the Gyojin Island arc when Brook started to play Bink's Sake as they were traveling back to the surface of the ocean again and also considering that Luffy invited Brook into the crew not because of his combat capabilities but exclusively because he's a musician (seems to me that Brook being good at combat comes off as a very secondary thing, or more likely, a convenient part of the plot since pretty much all Mugiwaras, the crew of the future Pirate King, have to be good in combat for obvious reasons) a role you would assume doesn't feel "cornerstone" for a pirate crew (compared to, lets say, navigator, chef or medic), to me all of these things are a key part of the whole puzzle and I want to believe that Brook is a key part of this considering a musician is, by all means, the "soul of the party".
Imagine if the One Piece treasure turns out to be the "One Piece" manga itself inside the story, making Whitebeard's famous last words "One piece wa jitsuzai suru" being translated as "One Piece is real" instead of "The One Piece [treasure] exists". This would also make Rayleigh's answer to Robin back in Sabaody Archipelago much more impactful, where he said that they couldn't do anything right now if he told them the story and that they should continue their journey step by step, instead of rushing to the end. Meaning that the story is about the straw hat pirates themself and they must experience the story by themself instead of getting them spoiled by Rayleigh. However, this would heavily violate the concept of freedom in the story. If all actions of the characters inside the story have already been decided by a higher being, in this case the mangaka of the "One Piece" story back in the void century, then everything we would have learned from the story about deciding for yourself what you want to do with your life would go to wase. So even though this would be a crazy inception-style story, the One Piece treasure would just be a random hero-fantasy story about a guy named Joyboy instead of our beloved rubber man Monkey D. Luffy.
Luffy was a very serious and straight forward kid before eating the gum gum fruit, then years later when he's out to sea (and after years with the fruit) is goofy and creative, just throwing it out there

@@Onion43coloration is fan made so it doesn't tell us anything. Go back to chapter 967, the page before, we see him standing, then the "he laughed" panel. He specifically looks down in the direction of the 'thing', looking down like that (and laughing) is not something Roger would really do, that's a bit of weird position for him to be in in such a moment. It might be a conscious decision for Oda to throw confusion in so that people couldn't just see it and immediately confirm that there is a book. But it's really when he says "what a funny STORY you've left behind"... Also about the anime, well first it probably doesn't know anything about any of that, so they just do it on their own, and even if they had interactions with Oda, sharing what the One Piece treasure is with the team might be a bit too dangerous... Even so, it's a hidden detail that is hidden in a manga way, exploiting the boundaries that manga panel haves, not only would it have looked weird in the anime (and it's okay if the anime misses that detail everybody would miss anyway), but it echoes the fact the treasure itself is a manga... Also, one more thing is that the panel right after, he speads his arms (like he often does), and both are hidden (one outside the panel, one behind a speech bubble), so he could even be holding it at this moment.
I think part of what made Roger laugh is because of how big the bottle of sake is if *everyone’s* meant to partake. Like half as big as Oars maybe. That idea alone’s making me laugh.

He was preparing Luffy to become the destined one by marking his chest with an X mark, which will mark the location of where the treasure One Piece will end up. "Chest" is a wordplay that has a dual meaning. It refers to the part of the body around the abdomen, and it also refers to a box or container of treasure. In other words, inside Luffy's chest lies his HEART !!..

You're onto something with that comic book theory as Kaido told Luffy during the Gear 5th portion of the fight that his Awakening looked like something out of a comic book.
That might be my 2nd favorite part of the video, with the first being the ideas by the end (even if not the story's future; which _would_ make Kaido's line less spectacular, but we'll see).
This reminds me of one of the early chapters where is was mentioned that devil fruits are the product of peoples dreams, a materialization of wishes and hopes. The strong wish of liberation and the need for freedom gave rise of the legend of Joyboy which then lead to the creation of a devil fruit that realized this dream, similar to the wish to create fire or the wish to be invisible. The question is what the power was that lead to those fruits to be a thing in the first place, but maybe in this fictional world they just exist and that is how it is.
Lol, nah. Laughtale or the land of the dead is located near the core of the earth. One piece is simply the device that can change geography. The true story is, each race of One piece came from other planets in solar system, but the history was erased by current rulers. Gorosei, Ancient weapons all named after planets. Celestials wear spacesuits, Teach uses Dark matter, and Luffy is already the god of Sun.
The one piece is the story of the history of the void century, the reason they lost the previous war, and the prophecy which will detail how to defeat imu and what things are needed! The laughing comes from telling who the next joy boy will be and all his escapades of bringing joy to the people and the destruction of the world government

This remember me of the comic book “Promethea”, that is a entity that exists if is believed, she manifests as a act of faith, or by a song, or by a story. But is between the line of fiction and reality. And Luffy being a imagined JoyBoy, the desire of the people as thought, could be in the same dynamic. This would be awesome, and Promethea is incredible, one of my favorite comic books

No words to describe how I am feeling now, Its funny how these small details as "a single line above the voice bubble" rogers line of "wishing being born in the same era" and changing the perspective to see "one piece being the one piece manga" can truly answer the mystery that no one could figure out and how it all makes sense!! Instead the treasure of one piece being a thing which will suddenly stop Injustice, racism & cruelty in the world and somehow change the world for better, it being a tale which will make people laugh teach about the importance of freedom, friendship, dreams, values, strong will, show the sense of adventure and so much more that I can't describe and write, these things will surely make people change it being made erased from the world makes sense as these things will make people want freedom and rebel against the tyrants who wants to control and rule. Everytime after watching your "big & Epic theory vidoes" I am shocked with my perspective of one piece changed & I am left feeling sad cause now I know what the mystery is, truly commendable how you figure our these details really appreciate your efforts!
Wow! What a brilliant theory, and it makes perfect sense. Joyboy being a fictional character explains how the fruit came about, and how the Joyboy of the past was someone else who ate the fruit. It also explains that Luffy became Joyboy as soon as he ate the fruit because the fruits will influenced him. I do believe the fruit chose him because he was the perfect candidate to fulfill Joyboy’s will. This also explains why Luffy had to die to become Joyboy. He had to forfeit all resistance to allow Joyboys will to completely take over. That may also explain why Luffy looks dead when he’s over used the fruit. It’s because Luffy’s original soul is gone, and only Joyboys soul remains which is from the fruit, so when the fruit is overused, the user becomes a soulless vessel. I was kinda dozing off during the video, you know, just half asleep, until you said Joyboy not being a real person. That got me wide awake and pumped because I always had this hunch that Joyboy was more like nickname than an actual guy. The idea hit me back when Roger found the One Piece and busted out laughing till he cried. I mean, Oda wouldn't just give him that reaction for nothing, right? So, I figured Oda's gonna pull the same trick on us readers - make us react exactly like roger's reaction. I started thinking, what could make us all laugh and cry together? Then it hit me: imagine if this whole time, we've been listening to Luffy telling the tale of the One Piece and He'd say, "And that's how One Piece goes. The end." Man, that idea brought tears to my eyes, but at the same time, I was kinda bummed. I'd already set up this whole expectation for the final chapter, but what if I couldn't get that genuine reaction because I saw it coming? Anyway, I'm totally with you on this - One Piece is a comic/ rather a story about Luffy and his crew (or a similar story as luffy's crew). It was right there in front of us the whole time - "Laugh Tale", Roger's reaction, his dialogue after finding the one piece - it all fits perfectly. Your well-researched, manga-backed theory just sealed the deal for me. You really nailed it with this awesome video!
What I do love about One piece is the effort Oda puts into his world. Most Anime the world and setting usually only matter to the extent that it impacts the main characters.
One piece (Jap, IND, Chinese) Magical peaks of the world , Mystery Lake or Skeleton Lake, Three peaks Fight's m fuji , Himalayas, Final Saga Mount Everest & Mount Kailash.
Oda said that he just wanted to make a story that a child could understand. Like Vicky the Viking. I think maybe the Geocentrical and Heliocentrical shift in history is a metaphor he uses because is something they teach us in school pretty soon. He will for shure change the world thanks to this story. Literature and art are shure magical things.
Also no wonder why Oda makes so many characters have unique laughter & also speaking of laughter since Brook has the laughter from Bink’s Sake he did made people party during Fishman Island by using a technique called Party Music 🎶 so maybe this is foreshadowing for Luffy

A friend and I thought about the idea of Nika being a character of a comic made to represent the D's ideals, in contrast of Sora's comics, and liked the idea of Oda breaking the 4th wall, understanding it as a love letter to the manga medium itself. But you have gone even further with this theory, telling that the Nika manga will change the world the same way the One Piece manga does, I like it.
For me, the fact that Oden knew that 20 pirates would be the ones to take Kaido down made me sure that the era of Joyboy Roger was talking about was Luffy's. The One Piece treasure manga itself allowed them to know how the story would play out
super cool theory I just wanted to add a little detail that I've been thinking about: the D probably stands for Dawn as you mentioned but doesn't it also look like a sake cup? The same sake cup that Saba Ace and Luffy shared when Ace told Sabo that he could also be a D if he wanted to. So the D is the testimony of the bond they shared

I've been coining with the idea that one piece is a meta joke, but that doesn't explain buccaneers', or the song binks' sake's existence. I don't think Oda is going to make his own characters (or his fans) laugh by saying "one piece is my attempt to make you laugh". Additionally, it doesn't explain Imu's deep hatred towards humans which are supposedly their own race. If Imu really is one of the 20 _human_ kings, would the explanation really be that they are just a powertripping child with immortality? And what of the buccaneers? I'm willing to bet that buccaneers' religion is to worship the sun god and that the sun god's habits are written down as a comic which could very well be found at the final island... but that doesn't make it One Piece the manga. Furthermore, we're still waiting for the answers to the buccaneers' genocide. The only clue so far was from Jaygarcia, stating that the reason buccaneers had to go was because they believed in the sun god and his intentions to... liberate? Nothing more. If the treasure one piece is a meta joke, Imu's hatred towards buccaneers would practically be that they "hated the manga" or something along those lines. Adding further skepticism towards the result of the theory, that'd make Imu the representation of one piece haters. Symbolism aside, which author in their right mind would raise such a middle finger? With a franchise that's selling millions? Don't go playing the "it's ridiculous enough to be true", you the reader and i both know that's not how one piece will end. I cried for how beautiful it was. It is all brilliant (just like the first two parts of your mega theory), and the entirety of it is consistent to the story. It's definitely the best I've seen and the most probable outcome for the story out of all others.

I don't think this is important, but I just saw a video titled "Real Historical Accounts of Giants" by Joe Scott. Will leave the link below, because after I saw a map, the elements in the map I started thinking "wow it seems this is related to One Piece", then the guy says Magellan's name! By far the best of the best videos i have ever seen, a lot of emotions especially the part where you mention what One piece the manga had done and the impact it had on hunderd of milions if not billions of people over decades of time ONE PIECE IS THE ONE PIECE. Imagine at the end the last episode and last pages of the manga a plathora of shots and pictures depicting groups of people from the one piece world kingdoms and characters grouped together along with the first ever theme song and the narrator describing the story " This is One piece" ...End

I don't get this point, wouldn't they have it way better because they'd be able to watch it at their own pace instead of weekly release. Assuming they don't get spoiled about what the one piece is then they'd enjoy it way more.
I imagine in One Piece's world before the void century, the Adventures of Joyboy were censored by the many kingdoms across the world to quell fears of a revolution. Thats why the one piece is so important, it hides so much of the history of the world, its a bridge to the past that reveals the truth. The world government doesn't want that.
I felt raw emotions when you asked, how has one piece change your world, bc one piece has been part of my life for when I was 4, watched the horrendous 4kids dub, but feel in love when rewatched it on toonmai. One piece has brought countless different cultures together I can go anywhere and find a one piece fan, talk about our favorite arc, our best theories and why we love it. One piece changed the way I enjoy stories, it makes me more open to other people opinions and it gives me the urge to explore world I live in.
The Sora /Joy Boy comic comparison reminds me of the end of Wano when the snake teacher gets replaced and all the children have to re-learn history.
I feel like you hit all the spots except for one... The treasure needs to be in itself valuable, whether it is a magical sake, a magical story, or a magical instrument that brings people together. It should be the thing that turns Luffy's dream into reality. Not symbolically or thematically. The fact that Roger left it there because he was too early means that he didn't have all the keys and that the treasure there is the missing One Piece to turn the world upside down.
I mean thematically, the bell of Shandora was exactly that kind of treasure which: brought people together at a very long distance. Maybe it is something that literally complements the drums of liberation which are Luffy's heartbeat, the hands of liberation that brings people together regardless of distance, the ancient weapons that bring down the barriers of the world (the mountains of Wano, the people of Fishman island to the surface, the Red Line and Calm Belt).
Maybe it's all of these things combined into one single invitation, told in song. A promise to meet at the town where it all began. Maybe even in celebration of a new cycle, a new dawn, during a polar shift of 90 degrees.
I feel like the history of the world in comic form being present at Laugh Tale is perfect, though I think that the missing One Piece will have to be something more instantly wish-granting.
The One Piece is literally the goal of destroying the established world order that divides the world, therefore making the world into... One Piece.
The requirements to reach this goal are still to be determined. Is it information? Is it technology? Is it a person? It could be anything, but the end goal remains the same.
If I remember correctly, Luffy's goal was never the One Piece treasure itself but to become the Pirate King, which is his requirement to accomplish his dream.

Great points all around. Gol D Roger said that he was too early when he arrived at Laugh Tale which means that the Nika Nika fruit is most likely a requirement to actually use the One Piece treasure.
Luffy in chapter 1070 already turned a Dream into reality in Gear 5 and I can see the One Piece amplify it to like a "Rainbow" type power. Sunlight is white and contains all the colors of the rainbow, and Luffy is white in Gear 5, so can he maybe start glowing like a Rainbow when he gets the One Piece treasure and get the ability to dream up any ability he can dream of, like a super Logia fruit that has all the elements of nature (like Super Mario when he gets a Golden Star).
It all make sense just like how Rayleigh says "Yeah we know, We learned the entire history".
So Madam shyarly's ancestor wrote everything that's gonna happen 800 years from then? and made a successful comic book out of luffy's story that is yet to happen

Sure, it's the same color as his pants, but the proportions of where that knee is relative to how he's standing just doesn't match at all. Is he standing on one leg then with his one knee curled up like that? Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Oda is full of tricks and red herrings, and everyone seems to fall for them every single time. I guess that works though, because then reveals are super hype when we realized he had us fooled this whole time.

I actually started thinking this too, especially knowing how advanced the ancient kingdom was that joyboy/Nika could have literally have been a tv show or manga character from that time. Just like Luffy is now the comic book character we watch today.
i think i've hit upon the same general theory as you except mine is a little less farfetched: I think the One Piece" that Roger found is a captain's log of the original "Joyboy", essentially a novelization of a previous adventure. i think it also kind of mirrors Zeff offering Luffy his captain's log. He denied the offer back then because he didn't want any clues or hints or spoilers about the journey, but once he makes it to Laugh Tale he might be interested in how others made their journey
I believe the moment of Luffy founding the one piece will be broadcasted to the entire world and we will see every single character we loved and hated for all these years laughing with absolute joy on their faces
Great video! You already convinced in other videos about the one piece being a piece of fiction that can bring people together, exactly like the one piece manga did for all of us. I honestly couldn't think of a more poignant and thematically appropriate treasure, exactly like how Gear 5th powers are supposed to represent the joy and freedom of Oda as an artist, the freedom to create anything he can imagine to make people laugh. I'm already tearing up thinking about it and I really hope the One Piece will turn out to be something like that ❤
One piece just being a comic book would honestly be extremely underwhelming. Of course, the actual journey is incredible but the end has to justify that. There has be something valuable and powerful enough to turn the world government system upside down and make Luffy and everyone else's dream a reality. A single book can't do that without something more to back it up.

For the past few years I've thought of Joy Boy as a concept or idea. Every time somebody mentions his return, they would talk about it as if he would just manifest in someone instead being there the whole time. Now that we know the fruit is the catalyst, think back to when Kaido first knocked Luffy off the island and mentioned that he couldn't be Joy Boy either. As if he knew the idea or character would manifest in someone.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if One piece turns out to be a OP version of the Bible. A bible is a collection of multiple books and are in one piece. Bible contains the history, Truth and teachings. God in the bible is compassionate, liberates people from sins and burdens and is the Savior. The bible also tells us about the false god (Anti-Christ) who will rule and decieved the ppl in the world before God's second coming. The Anti-Christ is also the opposite and enemy of God. According to the scriptures "..so that he (Anti-Christ) sits down in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God" It's very similar to what the Celestial dragons and Imu did in the One Piece world.
It is said that "Anti-Christ will forge a one-world government through promises of peace and they will control the world economy. But when Jesus returns, he will expose the Antichrist as an impostor, defeat him in the battle of Armageddon". I think it's very similar to what Imu & the CD's are doing. They control the world economy and ask for tributes and Joyboy will retrun to defeat Imu in the war.
If OP really turns out to the the Bible then it will be the reason why the WG doesn't want the One Piece to be found otherwise it will expose their true nature just like how it will turn the OP world upsidedown.
I think it's also interesting where Oda gets inspiration with the story and characters. I think he get Joyboy's character inspiration from various religion. Nika's phiciscal ability could be from hanuman and his character concept is inspired by Christianity.
And for Kuma, I think his bible isn't the complete book. I guess it's only a portion of the whole bible that is why it manage to slip under the WG's nose. Probably the Buccaneers tribe crime is because they manage to hid a copy for a small portion of the One Piece and teaches it to it's people like how they pass down the legend of Nika and the drums of liberation. Interesting parallel how Buccaneers are believer of Nika and Kuma being a pastor are prosecuted by Nerona Imu and the whole CD just like how Nero prosecuted Christians in history. I guess this could be the inspiration of what happens to the Buccaneer tribe.
If Kuma is really going to egghead, I think he will return the bible to Bonney. I do have a feeling that Bonney is joining the crew. I think the WG doesn't know what Kuma's bible is yet. They probably doesn't particularly know what Joyboy's treasure is and just know what it will do to them. The contents of Kuma's bible could be something that will trigger the great war.
If the One Piece is the Bible of the One Piece world, then could Sora, the Warrior of the Sea, be the false bible or Satanic propaganda of the One Piece world? If the One Piece created the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Nika, could Imu’s Devil Fruit be the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Sora? I mean, if Sora’s comic was created to counter the One Piece comic, then naturally, Sora must have a Devil Fruit that counters the Nika/Gum-Gum Fruit.

I’m not very articulate and I don’t often remember my thoughts but I definitely remember thinking about one piece a few months ago and coming to the realization that maybe Oda is our Joy Boy, and this story is his treasure to us.
I was thinking that Oda is probably the kind of person who thinks about world peace a lot and this story was his contribution toward it. Of course that’s such a wild speculation since for all I know Oda isn’t thinking about any of that but even though I tend to forget these thoughts this one stuck with me to this day. Hopefully it sticks with me till the end of the story so I can see it through

Sometimes I like to think that the One Piece is either some sort of magical musical instrument or a song. Though is true that Luffy is the one "planning" the feasts/parties, Brook is a big-time entertainer that is always a core part of said parties, I mean Brook is the one that introduces Bink's Sake to the audience and part of his whole thing is making people come together to listen to his music and having a blast with his shows. I mean as far as I know, no other pirate crew has someone on their crew with the only purpose of being a musician and I would be certain that probably Roger didn't had a musician on his crew, imagine they all laughed cuz they realized that they had everything but a musician and they realized that without one they wouldn't be able to furfill Joyboy's dreams. If you think about it, pretty much all of the Mugiwaras furfill a role that you would expect is key and massively useful on a pirate crew, like a swordsman, a cook, a navigator, a medic, etc... but what about a musician? Why would you need a musician? So my theory is that maybe the One Piece is a song and the "history" that Roger read was the lyrics of said song, realized that they can't do anything with it without a musician, realized he never thought about having a musician till that very moment and just laughed at the fact, like "I just put together the strongest pirate crew of the era but forgot about the musician lmao". Another interesting detail for me is that we all have theorized for a long time that whales are probably an important part on the whole story and the fact that Laboon followed around the Rumbar Pirates, a pirate crew composed purely of musicians, and that they also followed the Mugiwaras at the end of the Gyojin Island arc when Brook started to play Bink's Sake as they were traveling back to the surface of the ocean again and also considering that Luffy invited Brook into the crew not because of his combat capabilities but exclusively because he's a musician (seems to me that Brook being good at combat comes off as a very secondary thing, or more likely, a convenient part of the plot since pretty much all Mugiwaras, the crew of the future Pirate King, have to be good in combat for obvious reasons) a role you would assume doesn't feel "cornerstone" for a pirate crew (compared to, lets say, navigator, chef or medic), to me all of these things are a key part of the whole puzzle and I want to believe that Brook is a key part of this considering a musician is, by all means, the "soul of the party".

Imagine if the One Piece treasure turns out to be the "One Piece" manga itself inside the story, making Whitebeard's famous last words "One piece wa jitsuzai suru" being translated as "One Piece is real" instead of "The One Piece [treasure] exists".
This would also make Rayleigh's answer to Robin back in Sabaody Archipelago much more impactful, where he said that they couldn't do anything right now if he told them the story and that they should continue their journey step by step, instead of rushing to the end. Meaning that the story is about the straw hat pirates themself and they must experience the story by themself instead of getting them spoiled by Rayleigh.
However, this would heavily violate the concept of freedom in the story. If all actions of the characters inside the story have already been decided by a higher being, in this case the mangaka of the "One Piece" story back in the void century, then everything we would have learned from the story about deciding for yourself what you want to do with your life would go to wase.
So even though this would be a crazy inception-style story, the One Piece treasure would just be a random hero-fantasy story about a guy named Joyboy instead of our beloved rubber man Monkey D. Luffy.

@@Onion43coloration is fan made so it doesn't tell us anything. Go back to chapter 967, the page before, we see him standing, then the "he laughed" panel. He specifically looks down in the direction of the 'thing', looking down like that (and laughing) is not something Roger would really do, that's a bit of weird position for him to be in in such a moment. It might be a conscious decision for Oda to throw confusion in so that people couldn't just see it and immediately confirm that there is a book. But it's really when he says "what a funny STORY you've left behind"...
Also about the anime, well first it probably doesn't know anything about any of that, so they just do it on their own, and even if they had interactions with Oda, sharing what the One Piece treasure is with the team might be a bit too dangerous...
Even so, it's a hidden detail that is hidden in a manga way, exploiting the boundaries that manga panel haves, not only would it have looked weird in the anime (and it's okay if the anime misses that detail everybody would miss anyway), but it echoes the fact the treasure itself is a manga...
Also, one more thing is that the panel right after, he speads his arms (like he often does), and both are hidden (one outside the panel, one behind a speech bubble), so he could even be holding it at this moment.

You're onto something with that comic book theory as Kaido told Luffy during the Gear 5th portion of the fight that his Awakening looked like something out of a comic book.
That might be my 2nd favorite part of the video, with the first being the ideas by the end (even if not the story's future; which _would_ make Kaido's line less spectacular, but we'll see).
This reminds me of one of the early chapters where is was mentioned that devil fruits are the product of peoples dreams, a materialization of wishes and hopes. The strong wish of liberation and the need for freedom gave rise of the legend of Joyboy which then lead to the creation of a devil fruit that realized this dream, similar to the wish to create fire or the wish to be invisible. The question is what the power was that lead to those fruits to be a thing in the first place, but maybe in this fictional world they just exist and that is how it is.

Lol, nah. Laughtale or the land of the dead is located near the core of the earth. One piece is simply the device that can change geography. The true story is, each race of One piece came from other planets in solar system, but the history was erased by current rulers. Gorosei, Ancient weapons all named after planets. Celestials wear spacesuits, Teach uses Dark matter, and Luffy is already the god of Sun.

This remember me of the comic book “Promethea”, that is a entity that exists if is believed, she manifests as a act of faith, or by a song, or by a story. But is between the line of fiction and reality. And Luffy being a imagined JoyBoy, the desire of the people as thought, could be in the same dynamic. No words to describe how I am feeling now, Its funny how these small details as "a single line above the voice bubble" rogers line of "wishing being born in the same era" and changing the perspective to see "one piece being the one piece manga" can truly answer the mystery that no one could figure out and how it all makes sense!! Instead the treasure of one piece being a thing which will suddenly stop Injustice, racism & cruelty in the world and somehow change the world for better, it being a tale which will make people laugh teach about the importance of freedom, friendship, dreams, values, strong will, show the sense of adventure and so much more that I can't describe and write, these things will surely make people change it being made erased from the world makes sense as these things will make people want freedom and rebel against the tyrants who wants to control and rule.
Everytime after watching your "big & Epic theory vidoes" I am shocked with my perspective of one piece changed & I am left feeling sad cause now I know what the mystery is, truly commendable how you figure our these details really appreciate your efforts!
Wow! What a brilliant theory, and it makes perfect sense. Joyboy being a fictional character explains how the fruit came about, and how the Joyboy of the past was someone else who ate the fruit. It also explains that Luffy became Joyboy as soon as he ate the fruit because the fruits will influenced him. I do believe the fruit chose him because he was the perfect candidate to fulfill Joyboy’s will. This also explains why Luffy had to die to become Joyboy. He had to forfeit all resistance to allow Joyboys will to completely take over. That may also explain why Luffy looks dead when he’s over used the fruit. It’s because Luffy’s original soul is gone, and only Joyboys soul remains which is from the fruit, so when the fruit is overused, the user becomes a soulless vessel. I was kinda dozing off during the video, you know, just half asleep, until you said Joyboy not being a real person. That got me wide awake and pumped because I always had this hunch that Joyboy was more like nickname than an actual guy. The idea hit me back when Roger found the One Piece and busted out laughing till he cried. I mean, Oda wouldn't just give him that reaction for nothing, right? So, I figured Oda's gonna pull the same trick on us readers - make us react exactly like roger's reaction.
I started thinking, what could make us all laugh and cry together? Then it hit me: imagine if this whole time, we've been listening to Luffy telling the tale of the One Piece and He'd say, "And that's how One Piece goes. The end." Man, that idea brought tears to my eyes, but at the same time, I was kinda bummed. I'd already set up this whole expectation for the final chapter, but what if I couldn't get that genuine reaction because I saw it coming? Anyway, I'm totally with you on this - One Piece is a comic/ rather a story about Luffy and his crew (or a similar story as luffy's crew). It was right there in front of us the whole time - "Laugh Tale", Roger's reaction, his dialogue after finding the one piece - it all fits perfectly. Your well-researched, manga-backed theory just sealed the deal for me. You really nailed it with this awesome video!

I don't know if I'll be happy with the One Piece being something so meta as an actual comic book.
What I do love about One piece is the effort Oda puts into his world. Most Anime the world and setting usually only matter to the extent that it impacts the main characters.
One piece (Jap, IND, Chinese) Magical peaks of the world , Mystery Lake or Skeleton Lake, Three peaks Fight's m fuji , Himalayas, Final Saga Mount Everest & Mount Kailash.
Oda said that he just wanted to make a story that a child could understand. Like Vicky the Viking. I think maybe the Geocentrical and Heliocentrical shift in history is a metaphor he uses because is something they teach us in school pretty soon.
He will for shure change the world thanks to this story. Literature and art are shure magical things.
Also no wonder why Oda makes so many characters have unique laughter & also speaking of laughter since Brook has the laughter from Bink’s Sake he did made people party during Fishman Island by using a technique called Party Music 🎶 so maybe this is foreshadowing for Luffy

A friend and I thought about the idea of Nika being a character of a comic made to represent the D's ideals, in contrast of Sora's comics, and liked the idea of Oda breaking the 4th wall, understanding it as a love letter to the manga medium itself. But you have gone even further with this theory, telling that the Nika manga will change the world the same way the One Piece manga does, I like it.

The same sake cup that Saba Ace and Luffy shared when Ace told Sabo that he could also be a D if he wanted to. So the D is the testimony of the bond they shared

I've been coining with the idea that one piece is a meta joke, but that doesn't explain buccaneers', or the song binks' sake's existence. I don't think Oda is going to make his own characters (or his fans) laugh by saying "one piece is my attempt to make you laugh".
Additionally, it doesn't explain Imu's deep hatred towards humans which are supposedly their own race. If Imu really is one of the 20 _human_ kings, would the explanation really be that they are just a powertripping child with immortality? And what of the buccaneers? I'm willing to bet that buccaneers' religion is to worship the sun god and that the sun god's habits are written down as a comic which could very well be found at the final island... but that doesn't make it One Piece the manga. Furthermore, we're still waiting for the answers to the buccaneers' genocide. The only clue so far was from Jaygarcia, stating that the reason buccaneers had to go was because they believed in the sun god and his intentions to... liberate? Nothing more. If the treasure one piece is a meta joke, Imu's hatred towards buccaneers would practically be that they "hated the manga" or something along those lines.
Adding further skepticism towards the result of the theory, that'd make Imu the representation of one piece haters. Symbolism aside, which author in their right mind would raise such a middle finger? With a franchise that's selling millions? Don't go playing the "it's ridiculous enough to be true", you the reader and i both know that's not how one piece will end.
I'm willing to believe that the treasure one piece is the original transcript of the song binks' sake. OR the original story that gave inspiration to the song. I bet Nika was a delivery boy for the real Binks' real sake.

I cried for how beautiful it was. It is all brilliant (just like the first two parts of your mega theory), and the entirety of it is consistent to the story. It's definitely the best I've seen and the most probable outcome for the story out of all others.
PS: you should probably make a playlist out of this 3 video series on your UA-cam page, and maybe edit your home video on your channel to a more recent one like this one or the first of the three, that could be cool.
