    I was trying to decide between CAA and a couple other downtown hotels. I was slightly leaning towards CAA until you mentioned the thermostat issue. My wife and I sleep comfortably at indoor temps below 68 degrees. Thanks for the informative video!

    Chicagoan here! My wife and I hang out here quite a bit so was excited to see it featured on the channel.
    If you ever return, you should check out the speakeasy tucked away inside Athletic Association! It's called The Milk Room and it is a hidden 8 seater bar that was a real speakeasy during Prohibition used by the wealthy members of the Athletic Association. It's located between the lounge area and the game room, off to the right.
    Also, the Cherry Circle Room is another restaurant in the very back of the property, beyond the game room and they have the best french onion soup in the city!

    Looks like a great property with some outstanding food and good fun! I noticed the Peloton bike in the gym... my girlfriend loves having Pelotons available on our trips, and having a gym + Peloton bike is a huge plus for us - which is why we end up staing in a lot of Westin properties, hah! Thanks for the breakdown Brandon. Glad you and your family had a nice trip!

      We had a great time! I saw the Pelotons as well. The amount of time you saw me film on the gym was the exact amount of total time I spent in the gym on the trip. Always happens to me. Love Chicago!!!

    Headed to Chi town this July with the family. Planning on staying at Hyatt Place river north. I’m intrigued by the athletic club but your review of the room gives me pause. I like to cold in the room and worry in the summer it might be warm. Also I can just see my kids busting there heads after getting out of shower!

      In the summer the cooling will be turned on so that’s a different story. It’s days when the heat is on that causes me the issues. The shower door is ridiculous. That being said, I think this is a Greta place for families. I really enjoy it.

    Thanks for the video. My wife and I are headed to a Cubs game in Sept. We used a Hilton certificate at the Waldorf Astoria for a 95,000 point Deluxe King with a fireplace ($972 🤑) throw in $50 in Diamond food/bev credits and it’s a win! Love the points game

      This was from Giordanos. Its our kids favorite pizza place on planet Earth so we ended up eating there twice. Big fans of Chicago and of the location and amenities of this Hyatt property. We will do resort/hotel reviews on every stop we make this year so stay tuned. Thanks for watching!

    How did you get the night stay passes?!

    • @thebrandonboydshow
      @thebrandonboydshow  2 роки тому

      There are several ways. First, for the first 30 tier qualifying nights you earn, you get a category 1-4 certificate. You can also get a category 1-7 certificate by earning 60 tier qualifying nights.
      The World of Hyatt card is an easy way to earn a free night. Simply renew your world of Hyatt personal credit card and you’ll earn a category 1-4 certificate every year. Another easy way to earn a free night os to get the “brand explorer” award. This means you have stayed at five different brands within the Hyatt system. Lots of ways to earn!

    Holy shit it took you 9 minutes to get to the room tour. 💀

    • @thebrandonboydshow
      @thebrandonboydshow  Рік тому

      Gotta get the setup in before the main feature. Also, I include time stamps in the description so people can skip around to what they want. Some people like the room tours, some like to see the amenities, some like the food and surrounding activities. It’s all in there at some point. One thing that is consistent in all of my reviews is they are 100% honest reviews of places I paid for with my own money/points. It’s amazing how many places reach out to us to stay for FREE in hopes that we’ll in turn give them a positive review. Not how I roll. The reason I avoid that is because the entire purpose is to give people that are paying their hard earned money/points an honest perspective before throwing cash down themselves for a stay.
      I do appreciate the feedback and hope you check out future review videos. Also, if you have any questions about this property or any other, feel free to comment or send me a message at thebrandonboydshow@gmail.com. Would love to help!
