Excellent work and upload Carla, wishing you the best from Australia, im a minimalist now, ive cleared out everything I dont use or probably wont require, Ive got no dust gatherers, scan all my photos and documents onto a hard drive, with a copy elsewhere, no TV I just watch stuff on ipad, one chair to sit on, bed, car, some dear books, dvds that I love as keepsakes and I survive on just essentials, no impulse buys as I need to step back and ask myself if I really need this or that item. I have to say I can breate again, all the stuff and things are gone, I'm happier than Ive ever been and havent missed or regretted moving anything on, even stuff that may be considered sentimental I havent had a days regret. I understand this isnt for a majority of people, for me its a mind set of living my life with intention.
I enjoyed your post and I’ve done the same and feel happier. Carla always says “you do you” and it’s so true. Everyone has a different way of living and it’s good to be content with our choices. I’ve still got a few boxes of stuff that I’m selling on eBay. It is very satisfying to see it get gone.
@@Joan-COYI Thanks Joan, wishing the very best on your journey, such a thrill to see things gone that have just been around the house gathering dust for years.
I need to do this! I look at the junk in my house, and am overwhelmed. Breaking it down to get rid of 10 items / day might just work for me. On another note - I really like your haircut & color right now. It's very becoming on you!
Hi Carla, getting rid of 10 items a day is a great idea but if you have already started clearing out a drawer why not finish the entire drawer and then organize it. At least you have your 10 items but why not finish what you started and have 1 organized space.
My OCD means I'd have to complete one drawer, or cupboard, at a time. I've just completed the whole families wardrobes. Next I complete room by room....The European Health card was still valid, until it had expired .Then you need to reapply for a Global one.
I think European Health Cards are still valid until they run out, then you apply for a Global one. Love your videos Carla but love your sense of humour more than anything!
You really did speed ahead with getting rid of more than 10 a day!!! Thank you for the motivation. I get very overwhelmed & this is so much more manageable than trying to do it all at once!! 💕 xxx
What a great video. I need to do the same. 10 a day making it 300 total is so doable. 3 bags of clothes going to the air ambulance charity in the morning. Door step pick up. I will count that as 10 must be at least 30 items in the bags. Then tommorow will find 10 more. Will continue on until I feel the house is a bit more sorted. Ha ha this might take more than 30 days 😂
That's the only place left to declutter in my house. We're planning to move house, this year. I've been decluttering stuff, so I KNOW everything that's packed is wanted. The rest has been disposed of. My husband is in charge of the Junk drawer, I've no clue what half the things, in there, even are. So, that's his job......
We are moving house and had to get rid of SO much stuff! I probably will get rid of more when I unpack too!! (We only moved 4.5 yrs ago! How did we accumulate SO much stuff!!!???) I think if I get rid of 1-3 things per box that I open, that may help with it being overwhelming.
Ha ha every single one of my dogs toys is straggly and without stuffing - embarrassing but they love them. When they get a new toy which invariably has a squeak their mission is to get that squeak out by any means 😂 you’ve done well with your decluttering xx
Hi Carla, I found this very motivating and stopped the video half way through to find 10 things on my bedside table thing! May not repeat tomorrow but still 10 less items of crap in this house! Thank you ❤
Hi Carla! I really appreciate you sharing videos like this and also your Biscoff cheesecake video, delicious 😋 It makes me feel better about our house too as we have a home of autistics and it’s difficult for them to get rid of stuff! 🤦🏻♀️ they can be hoarders, but we feel like this year everyone is ready to start decluttering, even if it’s only a few things each day 😊
Hi Carla, gosh I do enjoy a declutter 😊 I’ve been on a mission this past couple of years and still get a good feeling when I find empty drawers and cupboards. It’s crazy how much ‘stuff’ we accumulate over time, it all weighs us down I’m sure of it. Also it’s helped me with my ‘need’ to shop, now I really do think twice before buying anything. I ask myself if I want to find somewhere to store it,do I want to have to keep dusting it😂 and will I still want it in 6months. I also found that I didn’t need more storage I just needed less stuff! Great video Carla. 😊😊
Thank you for this video! Definitely needed this motivation--&-Must do this too!!sending caring thoughts❤to you& your Mum.from windy Los Angeles, & constant evacuation warnings-- about 20 miles from Pasadena/Alta dena- - here in sothern California.
The European health card thingy has been replaced the UK global health insurance card (GHIC now instead of EHIC) which is still free and does the same thing. Not sure which one you chucked.
I have some drawers full of random rubbish that are just like yours. Must have a sort out. Caroline did something similar some time ago, and I started off with great gusto, but sadly I forgot about it, and the rubbish continues to accumulate!
Carla, this is brilliant. I feel this is doable! I’m off to start after this video. Xx

Enjoy the video your makeup looks lovely🎉
Ten a day makes 300 items injust one month! Sounds great. Imagine in 3 months. 😍🤩👏👏👏👏🖐🇵🇹
Love this video and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series x
Thank you Carla you have inspired now today .🥰🥰
What a great idea Carla .x.

Hi Carla guess what I am adding to my daily cleaning thank you so much
Loved this thanks Carla.
Now you've inspired me to sort out some cupboards and drawers, I have been decluttering for a while now but there's much more I can get rid of!
Good luck ❤ love your hair x

Have to say this sounds best way to go

Hi Carla, i tried decluttering before Christmas, gave up when i got the lurgy.....you've just reminded me to get back to it lol ! X😊
Great job so far Carla, looking forward to the next episodes in the series!
About 7 weeks ago, kiara and Arthur had 3 puppies. 2 are girls and a boy. So on Tuesday I got rid of Stitch (his name).
Yes, I need to make a start on decluttering too.
Ha ha every single one of my dogs toys is straggly and without stuffing - embarrassing but they love them. When they get a new toy which invariably has a squeak their mission is to get that squeak out by any means 😂 you’ve done well with your decluttering xx
Inspiring me to start decluttering each weekend
Well done so far. Are the other householders on board with it too?
Well done on the decluttering. I’ve got a linen cupboard that definitely needs sorting out.
Hi Carla, I found this very motivating and stopped the video half way through to find 10 things on my bedside table thing! May not repeat tomorrow but still 10 less items of crap in this house! Thank you ❤
10 a day seems too easy but it's a start.😊 Imagine if the entire household participated. Nothing like a good declutter.😜
It’s surprising what takes space in a drawer/cupboard that is never used! X

That was fun 😊
I am inspired to get at my “ everything “ drawer 👍🙏🤣

BRAVE MOMMA RIGHT THERE THROWING OLD DOG TOYS… YOUD BEST SLEEP WITH ONE EYE OPEN!!!!!!😂🐕🦺🦮🐕🐶

❤this is great I'm gonna do this as well can I include family members in this 😂
If you can fit them in the bin I don’t see why not 😀
@CarlaJenkins 🤣
❤😊xx
Can’t live without the meat chopper.
Ten items a day isn't enough, just get a black bag and fill it. Keep count though, aim for 1000 items, at least.
❤❤🥰
Put all your product info in a folder then you won't lose them.
I use a big ziplock..
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤xxxxx

Maybe 20 a day! Gosh you have some junk. Best wishes. 🎉
I agree. At that rate, it will take forever, just get a black bag and fill it. Also, charity shops don't want people's rubbish, just bin it.
You were almost a hoarder , you stopped just in time ,we’ll done,
