    "Taasu" is a Wolof word that means a sort of musical poetry. It is done by most Subsaharan African tribes, especially in West Africa. This one is a "Taasu" by the Wolofs people of Senegal, they usually do it in marriage celebrations and other festivities.

    This is taasu. This is exactly how the Seereers taasu (most times even better) Yande Codou Sene is a great example. This woman although speaking Wolof, has to be a Seereer. Thanks ethnolyrical for uploading this.

      She is basically reciting the genealogical tree of the woman. A bunch of names and they place in the family tree.
