    You have the beginning's of a nice rig. You will consider more hp soon and a good fish finder. Good luck!!

      Very observant of you but I didn't take them off, I just forgot to install them initially. Either way, I was running 2 motors and wasn't far from shore so really not that risky. If thats scary to you, you should see how I earn a living haha..Thanks for watching :)

    I own the stryker 380 LX and bought mine in 2016 when stryker was fairly a new company. I love mine and my next one will be the pro

      How has your boat faired? Any patches required? I would like the pro but the weight would be too much for me to manage by myself.

      @@BCMountainLife The boat is in great shape. I made a few amateur errors and had to get it professionally patched in a few spots, but again that was my fault. I have the wooden transom before they revamped the boat with the aluminum transom, no leaks so far on the wooden one though. As for the rpo, I just received it. I purchased the same size as my 380 lx 12'5 feet. so now I have the STRYKER PRO 380 (12’ 5”) INFLATABLE BOAT. It has so many upgrades and lots of bottom protection. I have a electric start honda motor 20 hp i saved up for.

    I had been looking for a video for a long time where you can see an inflatable boat like yours that has a gasoline engine and trolling at the back. Good video, I congratulate you, I'm going to buy some accessories that you show in your video. Greetings from cancun

    I have the 380 Pro Hunter with a 20hp Mercury, it goes 38km/h top speed. Getting a 7 pitch propeller to replace the 9 pitch propeller. Should get a top speed of 42kmph

    I like your set up! I have a little dinghy. Mariner 3. I would like a boat about your size that could fit 4 somewhat comfortably. Looking at the high pressure inflatable floors for comfort kneeling ect. Also looking at the e-propulsion spirit 1 elec brushless motor with lithium battery. Super light quiet, clean reliable and portable. You should look into it. May be a good option. Loose a lot of bulk ect. Can be used for trolling as well. Might be nice for quick easy short trips?

    • @BCMountainLife
      @BCMountainLife  Рік тому

      Thanks! Stryker Boats also makes an inflatable floor for there inflatables, it's super light weight and comfortable for kneeling like you say. Haven't looked too much into the new electric outboards but I'm sure there worth checking out. Always good to have more options for different scenarios when planning your boating adventure.

    Definitely go with a 20 hp! I have the 380 pro and anything less might seem under-powered.

      Hey thanks for watching. Already went with a yamaha 15hp. It performs quite well, planes at just under half throttle. Keep in mind the LX is about 50 lbs lighter then the Pro which makes a big difference.

      Yea, expensive to build I'm sure. Some are metal and like elevators. $$$$$

    • @BCMountainLife
      @BCMountainLife  8 місяців тому +1

      I ended up buying a 15hp yamaha for the boat. A 9.9 should be perfect for fishing (trolling) and cruising with 1-2 people.

    What are those dinghy wheels?

    • @BCMountainLife
      @BCMountainLife  Місяць тому

      They are launching wheels. I purchased them from stryker and mounted myself. I have since purchased the dually wheels which are much better if you will be pulling a heavy setup onto the beach often.

    • @rykehuss3435
      @rykehuss3435 Місяць тому

      @@BCMountainLife Ah I see. I was curious about the brand. I got a pair of Quicklok wheels on mine, though its a much heavier boat. About 700 lbs with the engine. Can still deadlift the nose up, though I would never (or could never) beach it on a shore like that haha. I use a block & tackle to pull it on the beach. Just island hopping. Very handy thing those wheels for a solo boater.

    You are a physio wearing waders on a boat duh what happens if u go over ? Oh yeah they fill with water in seconds

    • @BCMountainLife
      @BCMountainLife  Рік тому +6

      Yes I am aware of the hazards of falling off a boat with waders on. Launching an inflatable boat from a rocky beach in the winter time is why I am wearing waders. This is winter boating in Canada, if I didnt have to get into the water to launch and land the boat, I wouldnt be wearing waders. I thought that was pretty obvious.
