Hey guys! I have been hearing quite a bit about how easy it is to plant and maintain strawberry plants and I am so excited to be adding a few to my garden.
When it comes to planting strawberries, it's important to choose a sunny spot with well-draining soil. You can start by preparing the soil with compost to ensure that the plants have enough nutrients to grow.
If you’re buying strawberry plants from your garden center, you can generally find them as either roots starts, or already grown plants. Today I will be planting a little bit of both. when planting your strawberries, make sure to leave a bit of space for them to grow, spread out, and allow for easy harvesting.
To keep your strawberries healthy and productive, make sure to water them regularly and remove any weeds or dead leaves that may inhibit growth. Adding straw or mulch, can also help them retain moisture, and slowly add nutrients to the soil.
I can’t believe how easy it can be to grow your own fruits and produce at home, it seems as though so few people do it. If you have a love for strawberries, and are feeling adventurous, pick up a few plants and start your own strawberry garden. Once you taste the first sweet fruits of your labor, it will all be worth it.

Strawberries truly do grow like weeds, but a good weed! Great work Dan!

They have grown themselves for two years in a row. They are still sprouting like weeds even in October.
