Thank you for reaction to my favorite song Clang! Very happy! I actually went to see this Zepp Tokyo concert, but the set list was amazing! I was overwhelmed by my favorite songs from the openning to the ending! And on the way, there was and an acoustic version of Puzzle and Anemone by Saiki and Kanami, and it was the great gig. I mean it's as obvious as "the sky is blue" but the fact that Saiki is an alto and not a soprano, and has such power in a relatively low register really just is the icing on a the cake. (Easy, Mincho!)
There are sooooo many great songs in their catalog that you won't be running out of tunes for a while. Clang is another great rocker which gets little attention. There are never enough words to reiterate that BAND-MAID are Awesome. Peace. 8.12

(Kanami is the lead guitarist and the band's songwriter, and she does all the tapping to my knowledge. Miku is the rhythm guitarist, vocalist and primary lyricist.)

The Ladies have about 118 current songs. However, there are various live versions of many of their songs which take the music even higher. According to my playlist with all the live versions I have 249 songs currently by Band Maid. Including, Studio, Lives and some Acoustic versions. And when there new release hits late this year I'll have even more 😁

Kanami is the tapping virtuoso. Miku is her student. But who knows, one of these days maybe Miku might be doing a tapping part. She has worked hard over the past nine years developing her guitar skills, and Kanami has recently stated that on certain fast runs, Miku can outplay her, and that is a high hurdle indeed. Every time I think I've found a new favourite Band-Maid song (a regular event!), I return to "Clang" for a "mental play-off"... and "Clang" usually edges it.
This is an earlier live rendition (based on the clothes). Today, especially in smaller venues, this song would seemingly be one of their best as when you can hear the crowd singalong it's exponentially better as a song. There's a recording on YT that's just a phone recording from Vladimir Chupin (the legend) and even then you can feel the crowd energy from this song. It's a great call and response. I'm hoping more than most of their other songs that they play this one this fall during their tour.

It was Kanami. Miku doesn't really tap, and certainly didn't do any leads back then. It's easy to tell. Kanami has bird inlays on the fretboard of her PRS, and Miku is a bird, a pigeon. But seriously, the Zamaitus only has dot inlays on their fretboards. And I wouldn't say 'Clang' is filler, it's just older. When they were purging songs from UA-cam ahead of the DVD release, it didn't make the cut. But lots of great songs didn't.
This is a perfect way to recover from too much work, a Band-Maid recharge.
