The one thing that amazes me about Saiki, (one out of many things), she's up on that stage for over 2 hours dancing and jumping around on pointy 5 inch high heal shoes! How the f&%$......she's not human...lol. Love her!
When Kanami looks back over her shoulders at her bandmates and they all cheer her on,I think, summarizes the beauty of BAND MAID. These five amazing women have stuck together for a long time and been through a lot together and it shows with how they care for each other. Bandmates, friends, sisters- what a wonderful gift to each other and us.
Because they genuinely care for their fans. Proof ? Just have a look at Vladimir's video from Hamburg : ua-cam.com/video/__1th7ctgMo/v-deo.html. These are the two last songs of a 2h concert concert in exhausting heat and see how Kanami bows to the audience and greets a young girl in the audience at 8mn36s. Tell me it's not genuine kindness.
Thanks for being with me at that show, Ryan! Seeing BAND-MAID in these small venues is truly a life-changing experience, you are right. When I was in Japan, I was able to find a place to stand only at the very back of the hall. In Kobe, literally in the toilet. And that's why I never went to any big concerts usually. I saw Ozzy Osbourne and Manowar at the arenas here in Moscow, and that was not a very memorable experience. When the hall is big like this, I know now that I should better take it as if I'm sitting in front of my PC screen at home. It's impossible to engage with the band when they look like ants on the horizon. It may be a nice experience, if the sound is good, though. I think Budokan will be like this, but I will go there no matter what nevertheless. And I hope they will organize a recording! I need that Blu-Ray in my collection, "BAND-MAID in Budokan." I will probably not be able to attend their OKYUJIs in the United States. Please, please, organize a good recording, someone! I used just a phone, Huawei P20 Pro, professional cameras were not allowed. But all the modern top-tier phones provide pretty good concert recording, I believe. So, anyone with a good expensive phone should record this show from start to finish. Nobody knows if we're going to see BAND-MAID in Europe this year, so, you are our only hope 🙏
@@RyanMear Just rewatched your Melkweg reaction to Don't you tell ME + DICE, and now this one. Oh, so many nostalgic feelings... Hope to see you in the States this October. I'll be in Washington, in Philadelphia, in American Dreams, and in Chicago. Well, I hope to be there. Given the circumstances, nothing can be guaranteed, but I will leave no stone unturned to go to the US this Fall...
I learned in Old Mr B's interview with Vlad that Vlad had only known about Band-Maid for about 2 months and followed them all over Europe, and thankyou Ryan for your insight into our favorite bands music.
I saw them playing in Paris within the same european tour. It was during a heat wave which had lasted over the week during which BM had concert dates in London(June 22), Paris(June 23), Bochum(June 24), Hamburg(June 26). In Paris, it was 39° celsius still at 8pm in the concert hall and they played during 2 hours straight with an incredible energy. Everybody was all drenched in sweat and happy. In Vladimir's videos of Hamburg concert, you will be able to see how Kanami seemed somewhat exhausted but nevertheless still performing like ever. These ladies pack so much energy, it's unbeliveable.
Thank you Vladimir Chupin for all that great videos of Band Maid! Thank you Ryan for reacting to Vlad's video. Not to many people react to these videos.
When someone asks if they are a real band, I show them the Kanami solo + Moratorium video. I like how you can see just how much the band loves to perform. When Kanami bends backwards and MISA, Miku and Akane get into her line of sight and wave at her, one of the best moments in any live show ever.
Clang was a blast at this concert. When the main riff kicked in, my ears blew away. Had bad earplugs during that concert, so decided to enjoy it without them. But I was so close to Kanami's monitor that I was sooo deaf at that concert xD
@@RyanMear No, we were about at the height of the camera, further to the right, wanted to see more of Kanami (because guitar player). If you manage to go to one of their concerts, you're in for a treat. Was the best concert I was ever at. And that includes the crowd interaction. If you followed some of their live gigs, you may have noticed the "Misa, Misa, Misa" that often comes up. At this concert, my friends started the same for Akane instead and got the whole crowd into demanding a drum solo - which they then delivered, that was great of her
@@DarthHunter5 Good point. The B-M crowd is just a cool, friendly, respectful and enthusiastic crowd … at every show I was, which is an additional plus of B-M concerts. So thanks to all you cool Madiacs out there too.
where Miku comes in in the vocal is how the song actually is..its one of those instances where she almost "mimics" Saiki and its easily missed(think freezer type exchange of vocal). and yeah how many other bands give so much in just a single song, everysong and seeing the joy on their faces when the crowd gets involded and how much they truelly love when the fans are singing alson with them..they are a gift that keeps giving
Ahh...the eternal struggle of trying to explain why fans think this band is so good. I think Champ of Medium got closest to putting it succinctly when he said something like, "You know when you're sharing a song with someone and you're like, 'I can't wait to see their face when it gets to *that part* . But with Band-Maid, the whole song is *that part* ."
Fun reaction. One thing I would to your list of what makes Band Maid great is they are great performers. They really know how to engage and work a crowd. I have yet to see them but their concerts seem like a big party.
I was there - exhausting heat and yet they played two hours with only a few breaks (including one I'll never forget!). Please believe me, and it's not because I'm a huge fan: it was one of the best concerts of my life (top 5, and since the late seventies I've seen tons of bands and artists).
I discovered Band Maid a year ago, it's definitely my favorite band. My goal in life now is to see them in concert. When you see the videos of Vladimir or others, it makes you want to do it even more. And I'm a little envious of those who have already been able to do it. As Ryan say, everything about this band is awesome. Especially when you see the attention they have with their fans, right doc? I guess you kept the bag that held the presents for them in a showcase.
Man, I’ll never forget seeing them live at the end of 2019. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life! Fingers crossed you and all the other reactors get to see them soon too!
I am so jealous of all those lucky and visionary folks that have seen these amazing ladies in concert, live! Fingers crossed for 2022, please let that happen!
"CLANG" is in my top 10 BAND-MAID songs. My favorite moment of the song (if I'm not counting the absolutely amazing main guitar riff) is the second part of the first verse when Kanami is using the octaves and Saiki & Miku are singing in harmony 😍 If you had a chance, you really should listen to "CLANG" at Zepp Tokyo 2018. I love that performance 👌🏻 Are you going to give a chance to DOLL$BOXX on your channel? Starting with the song "Take My Chance" is very appropriate given the context 😏
Such a joyful moment to see whenever Band-Maid rocking the stage... I've never stop keep on smiling...idk why...but bring happiness in me😚🕊️🕊️ never forget the moment seeing them "live"..and wanted to see them once again..
they actually play very loud in concert, but with great clarity of sounds, you can hear Misa coming out of the hall floor too, and Akane breaking your bones, the sound quality is very good in Band-Maid concerts, but too much power to be recorded by small devices. Especially if you are in the front rows, you will be there in a storm of sound and good music.
I didn't find this concert very loud, in fact for my taste it could have been much louder. But nowadays that's the rule anyway and ears' health is important (in the past, you sometimes had you ears ringing for three days after an AC/DC concert!). Very good balance and clarity yes.
@@realdocloco I agree. Maybe it's the sound system at the Zeche. I was there in February 2020 when Ningen Isu played and the volume was similar. I know you would have liked Hamburg better.
never seen a bassist tap before (when I 1st seen this vid a while ago). MISA is awesome! ♥ I'm SO hoping to go see them if they play in oHIo! *fingers & toes crossed!*
I feel you about the small venue. I hope and wish for them to get so popular to play a arena but some of my best memories are from going to small venues and bars. It's fun to be in a crowd of only 60 people and everyone knows all the words.
no joke guys this song live on the zepp dvds takes it to a new level the cd i sgood but hte guitasr are not where near as heard hitting in the mix this song and the metal riffs are truly epic on that rare dvd my god
great! Clang and Moratorium are my fav, i even put Clang as my ringtone ;-) here's another reason/checklist on why Band-Maid is the best band: they keep improving! i love how Miku and Saiki doing harmonics in their songs XD
Ryan I don't usually leave comments but I do watch and love your reactions and share your love for bandmaid !👍❤ just purchased your shut up t shirt yesterday! Love all these women and would love to see more shirts from the rest of the members of this awesome band! Akane especially!🤩🥰🙂😁😉👌
Thanks for participating in the comment section😄. Thanks for buying a shirt and I may need to get some drawn up for the rest of the band....I was hoping I would come up with something clever...... not yet LOL
Fingers crossed for Band-Maid live in 2022! If I would have lived in the US I would definitely have hooked up with you guys! Oh, regarding Miku doing singing while Saiki is doing the sustained note, that is on purpose and they are doing it in other live concerts (and on the album also I think).
Two of their older songs but still among my favorites. That funky, heavy groove both of them have, nothing like it. And Kanami! The sweetest, goofiest, most innocent girl imaginable, and then she gets on stage and turns into a monster. No words are adequate.
Nice!. I love this intro, MISA and Kanami having a lot of fun. The conversations between the bass and the guitar in Band Maid are always awesome and always masterfully supported by Akane so... Shut up, Kanami and MISA are chating!
Thank you Ryan for this. I've stayed away from most fan-vids because they are usually positioned so that the bass and drums drowns out everything else. This is better. I avidly listened to music in the 60s and 70s but dropped away after that. Being stuck at home, UA-cam videos brought me back. Three "B"s who put their music up online and who also put out DVDs of concerts are my main earworms. Band-Maid, Bonamassa, and Beth--Hart. Joe and Beth for when I want to listen to blues and Band-Maid for everything else I could ever want to hear. I so love those five wonderful, talented young women. I pray they have long, happy lives.
Ryan, what would you have said if someone came to you a year ago and told you your new guitar hero would be a tiny Japanese lady in a maid outfit? Funny how things turn out sometimes 😀
I wondered a few times, what if someone had told me long ago, when I was teenage boy growing up with the rock gods such as Cream, the Who, Hendrix (my first concert), Zeppelin, etc, that one day in the far future my favorite band would be 5 Japanese women dressed as maids, well I would have died laughing at the thought. Now I will say move aside, these rock goddesses deserve a seat at the throne.
@@fedogma8407 Join the crowd! Same here, what with being 73 years old! LOL One thing is sure: thanks to that music I feel unreasonably young! LOL again!
Some people want to know about the concerts before the pandemic, so I'll write about my experiences. The concerts that left the deepest impression on me were the ones in Akasaka BLITZ, Yokohama BAY Hall and Shibuya Line Cube. One thing that can only be experienced at concerts is the overwhelming bass appeal of AKANE and MISA, like an earth tremor or an earthquake. It's a bass that will vibrate your body in a way that no home audio system can, and once you've experienced it, you'll never forget it. AKANE's drumming was like a volcanic eruption, not a wild animal. And the five members are much more beautiful and cute than they look on camera. SAIKI in particular is divine. The diversity of age, race and ethnicity of the fans in the concert hall was also astonishing. At the concert in Shibuya, I witnessed that there were fans from many different countries. For example... A girl of no more than 10 years old, dressed as a maid, accompanied by her mother. An old man with a bald head and a BAND-MAID t-shirt who looks like he's over 70, let alone 60. A young woman in a maid's costume. An old lady with silvery hair. A macho-looking man in a maid's uniform. A man with a turban on his head. A Muslim woman wearing a hijab. A white man with blond hair... I can still vividly remember being amazed by the sheer diversity of their fan base. I think this is proof of the incredible diversity of their music. Men and women of all races, ethnicities and religions, from infants as young as 10 years old to old men and women over 70 years old, waving their hands in the air and keeping rhythm to the intense and passionate music, is bizarre but moving. And there is a special gift at the concert. At the concert there is a special gift: an upgraded version of one of their songs, a special version for the concert and an acoustic version. The band's CD's are only a sample or a guide to the songs, which they say evolve with each concert, and this is what you see. And it's great. And then there are all the happenings. In MIKU's "Curse Time", the curse of "Moe Moe Kween" will be chanted by a group of teenage girls to an old man in his seventies! Imagine that. Isn't that just delightfully humorous...! In addition to this, KANAMI plays the guitar in a drunken and excited state, almost out of control, and performs a ritual to celebrate the members' birthdays. It's a shame that we can't see such a great live concert. We hope that DeepL has translated the intentions correctly.
I think kanami has high level guitar play skills. but skills and techniques is means for her, not purpose, making great songs (for you and me, maidiacs) is paramount. I hope kanami keeps smile and enjoy.
Why did Band-Maid become my favorite band of all times, just the point you made, they check all my boxes and a few boxes I didn't know I had. They are all amazing musicians, great singers, the gap, beautiful maids, awesome presonalities, their friendship, their crowd participation, I could go on....... I love Band-Maid so much I plan to go to Japan whenever they get to play at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo.
Clang was the first song I ever heard by Band Maid, and it intrigued me, but it was Moratorium and the "Slaves & Bulldozers" breakdown in the middle that hooked me.
Moratorium is still my favourite Band-Maid song for all the things you mentioned - bas, drums, guitar solo, great vocals, and audience participation. It has everything! How many bands go hard right with the sound right before a complete let-down where the crowd provides the singing to fill in the gap? Then they kick it right up again. This is why they are so loved!
Thanks for the reaction Ryan. I appreciate it. There are sooooooo many great fan videos available. I hope you react to some of them and share with us again. Here's to hoping that these ladies get to tour and we all can experience this greatness first hand.
Vladimir the unsung Chronist of awesome B-M shows. Thanks for that Vlad. I‘ve been there front row, Kanami side. What a blast of a show, I guess my grin of joy was visible all the way down from northern Germany down south to my home in 🇨🇭😃 I followed them this year from London to Paris and from Bochum to Hamburg, every show was a total blast. Can’t wait to see them again.
Vladimir Chupin's videos are going to be more valuable as time goes by.... because the days of Band-Maid playing very small venues like this are (just about) over. Vlad's content will be part of a historical record. They will be like the "Cavern" videos of the Beatles from 1961. Someday there might be documentaries on these ladies that include Vlad's stuff. I hope our man Vlad understands how grateful we all are to him.
I saw their first Los Angeles show with about 298 others .. the energy in that little room going back and forth from the stage to the crowd was just a tsunami of energy than ran through the crowd ..it was something I have never experienced before...I've seen the giants of yesteryear in concert....now to be truthful and without real comparison I didn't see those giants in a 300 occupancy venue either like I was fortunate enough to see Bandmaid. Let me Montell Jordan you THAT was the absolute best show I've been too ... I will put them right in front of the great Robert Goulet.....yeah I know... I left that show drenched and with the horseist....(is that a word) voice from singing the loudest and most unrecognizable Japanese language i know and I don't even speak Japanese. I am exhausted not from being in a moshpit but from just rocking out with everyone. I didn't know at that time that I was 🤏 close to rupturing my Achilles. I end up in a walking boot for six months because of that show.. that crowd.. and that freakin Band. I haven't stopped smiling yet from that show 4 or 5 years ago. I clicked on Saikis face on the thumbnail for Real Existence one day. Two days later I find out they are playing in LA Two weeks and 1 day later I'm in a walking boot from said Rock show by Bandmaid I was at all 3 L.A shows and will be at any other show I can make. I love this band They truly make me a happier person. See you in LA.... cmon where do you want to go to Texas and yell Yeehaw...or do you want to come to LA to see it all. And I Tell you what...you look so much like my friend Porno Scott that if you come to LA you hunt me down and you can chill at my spot if you need a place to stay I am a drummer from yesteryear back in the Glam rock days we can have an impromtu jam session at my pad. But no Band Maid covers....unless its ...Gion Cho ....Yeah right.. let me ask you At times can't you hear just a little Polson in their song Rock in me. I can even bring Faster Pussycat into that mix on a couple other songs. Anyways I showed Porno Scott one of your reactions.....and his mouth never shut. He said fuck....he's even got my mannerisms down too...fucken guy Wherever you go to see these unbelievable ladies will be the best show you ever went to or have ever been to.
Man, it's cool hearing about people's experiences at the live shows! Thanks for the invite, I will go where I need to go to see them! Even if I have to meet a fellow called Porno Scott 😆 jk, but yes, you can hear so much music in their music, I think that's part of what makes them amazing.
Ryan! Greetings from the old geezer in Shizuoka with a Dragon smoldering behind my back! Wladimir Chupin will stay in Band Maid's history records for providing these very important videos in impossible conditions! Actually, Kanami's solo in Moratorium is almost tame compared to the same one she performed in Hamburg! I doubt they will be able to repeat such performances in front of such small audiences. That is why we have to cherish these rare moments that I am sure Band Maid themselves watch over and over! A BIG thank you for this reaction! Best regards, Robert-Gilles
Well said Robert. Vladimir has captured these awesome moments for all posterity. Dyk he once replaced himself with MISA's hip flask in her pocket but she discovered him just before the Maids came on stage. He'll do anything to try & give us the best footage possible.😏
You guys in the U.S...... you're all so lucky..... have a great Band-Maid 2022 people. I hope they head my way one day (I'm in South-East Asia.... so near yet so far...).
Indeed! I'm hoping they might pop across the border at some point - the mighty Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver is on the LiveNation circuit (Dragonforce is slotted there in March) and would be a perfect venue for them at slightly under 1k capacity. Scandal just announced a show here in support of a new album at The Imperial, which has a concert capacity of between 320 and 700, depending which website you read...
I've seen this before, I wish Misa would play a few more things like this. Quick, give her a Tony Levin stick bass! I think there's another one out there with an even longer intro. I like these kinds of videos even though they're not professinal because the band seems more "honest" in their reactions and interaction to the audience and each other. I place Kanami up there with Steve Howe of Yes in his heyday as far as innovative guitar playing because no once sounded like him and he didn't sound like anyone else. She's that same way to me, just different, GOOD different. If you watch Misa in the background she's really into it.
They have been my #1 band for awhile. Nothing compares to them. The only group that would come close would be The Winery Dogs. But then you have 3 insane musicians that can play anything. Band Maid has shown me what a band should be. It's not just about one individual that makes the band. It's about the whole group. If you took one of them away or replaced one it wouldn't be the same. These ladies put the smile on my face everyday. I can't remember the last time I felt this happy about music.
This is why Maidiacs love Band-Maid - they love one another and playing their music as much as we love watching them love one another and playing their music. They are the best progressive hard rock band on the planet, but also the most loveable, the most geeky, and the most humble. It also helps that they melt your face and rock the house down. Both of these songs prove that! EDIT: I'm flying to Tokyo in two weeks to see the Zepp tour shows. From Perth, Australia. I've never done this for any other band, and I don't think I'd do it for any other band in the future. That's how much I want to see Band-Maid live.
My favorite Band-Maid song? I have so many I can't make up my mind, I have more than a few from every album. Maybe my favorite song is the one that I'm listening to at the moment. Moratorium is great, so is Clang..... no I really can't make up my mind.
If ever there was a band that deserved to make it big…. and I mean big like Billie Eilish or BTS…. it is Band-Maid. The best, and HARDEST WORKING, band in the world.
Nice! Two of my faves that get close to daily viewings (on the william² site, usually) Thanks also to Vladimir for some stellar work and for sharing it with us.
off topic but i gotta thank you ryan, yesterday i was watching your Manners reaction and was curious about Clutch, i listened to one song and now i'm completely in love with their sound, really thankfull for the recommendation
Hell yeah! That's one of my main goals is to get as many people as I can into more they never heard! ( AND getting them to check out my original stuff) Clutch is AWESOME
@@RyanMear i might check out your original stuff, i love hearing underground artists, i already know you have great taste so your music probably reflects that, btw, like you stated in one video, BAND-MAID also changed the way i hear music, that's one of the reasons why they're my absolute favorite band now, they made me realize how much i love rock and metal, i was pretty disappointed with music until i heard them, i don't think that's something common for a 21 years old
I enjoy a lot of the fan cams of Band Maid, and Vlad has some of the best. The sound isn't great but it is authentic. If you're already familiar with the songs the joy is watching the band perform without camera cuts and edits. In "Moratorium" Saiki is as animated as I've ever seen her. Likewise Misa in "Clang", though she may be a couple of toots in by that stage of the concert :). I like "Clang", I wish it was on their official channel. Thanks Ryan and Vlad!
Well I have never seen bass tapping before is it common? Very cool song another wonderful and informational reaction thank you be well ( definitely getting your kanami.t shirt ) ps they will definitely come to the Chicago area Rosemont theater would be good that's where I saw scandal 2015 they were my band unit I saw thrill while was 2 days after the concert it was all over for me band maid for life because they arethat good

Kind of wish band maid would make another song like Love,Passion,Matador or Summer Drive. Those are a completely different style and very fun to listen to
Thanks for this reaction! Seeing BAND-MAID live, even in a recording, really brings out another side to them. I can only imagine the atmosphere at one of their shows. The intensity, energy, and connection they have with the audience. Feeling the thumping in your chest from Akane's drum assault, Misa's bass, Saiki's dulcet voice, Miku's personality and charisma, and of course, the maestro herself, Kanami's earth shattering solos!! From their studio recordings it's obvious to me Kanami's a virtuoso. But I had NO IDEA just how insanely talented she is until I saw this live solo! She's obviously much more held back in recordings. But the demon's fully Unleashed (!!!!!) when she goes live. From my untrained eyes and ears, she belongs right up there with all the greatest guitarists. I'm still speechless after seeing that. Wow...
I just hope they safely make it to the US and complete the tour for the great fans there. And of course Japan next😋 I just won the ticket lottery for Nemophila's Tokyo show, I hope I didn't use all of my luck. It will be a hell of a lottery if BAND-MAID doesn't choose Budokan (or similar size) for their venue in Tokyo😅
rewatching this after their US tour and smiling knowing that your wish to be able to not only see them but in a small venue such as this came true. hope you got to be at the rail in front of Kanami (that's where i was in San Diego) at least one of the shows
Yes, we hope BM will do their US tour. However, these Covid variants keep popping up & can pose a threat not only to BM but to the venue crowds, as well as at airports. Some people I know in other towns that I never thought could get hit by this virus have now been hit.
Ryan you enlightens me and others about the musical qualities of BM. I love them, but I can’t appreciate their music for my musical talents are close to nil. But listening you I began to understand the real quality of this band.

"Hey Mincho, can you give a speech before we kick into Moratorium?"

This is what makes them so one of a kind.
I love that it doesn’t matter how crap the crowd sings, they just absolutely love the interaction.
Because they genuinely care for their fans. Proof ? Just have a look at Vladimir's video from Hamburg : ua-cam.com/video/__1th7ctgMo/v-deo.html. At this concert, my friends started the same for Akane instead and got the whole crowd into demanding a drum solo - which they then delivered, that was great of her
That's great.... what I would expect from a BAND-MAID crowd👍
So well said, mate!
That little breakdown is what hooked me a few years ago. Would love to see them go full doom for a song or two.
💯% correct 🤙🏼
Fun reaction. One thing I would to your list of what makes Band Maid great is they are great performers. They really know how to engage and work a crowd. I have yet to see them but their concerts seem like a big party.
Great point, yes!
Clang is just amazing. Very underrated song.
I was there - exhausting heat and yet they played two hours with only a few breaks (including one I'll never forget!). Please believe me, and it's not because I'm a huge fan: it was one of the best concerts of my life (top 5, and since the late seventies I've seen tons of bands and artists).
I agree Doc, I've seen some awesome shows but none have ever given me the same feeling as watching B-M live :)
That's great! I love hearing from the people that were there!
Same goes to me..the best ever😚🤘🤘
I discovered Band Maid a year ago, it's definitely my favorite band. My goal in life now is to see them in concert. When you see the videos of Vladimir or others, it makes you want to do it even more. And I'm a little envious of those who have already been able to do it.
As Ryan say, everything about this band is awesome.
Especially when you see the attention they have with their fans, right doc? I guess you kept the bag that held the presents for them in a showcase.
@@johnplayerspecial554 Not showcased, but secured on the Band-Maid shelve for sure. Precious memories.
Such effective use of contrast all over the place. Dirty, nasty solo into a little clean guitar singalong is pretty cool.
My favorite moment of the song (if I'm not counting the absolutely amazing main guitar riff) is the second part of the first verse when Kanami is using the octaves and Saiki & Miku are singing in harmony 😍
If you had a chance, you really should listen to "CLANG" at Zepp Tokyo 2018. I love that performance 👌🏻
Are you going to give a chance to DOLL$BOXX on your channel? Starting with the song "Take My Chance" is very appropriate given the context 😏
Such a joyful moment to see whenever Band-Maid rocking the stage... I've never stop keep on smiling...idk why...but bring happiness in me😚🕊️🕊️ never forget the moment seeing them "live"..and wanted to see them once again..
Nice 2fer! Clang and Moratorium are both top 10 songs 🤘🤘
they actually play very loud in concert, but with great clarity of sounds, you can hear Misa coming out of the hall floor too, and Akane breaking your bones, the sound quality is very good in Band-Maid concerts, but too much power to be recorded by small devices.

I'm SO hoping to go see them if they play in oHIo! *fingers & toes crossed!*
I feel you about the small venue. I hope and wish for them to get so popular to play a arena but some of my best memories are from going to small venues and bars. It's fun to be in a crowd of only 60 people and everyone knows all the words.
If you play music this is one of the best band to listen to
when you hear them without the post production, you see just how good they are. My favorite band .

this song live on the zepp dvds takes it to a new level

this song and the metal riffs are truly epic on that rare dvd

great! Clang and Moratorium are my fav, i even put Clang as my ringtone ;-)
here's another reason/checklist on why Band-Maid is the best band: they keep improving!
i love how Miku and Saiki doing harmonics in their songs XD
My ringtone is Akane's drum solo in Bochum. It's funny to see people's faces when an indefinable noise goes off at my place.
Thank you for choosing my favorite song! I Listening to this Mincyos guitar is reminiscent of Akira Takasaki of loudness.
Thanks for buying a shirt and I may need to get some drawn up for the rest of the band....I was hoping I would come up with something clever...... not yet LOL
You will! Your drawings are also great!🤘🤘
Remember the "Frankie Says....." T--shirts from the 80's? I think there should be a "Miku Says Po!" T-shirt.
@@RyanMear Take cover, Akane is drumming!
Calm down, Misa is slapping!
Jump around, Miku is flying!
Kneel down, Saiki is singing!
Fingers crossed for Band-Maid live in 2022! If I would have lived in the US I would definitely have hooked up with you guys! Oh, regarding Miku doing singing while Saiki is doing the sustained note, that is on purpose and they are doing it in other live concerts (and on the album also I think).
That was a great live video.. sure hope to go see them too. Glad Belle made an appearance ❤️
Two of their older songs but still among my favorites. That funky, heavy groove both of them have, nothing like it. And Kanami! The sweetest, goofiest, most innocent girl imaginable, and then she gets on stage and turns into a monster. No words are adequate.
But you said them! LOL
Nice!. I love this intro, MISA and Kanami having a lot of fun. The conversations between the bass and the guitar in Band Maid are always awesome and always masterfully supported by Akane so... Shut up, Kanami and MISA are chating!
9:52 I could sell my soul to the devil and still not be this good.
Haha. Very true. The Devil should sell his soul to the Maids & ask them for forgiveness for being so...um...devilish :)
Good thing about catching this in the morning is I won’t be up until 3 am watching fan cams again. Also short Miku rocks out even harder than usual.
Ryan, what would you have said if someone came to you a year ago and told you your new guitar hero would be a tiny Japanese lady in a maid outfit? Funny how things turn out sometimes 😀
".... a what-now?!"
I know what Ryan would say if you asked him today Arigato doitashimashite :)
@@GaryHolloway-810 You are mixing thank you and you are welcome! LOL! Perfect!
@@fedogma8407 Join the crowd! Same here, what with being 73 years old! LOL
One thing is sure: thanks to that music I feel unreasonably young!
Yes, great point!
Well said, Koji Kun!

This song is one of my longtime favourites 🥰
Moratorium is still my favourite Band-Maid song for all the things you mentioned - bas, drums, guitar solo, great vocals, and audience participation. It has everything! How many bands go hard right with the sound right before a complete let-down where the crowd provides the singing to fill in the gap? Then they kick it right up again. This is why they are so loved!
they are having a US tour this year
Thanks for the reaction Ryan. I appreciate it.
There are sooooooo many great fan videos available.
I hope you react to some of them and share with us again.
Here's to hoping that these ladies get to tour and we all can
experience this greatness first hand.
Definitely! It was my pleasure, Jamie!
Awesome!

I saw their first Los Angeles show with about 298 others
.. the energy in that little room going back and forth from the stage to the crowd was just a tsunami of energy than ran through the crowd ..it was something I have never experienced before...I've seen the giants of yesteryear in concert....now to be truthful and without real comparison I didn't see those giants in a 300 occupancy venue either like I was fortunate enough to see Bandmaid.
Two days later I find out they are playing in LA
Two weeks and 1 day later I'm in a walking boot from said Rock show by Bandmaid
I was at all 3 L.A shows and will be at any other show I can make.

But no Band Maid covers....unless its ...Gion Cho
....Yeah right..
let me ask you
At times can't you hear just a little Polson in their song Rock in me.
I can even bring Faster Pussycat into that mix on a couple other songs.
Anyways I showed Porno Scott one of your reactions.....and his mouth never shut. He said fuck....he's even got my mannerisms down too...fucken guy

Best regards,
Robert-Gilles
Thank you and I agree!

Misa no just slappy the bass she also tappy the bass and just as good as Kanami might I add . Long Live the PO!
LOL
One word for that solo " MINCHO "
Shut up, Kanami is speaking, I love that phrase. And damn she can play the guitar !!!!
To me, they are the best band around. I love this band so much. What's not to love? Kanami is amazing.
I've seen it written somewhere before that Miku was wearing low-heeled shoes on this tour because of a sprained ankle.
The Maids are legitimately the best band in the world.
I'm with you, Ryan, wanting to see them so badly. If they cancel or I can't be get tickets, they'll probably find me hangin' from a shower rod. 😭😁
