Agree 100%. I've been playing catch up on a bunch of albums I never heard from them and loving it. There's Nothing like the sound of Ian Crichton's guitar.
I saw them yesterday and I'll tell you what. 46 years after their formation they STILL sound incredible. Mike sounds as good as he did when he was a lad. STUNNING & INCREDIBLE!!!!!! \m/
I saw SAGA one time October, 1982 Heads or Tales tour as opener for Jethro Tull ( their Broadsword...show) Spectrum Philadelphia. A fabulous show! I had never heard of SAGA Previously. I became an instant fan - 41 years later.. Steve Negus used rwo drum kits , electronic Simmons, and acoustic...
In Transit live was the first cassette tape i used to play on car trips that got me hooked on the magic of Saga. The level of musicianship is stellar always been inspirational. This is great to find. They should all receive the Order of Canada for their lifetime of achievement. Thanks for sharing..
*The SAGA concert in Cologne is tonight, October 16th, 2023 at 8 p.m. I'm really looking forward to it. I've been a SAGA fan for 43 years. This music has helped me a lot in difficult times when I wasn't doing so well. Nothing against Mike Thorne but I would love to see Steve Negus on Drums*
I first saw Saga back in 1982 they were opening up for Billy Squire and in my opinion, they blew him off the stage, and I've been a HUGE FAN ever since 😎😎😎
I've been re ripping thru all their albums the last few months. Several i never heard before. So good. Ian's guitar and sadler vocals are always amazing
UNCLE~MR.IAN CRICHTON IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE GUITARIST... SINCE 1980... AND THEN 1981 COMES AROUND WITH THE RELEASE OF "WORLD'S APART" AND I AM JUST BLOWN AWAY... CONSTANTLY LISTENING TO THIS L.P. THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS VIDEO..
I love Ian’s style of playing guitar. He plays so staccato and muted then you hear this blaze of notes all picked. He definitely has his own sounds and style of playing. You can’t say that about many guitar players.
My favorite prog group, been listening to them since the 80s. Too bad they are so underrated but they do have a solid fan base in Europe where I saw them in concert a few times.
Hello love saga band thank so very much for long time ago 35 years to my inspiration to drums and I am hoppes see next year 2024 to Germany with my friend Steve neugs and Nicole neugs won time in love Alexander pehlke from Germany Biberach 😀👍❤❤🇩🇪 bis dann 2024
They seem to come out of nowhere back then. I went to many concerts in the Austin Texas area around the mid 80's. I don't remember them stopping by Austin back then, maybe I just missed them.
I know nothing about Saga apart from the two singles that got airplay on MTV. With that being said, just watching the first few minutes, I got the sense that there were two guys who called all the shots and probably battled with each other about everything. And everybody else was just the glorified hired help who could be replaced at a moment's notice.
Everything is out of sync, especially the vocals. Might be a transfer from PAL to NTSC? possible I guess..even the video is faster. Love the reissues on vinyl, thank you, they sound excellent!
I’m 72 and still consider this band in the 10 of my favorites. So multitalented and gifted in every way.Still gives me chills to listen to SAGA .
Still one of the most unique bands in existence. Genius.
Agree 100%. I've been playing catch up on a bunch of albums I never heard from them and loving it. There's Nothing like the sound of Ian Crichton's guitar.
Totally agree with you 👏 I saw Saga in concert twice in the early 80's in Lyon in France ...what a great show 🤩😍 This band is amazing ❤
Saga rocks! Love forever...
I saw them yesterday and I'll tell you what. 46 years after their formation they STILL sound incredible. Mike sounds as good as he did when he was a lad. STUNNING & INCREDIBLE!!!!!! \m/
YES they still are great and Mike is a beast....sings still perfect. I saw them Live in summer 2022 and 2023, great concerts.
I’d love to see them. All original members?

Saga is so underrated and under appreciated in the US. Master musicians- still going strong after 45 years
I freaking love their music !!! Favorite Band ever, and after that Manowar xD

This was great! There isn't much out there about Saga from back in the day. More please!
In loving memory of my best friend Sooksong “Sonny” Morakot. We liked this band as a major thing. Awesome tunes. Under the cool desert sky.
Great music and amazing band !
The song “On The Loose”, was voted to be my high school’s 1983 graduating class song. Springfield High School, (Oregon).😊👍

This band is touching my heart since so many years. If someone would ask me who is your favorite band ? OF COURSE - SAGA !!!
Incredible.
Vai, Satriani, Lifeson, Johnson....? Absolutely ..... and CRICHTON.
Another great Canadian band that never got much airplay in the states!
They seem to come out of nowhere back then. I went to many concerts in the Austin Texas area around the mid 80's. I don't remember them stopping by Austin back then, maybe I just missed them.
ON THE LOOSE IS SIMPLY "KICK ASS!" IT STANDS ALONE BECAUSE IT IS SO UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT FROM ANYTHING EVER DONE IN PROGRESSIVE ROCK.
in the 80er we heard saga's "images at twilight" the whole day during an caving expedition, cool band
Before Dream Theater, there was SAGA!!
Actually, WHILE there is Dream Theater there is Saga ;-)
@@beatzimmermann5052 True.
Freu mich schon auf limburg an der Lahn ! 😍🤪💥💫
SAGA are GODS in Germany for some reason. . .
One of the best progessive bands how they did the guitar/keyboard mirroring each other Gee hmm wonder where Dream Theater got their inspiration
❤

Love the reissues on vinyl, thank you, they sound excellent!
Could you imagine this band as a three piece.
Would have had Rush on their toes.
Ass Kickin!!!!!¡!!!
Wind him up in 4k vision
Saga without Steve Negus, it's like Toto without Jeff Porcaro !
Best album from Saga is Head or tales BY FAR
