Can I ask a question please? I am curious to know, if I were to install Parrot OS on a USB drive, why would I still need to allocate space on my computer's hard drive? I am a bit confused as to whether all the data for the Parrot OS would be stored entirely on the USB drive or not. Thank you!
You wouldn’t need to allocate space on your system storage if you are creating a persistent storage usb with Parrot OS on it. However that’s a whole separate process. ua-cam.com/video/-Tbob3ecg7Y/v-deo.html
@@SavvyNik I have another question Nik! Is it possible to edit/change the amount of storage space for the installed Parrot OS? For example if I were to install a Parrot OS on a created 32GB storage space on my 120GB storage disk, is it possible that I could increase the storage volume that I input from 32GB to 64GB (or more if there's space) so that I could place more files?
Yeah you can extend the partition so long as the root part is at the end of your disk. You could use a tool like gparted -> ua-cam.com/video/Kyz9x71gEPI/v-deo.html
hello and thanks for tutorial i am new linux user and i have a question: where is installation location for applications in linux? home partition Or root?
You're welcome. Depends on the application and what privileges it may need to run, they can be in a variety of place such as /usr/bin or /home//bin. In order to tell where a particular package is installed you can use the which command. For example: which this would give you the location it's being launched from.

Hi, Nik. Really appreciate your video. I myself have followed everything you've said on the video and succesfully installed Parrot OS. But I ran to some problem. Everytime I tried to boot to parrot os, I didnt get the same login screen as you do, instead mine was just Terminal. Did I do something wrong or my system configuration are not optimal? @@iamnoroEDIT: So, I think I ran into the same problem you might have had! @@miah1700 You need to change the boot priority to the GRUB Loader as Savvy said (im not sure if parrot is ubuntu based) but it should show Ubuntu there and thats it you load into the boot menu from GRUB and select which OS you want to use

Hey please help me. I need help in installing parrot os. Actually i m facing a problem. The space which a partitioned for installing parrot os is not showing in the parrot installer. What to do
It should work, you may have to change up the boot priority so Linux is the first to boot. I have Windows 11 on my system and everything seems ok. Although who knows when it comes to different sets of BIOS.
I have 90GB free space on my windows partition, but when I try to shrink it I can only shrink 5gb because of unmovable files. Even when I follow instructions to disable hibernation, paging and protection it only goes up to 11GB. Please help!
