I had the good fortune of taking in a CFL game in June of 1971 between the Grey Cup Champion Calgary Stampeders and the CFL All Stars, led by Joe Theisman, QB of the Toronto Argonauts. The Stamps won in front of a packed stadium and I remember what a good time it was as a fan. I've been a fan of the Stampeders since as not only do they remind me of my beloved KC Chiefs (similar color schemes, passionate fan base, great atmosphere at games), but their all-time rushing leader Jon Cornish is also a University of Kansas product which helps seal the deal. I also developed a fondness for the city of Calgary at the same time and have had the good fortune of re-visiting the area on business many times. Calgarians are great people. Go Stamps!
