The plus points of this guy -
1. Very few actors achieve the stardom he has achieved which SHOWS that there's something in him the audience likes.
2. No adult/kiss scenes in the movies. Families can watch together - that's also a plus point.
3. People say he can't act - and I agree he isn't a "fine" actor like Rajkumar Rao , Nawazuddin Siddiqui etc... But there are many of his movies which HIT in the core emotionally or he has played the role really well even when it comes to acting - for eg. Tere Naam , Kyon Ki , Wanted , Dabangg , Sultan , Ek tha Tiger , Tiger Zinda Hai , Partner , Judwaa , Karan Arjun , Veer , Jaan-E-Mann etc....
4. And even though soo many say that its nepotism - but this guy did make a comeback after going through a phase of stuff not working out in his favour.
5. You can see that he worked hard by the simultaneous amount of movies he did. Its no joke to go through filming all those movies , they consume your time.
6. He has a quirk - his dance moves get famous ( like Govinda ) among the public.
7. Love him or hate him - you can't ignore him. The guy is RAW , people KNOW the scandals he has been through and the bad stuff of his life too - and people then chose to become his fans. That is why his fans stick by him through thick and thin.

Salman is a natural tragedy actor. When he cries in movies, it looks so real. When he cries, I don't know why my eyes go teary as well. That's why I never watched Tere Naam again in my life.

I would suggest you watch Jaan-e-maan one of the most underrated movie of Salman and Akshay, it has amazing cinematography, I loved it more than La La Land. Also watch Mujse Shadi karogi and Partner.

1. Salman was superstar after his first movie as a lead actor "Meine Pyaar kiya".
2. Salman was always more popular and hit than srk... after "kuch kuch hota hai" srk got more Popularity.
3. Madhuri Dixit was the best lead actress of that time and "hum apke hai kon" was super hit movie of both.
4. Kareena kapoor's elder sister is karishma kapoor. Salman worked alot with her and very good movies they both did.
5. "Pyaar kiya toh darna kya" was again very hit movie.
6. Salman was never a action hero but he did really few & good action movie in 90's & 20's like baghi, veergati, tumko na bhool payenge. It was Wanted after which he became more action hero.
