The fact that Jaby acknowledged that something about him changed after 2013-14 is very true. I am a true Shahid Kapoor fan and in many of his interview he did mention that after 2013 his career path took a turn. Be it his 2 bad relationships with Kareena and Priyanka or his choice of doing more mature and experimental roles. He has faced more ups and downs than any other Bollywood personality and I can definitely say that today he is one of the best and most successful Bollywood Superstar.

He did a movie called mausam. He didn't sign any other project while working on that movie and that time worked as a break kind of thing and he started looking more mature. He did play a role of indian air force officer in that movie
Shahid was at the top of his fame and game around 2009-10 but He rejected many movies to dedicate his time for Mausam and gave more than 1and half for it and it's failure took a toll on him and also his personal relationship (he broke up with Priyanka around same time) those 2-3 years was very low period of his life and that aged him faster.
After some flop and average box office performance excluding Jab we met in initial years as young actor he did sigh many movies just to remain active in bollywood as many actors came during his time but only few remain . He's lucky that directors like Imtiaz Ali , Vishal Bhardwaj and last but not the least Priyadarshan saw what no other directors and made him very good actor . He's still a director's actor .

The fact that Jaby acknowledged that something about him changed after 2013-14 is very true. I am a true Shahid Kapoor fan and in many of his interview he did mention that after 2013 his career path took a turn. Be it his 2 bad relationships with Kareena and Priyanka or his choice of doing more mature and experimental roles. He has faced more ups and downs than any other Bollywood personality and I can definitely say that today he is one of the best and most successful Bollywood Superstar.

But I completely aggree that Shahid had it in him and hence he still in the industry after 17 years. His step brother also got a chance to star with shahid but couldn't shine as much. Not many know about him. I don't think his brother struggled to get roles too lol.

Spot on Jaby for guessing that his break up probably caused him to look dramatically different because that was it. He had a pretty bad break up with Kareen Kapoor whom he dated the longest during his unmarried life, to a point where they just would not talk about each other anymore. I think Shahid dated Priyanka to get over Kareena which also ended up not working out then he was convinced that dating a female costar was the worst idea... (he said it during an interview)

He did a movie called mausam. He didn't sign any other project while working on that movie and that time worked as a break kind of thing and he started looking more mature. He did play a role of indian air force officer in that movie
Shahid was at the top of his fame and game around 2009-10 but He rejected many movies to dedicate his time for Mausam and gave more than 1and half for it and it's failure took a toll on him and also his personal relationship (he broke up with Priyanka around same time) those 2-3 years was very low period of his life and that aged him faster.

After some flop and average box office performance excluding Jab we met in initial years as young actor he did sigh many movies just to remain active in bollywood as many actors came during his time but only few remain . He's lucky that directors like Imtiaz Ali , Vishal Bhardwaj and last but not the least Priyadarshan saw what no other directors and made him very good actor . He's still a director's actor .
