Nothing better than watching Miss Moose dig through the ToteMan's totes!👴..She bags a vintage photo album for 20 bucks, finds Jesus again, plus an old Donald Duck tea saucer. She then shares her vacuum bags with a fellow flea market buyer, then finds an English-German book, and a neat antique clock face with patina, a rare #34 Janitor Broom label (although the #35 label is rarer)😉, then heads home to eat a fine meal , consisting of cherry tomatoes and sweet corn.🍅🌽
#35 is the rarest! Haha I like your run-down, a great summary! The vacuum bags now are just waiting to be used on a trip… Yellowstone, Germany, one can wish! The only thing missing from the video was a radio!
Hey Renee. Finding the pictures is a great score. On to the Tote Man, those little dishes is an amazing find. You also got more treasures from him. This was a great day Renee. God Bless you Renee. It is official, it's my Birthday. I am getting old. Take care. Mari'a. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️💙💙👍👍👍👍👍🍰
Happy Birthday!!! Hope that you enjoyed the day doing whatever you love to do, even if that’s just relaxing & enjoying the simple things. Hope you have a great upcoming year as well!
When you said you went to Disney, m first thought was "I hope you said -HI- to Donald!" 😉. Then next thing you know, there he was! Some nice finds today 👍👍
One of my favorite shopping videos! You got great stuff this time! Saw lots of things I would have bought. Probably good I wasn’t there…would have filled up my van😂
Ah..."Slap Me Awake Time"! I'm going to my Sal. Army Store...but at my "Comfortable Time"...3 pm! I'm a late type person...dragging in the early hours...floods of energy in the late hours. As I watch this adventure of yours, it's 1:45 in the morning...will be closing down at around 2am! Well, you might say I'm an early bird! That collection of vintage family photos look like the ones I have of my grandparents, as well as mom and dad in their childhood days! You would have many more of these old photos, as I saw these in free piles and recycling bins...long before I was on UA-cam media! If there are any fr-g-themed mini plates...I'll purchase them!
My prime work hours vary depending on the seasons, I think I've come to realize that. For this summer, I've been up early and then usually start winding down a little after 7. If I try to force myself to get work done past 9, it's rough! Now there are other months/seasons when it's 11pm and I'm in my best work time. 2am closing time... that reminds me of my college days and getting last minute studying in before a test!
@@PaperandMooseI do these hours now, because I'm so-called retired...I seem busier now than when I was in the 9-5 corporate world! Speaking of busy...visited my Sal Army Store (one of two left in S.F.), and did ok...found three cute custom-crafted fr-gs, a vintage Casper, the Friendly Ghost candle holder...from 1985, plus a very unique advertising piece for Flexco Conveyor Belt Systems...in three dimensional heavy bronze. I love and collect old advertising, items both in ephemera and model form. As a side note the, clerk handed me a newspaper...from 1974...to wrap my purchases...headlining Nixon's resignation! I was a 31 year old geek then!! Fun looking back when I unwrapped my items and took a trip back into "recent" history!
I love the childrens tea sets. I am partial to the little bunny one, although the Donald Duck one is also very cute. Those tea sets are hard to find in complete, especially if children actually played with them. Nice photo album also. Not a bad day at the flea market.
The #44 patch was my favorite that yo didn’t buy. Journal makers love numbers🤣 The Donald Duck Tea Set is adorable. The photo albums are a gem and excellent price❣️🤗💖🦋
You found some good items. I loved the two tea sets, but my eyes zoomed in on something else in that same box. There was a china tray and I think a plate and possibly a third piece in what seemed to be from the art deco era that I would have grabbed for sure. I know dishes are not your thing but they were gorgeous.
Hello Renee . Beautiful finds today. I love the tea sets there so cute . The photo album is amazing. Just a wonderful day at the flea market. Take care. 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
It was a good day for you at this flea market. If the Victorian album photos are all from the same family and you could figure out their name, this would be a great "History Behind the Paper" task for you. Big score on the Donald Duck tea set which could be a pre-war item because old Donald got a longer mouth like in those old cartoons. Fancy finger nail design today, by the way ! 👌Keep it up, Renée, not too hot over here today (around 75 degrees F), but extremely humid. Greets from GER, U.
Hopefully there’s more than just “Mother” written on the back! I have to remove those in the album yet. Even if there’s only a first name written on the back, if it’s an uncommon one, I might be able to pair it with the town that should be printed on the bottom of the photograph from the photographer. A great price on the album for sure! Donald Duck was a good find, I don’t come across older Disney items like that too often. Even if the set is missing a few pieces, I’m okay with that! Just got my nails painted again, they take a beating digging through boxes! I try to do them myself but it’s no use, as they come out looking like I had my eyes closed when I was painting them! Warming up here again, but not too bad. It feels like the “end of summer” warmth, when you know fall is going to sneak up soon!
@@PaperandMoose Concerning the names on the photos, you possibly got a first hit mentioning "BEHA" which is a family name mainly to be found in Germany and the U.S. The meaning is "from Bohemia" (Boehmen). This might be a first hint for your forthcoming research.
Great day for photos. I wonder if there are any "post-mortems" in that Victorian album. Were the Donald Duck dishes a Disney-produced product? I guess they must have been, to use the image? The "Battered Wings" book in one of the first boxes tells the story of "Lady Be Good" - a B-24 bomber that overflew it's landing point in Libya returning from a bombing mission over Europe. The crew bailed out in the desert when fuel ran out and regrettably did not survive its harsh conditions. The plane was presumed lost, but found in 1958 - it sort of landed itself (crashed, but at a very low angle). I believe there was still coffee in one of the pots. Interesting story. Anyway, wicked, tubular video (😁), enjoyed looking over your shoulder at all the stuff. Have a great Tuesday afternoon!
No Disney mark on the tea set, just “Japan”. Usually it would have been marked something along the lines of War Disney Productions or Disney, as you said. Maybe on one of the missing pieces! If that would have been an Alice in Wonderland set, I would have fainted! Ok, maybe not fainted, but that would have been quiet the find for me! Like in the cartoons, the Mickey tea set is more desired. Poor Donald, always #2. I noticed the book during my edits & did the ol’ “Why didn’t you buy that??” Happens every time! Hope that your Tuesday went well & that the rest of the work week goes by fast!
I would have been all over the Doctor Who books and an at&t sign. I collect weird things. My friend said he finds "The Torch is Passed" at literally every thrift store because we found one yesterday.
$20 for the album and photos at such a great price. My father in law brought over some corn on the cob unfortunately I can't eat it. My oldest gave an ear to her rats and they absolutely loved it.
You didn't finish your thought about the Donald Duck children's tea set so I did a quick google search. If you had the complete set (your missing some cups and not sure how many plates plus the tea pot, it would be valued at $350ish. BUT because you have the sugar and creamer along with one cup and saucer is anywhere between $45-75ish. Not a bad find at all!
I realized I didn’t finish what I was saying when I was editing, sidetracked as usual! I think I was going to say there was a cup/saucer and just single pieces currently listed on eBay. Wish I would have found the whole set! Still fun to find Donald!
What a great day for Renee! Glad you found some pretty cool things. Tote man should have gone on vacation when you went, what was He thinking. Lol ~ Texas
The Toteman Cometh! But you'd still snagged that great album anyway. Regardless of the pics the album itself was cool. Could it be repaired? - don't know. Still a great day…
Oh, I long for mornings of sixty degrees! We’re still having nineties with heat index in the hundreds, and it’s almost eighty at night! 🥵 I’m in Central Florida, and I dream of cooler temperatures. ❄️🥶. ✌🏼❤️
Oh wow! I know that when I was at Disney, the low for the evening was in the low 80s or high 70s. That felt like a relief after a day of 98 degrees! Cooler temps are coming to Florida soon, I hope for you!
Curious question? How much does the "tote man" charge? My husband has so much stuff that we are thinking of selling at a flea market. Wonder if we put it in tubs and let people rummage around
It varies based on what you have. Most people make a pile & he’ll look through everything & give a bulk price. For larger items, like furniture, decor, bikes, etc., he usually has a price for that single item.
Renee you have probably been asked this before but what do you do with all of the old photo’s you buy or find? they are really cool and you have me looking for them now when I’m thrifting..have a wonderful day.
I have found, that the most effective way to save space when travelling, is to not bring a woman with you. Women carry a lot of unnecessary junk even on short trips…. Grump grump.
A 8 month gap in comment but I have watched you since your 1st post...you are losing sight of the forest for the trees. Any child dish set is worth nice money. When you passed over the lusterware Japan set I gasped. You flip through so fast these days focused on what you have in your mind you no longer see the other good sale items. It makes me sad. Open your eyes and slow down a bit so you can see the opportunities we see that you have missed. Just my two cents worth but worth the comment to me.
Wow you did good today! Love it all! That tote man is awesome. I love you! Stay safe and healthy. 😘💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️👶
Precious little dishes
This was so interesting.A real variety.
Hope you and Pam have a little tea party !!! Great finds!!🥰🥰🥰

Loved the kiddie dishes and the photo album. And the fresh corn - add a protein and dinner's on!

Renee!!! Thanks for taking us along with you to the flea market! I appreciate you!!! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!
I love the tea set you found - so pretty. And that $20 photo album? Wow!
The tea sets are very cute. I like the old books and photos as well, I always feel connected to the past when thumbing through them.
I love the old spelling book❤
Hi Renee. I hope you had a great time in disney. We went about 3 years ago. Great flea market day.
