My father died Friday and these are the words I am praying to God. I know God is here but I feel lost and it's hard for me to see Him. I really really need Him to get me through this storm. Oh, any prayers would be welcomed.
It is not easy to force the voice for many years! In my opnion, Kutless is getting better. And the songs are getting closer to heaven! Jon Micah's voice is divine in this album!
30 second song sample of the entire record is on amazon.com. There is a well balanced mix of worship and rock. I don't know why so many people are complaining, but since I personally know these guys, they are doing this from the heart. What you hear on the new record is there passion. They are doing what they feel God wants them to do, not what most everyone else wants them to do. I personally think it will be the best Kutless record to date.
I feel like kutless and TFK are actually giving it all they got this year which is REALLY GOOD..Yes this sounds way different but change is good. This year is a war of change and so far so good, first with me and these bands are for sure helping! May God keep blessing them. Even hawk nelson has changed and i like it cuz theyre giving it all they got and theyre being themselves. Keep Rocking4Christ guys
Kutless is by far my favorite band. Their past two albums have shown how much they have matured. I liked Sea of Faces and Hearts of the Innocent but I think most people would agree that they direction their music is heading is the better way.
Have any of you guys heard the new Kutless song "Even If"? If not, you can hear it on youtube. Just type in Kutless "Even If", live. I heard them perform it live at Winterjam. It's also a single too, but hasn't been posted as an official video yet. It certainly doesn't rock as hard as "Need", but lyrically and all around it's a good song.
@JPos29 I was told by the guys at winterjam that the new album is similar to "It Is Well", but with a few heavier moments. So I think you hit the hammer on the nail. It will probably be just that-a mixture of both albums.
Why does everybody say Kutless needs to go to the old rock sound? Yeah, this stuff sounds different, but it is just as good. Accept them for what they are. I do. They Are AWESOME!!!!
if you want to make a song for GOD, expect music likes this, just like when you want to say something to your LOVE- its like you want to SHOUT IT OUT, shout whats inside you, shout your love to GOD.^^
Definitely need some of the old Kutless sound back, their old albums were the best. they seem to be getting a lot more mainstream instead of that rawness that their old stuff had, been a little bit disappointed by this one as far as I have heard. The worship is good don't get me wrong, and a do love that they've brought out a couple of pure worship albums but they need some old style rock back, wasn't even that impressed with to know that you're alive.
Actually it will only pull the song "Even If" up when you type in Kutless even if in ther search enguine. You will see a couple of live versions at winterjam that was posted.
It's a good song, I love Kutless. But really miss their Hearts of the Innocent sound. That was a great album. But this is still a good track, dont get me wrong! i love almost anything kutless does! but i do hope to hear some more harder rock on this album
Then I pray for you. I pray that your father may find peace with God, and that you may find the strength to move past this unspeakably difficult time. I pray because I believe in a God that loves us all, you, me, your father, that guy down the street that I never talk to but see every day - everyone. May God guide you, and may he give you the strength to live your own life again. Amen.
Its honestly not as bad as y`all are making it out to be. Sure its not TKTYA or Let You In, but it still has a rock n roll feel to it...my opinion anyway!
@tomiscute6 I agree! But this is just the single! And its pretty good! But i do miss the harder rock like hearts of the innocent! we will have to wait to hear the rest of the album!
God created talent. So that people would use it to worship him. Everyone that does not worship God worships the devil. To worship the devil you just need to glorify yourself your opinions and personal ambitions and thoughts, that’s what worldly music does. When people go to hell they realize that. How they thought they were good on earth but in reality by following their own selfish ways apart from following God they were following the devil all along. Satan told them this. Yes, people have actually died several hours gone to hell and God sent them back to tell people. They said how the devils tortured them in hell and mocked them for being so dumb and foolish to believe any lie they fed them about how they were so good by themselves, how they didn’t need God and how if they just lived their life how they liked and didn’t hurt anyone everything would be alright. But when they came to hell they learned the truth. That all along they were hurting people when they did their sins and encouraged others to do so and not worry about God or hell. In doing so they hurt and caused many people to go to hell with them through their foolish philosophy and vain tradition of living. Repent therefore, change your thinking and your ways. You weren’t created to live for yourself but for God. Turn to Jesus
In reply to your comment. Kutless are called to a ministry. They are evangelists, teachers and they have a clear idea of what their vision is. The hardest thing in Christian ministry is often the criticism from well meaning Christians idle comments. Satan uses Christians to attack Christians in ministry more than any other people, because it hurts us more when it comes from our family, from our blood. Be careful therefore to only speak in the Lord, my friend. Blessings.
@SMDB82 Don't say it's the worse song on the album just because you don't like it. You're free to your own opinion, of course, but please don't say it's the worse like it's an absolute. =)
@redwinggirl101 I know who they are talking about. I know its a worship song. My original post wasn't ripping on the content or message of the song. I am a chrisitan myself. I was saying that I personally miss the heavier more rock sound that Kutless used to have. Their lyrics have always been about Christ. I just stated that I miss their heavier sound that's all
Don't get me wrong, I like this stuff, but there are lots of christian bands with similar music that I also like just as much, the old kutless was more distinct and had a fairly unique style to it. I don't want them not to do songs like what is on this album, "carry me to the cross" is a brilliant song, I just would like them to mix it with some heavier songs like they used to.
@shatteredbones20. It doesnt have anything to do with worshipping Jesus. I grew up with their old sound and just miss that. That's all. Im not saying this is bad or anything. I just miss their old stuff from sea of faces and before
Don't get me wrong their latest album is good but Kutless had already established themselves as hard rockers with a good worship-style side. I want to hear that rockin' stuff again man, this is the only song like that on the album. The soft songs are good but when you have a complete album like this right after It Is Well, its really disapointing.
If you listen to the songs on the first 3 rocky albums that is the sound I am talking about, every single song on those 3 albums are really good. I am not a fan of the vocal sounds like the 'now' on this song.
This album irritates me. I love their soft stuff, but they just released 2 soft albums in a row. I want some good rock and roll stuff like Hearts if the Innocent or To Know That You're Alive. I mean, dadgum, this is the only real rocker on the whole cd.
@Encriptixx I don't have an issue with them philosophically--they're obviously doing worship music because they feel that's what they should do. I can't criticize them for that. What I can criticize them for are boring songs, mediocre songwriting, and their abandonment of what made them special. I like this song. But if the rest of the album is like Carry Me To the Cross, we got a problem.
Good Kutless, but not their best. Sea of Faces was by far the best rock album. But they still never shy away from their mission. Saved or not, everyone NEEDS God in their lives and repentance everyday. Its a great reminder of the Father
Oh my, How I use to love this group. I don't like American Christian bands anymore except for Theocracy, Check out there album "As The World Bleeds" Also check out European Bands like HB, Audiovision, and Narnia. Way better than all the stuff here with boring vocals, predictable chord changes, and lousy if any guitar solos.
It's not one of their best tracks, music wise. The solo is pretty weak. Kutless' sound has definitely changed over the years. This song is good to use as a single, however, due to it being up tempo. I just hope they make better use of the drop A# tuning on some of the other tracks.
Is it just me or does it seem like the producing on this makes it sound bad? Like i can see great potential but it just seems like the sounds are wrong for this type of song? Included in that, what happened to his vocals? There is deffinately layering and effects but i dislike them.
YES SOME OF THE OLD KUTLESS ROCK WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE...AWESOME AWESOME SONG AND MESSAGE...CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE NEW ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kutless is a very talented band. They can play hard, medium and soft music and it sounds great. Hard to find bands that can do that so well.

Cannot wait till the new album comes out. Even though they sound different, they are still amazing in spreading the word of God through music.(:
I feel like kutless and TFK are actually giving it all they got this year which is REALLY GOOD..Yes this sounds way different but change is good. I LOVE KUTLESS SO MUCH !!! no matter what!!! this song is so amazing!! NEW FAV!
Kutless is by far my favorite band. Their past two albums have shown how much they have matured. I liked Sea of Faces and Hearts of the Innocent but I think most people would agree that they direction their music is heading is the better way.
Can't stop listening. Really an excellent song, got me even more pumped for the new album.
I love it guys! God bless and keep up the good work!
Everyone needs God
This makes me miss the old Kutless more and more
I Love This Song!!!
I love the solo!!!!!
I want the old Kutless back!
This is excellent.
LOVE this song!! GOD BLESS you all =)
I think the song's rad. Job well done, guys!
Love it!
This is a great album from kutless
I LOVE THE SOLO!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG! We should be bestfriends forever! "Hearts" was by far their best! And then yeah of course Sea of Faces. Haha.
Reminds me of the Foo Fighters, the way the music progresses..I like this new Kutless sound though.
whatchu guys complaining about this is nice! i could jam to this no problem
i can relate to this song so well
the new album is the best ever... :DDD
@HydroBeMobbin Where did you hear the previews!? There is also a deluxe edition coming out with like 5 bonus tracks. Hopefully those are heavier.
@tomiscute6 dude! This is SO old Kutless style! AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait!!!!
Actually, I would really like to see a mix of It is Well and Sea of Face styles on this new cd - this seems to be exactly that!
Sounds more mainstreamish...need more cutting, hard-hitting, real, passionate music...that rocks hard, like the old Kutless!
I heard all of the previews. More than half is like Carry me to the Cross
LOL look at the way Dave is standing! Haha! :P
totally agree!
@JLSRawk You mean Sea of Faces, which is the album "Let You In" is from.
if you want to make a song for GOD, expect music likes this, just like when you want to say something to your LOVE- its like you want to SHOUT IT OUT, shout whats inside you, shout your love to GOD.^^
Thank you :)

Just got the new album now, there is some heavier stuff, but no really heavy stuff, sounds like its a good album though :)
Actually it will only pull the song "Even If" up when you type in Kutless even if in ther search enguine. You will see a couple of live versions at winterjam that was posted.
It's a good song, I love Kutless. But really miss their Hearts of the Innocent sound. That was a great album. But this is still a good track, dont get me wrong! i love almost anything kutless does! but i do hope to hear some more harder rock on this album

that moment when you feel like damn where have you been all my life
Don't hate bro...they does what they do for a reason. But I feel ya, miss the rock out tunes they did earlier.
@tomiscute6 I agree! But this is just the single! And its pretty good! But i do miss the harder rock like hearts of the innocent! we will have to wait to hear the rest of the album!
AH SNAP!!!!!!!!
I've missed you guys so much. =')
Hey, just wondering, but do the chorous guitars sound kind of like "The Pretender's"?
How can anyone possibly "waste their talent on worship music"??!
God created talent. So that people would use it to worship him. Everyone that does not worship God worships the devil.
To worship the devil you just need to glorify yourself your opinions and personal ambitions and thoughts, that’s what worldly music does. When people go to hell they realize that. You're quite welcome. Everyone needs help now and then, if we didn't we wouldn't really be human. :)
Love this song. XD
i need you right now!!!
Sensacional! DEUS nunca nos abandona, é só crer que o milagre acontece! xD
@skilletrocks50 "i need you right now" who do you think they are talking about?
acording to the lyrics this one should be a sad song...
True.
In reply to your comment. Kutless are called to a ministry. They are evangelists, teachers and they have a clear idea of what their vision is. The Chorus sounds kind of Demon Hunter vocalish...like in "Fading Away"
I sure hope most of the album is like this. Kutless is an extremely talented band that just seems to be wasting its potential on worship music.
@JRJMac1 i agree!
Does anyone know the name of the guy who is in the right?
@SMDB82 Don't say it's the worse song on the album just because you don't like it. You're free to your own opinion, of course, but please don't say it's the worse like it's an absolute. =)
ahoo

Sounds like joe jonas joined the band.
@LexMDK what's wrong with you too???!!!

@SMDB82 The same could be said about you and how this song bothers you. Don't tell me one thing and then do another. It makes you a hypocrite.

"NEED" some "Hearts Of The Innocents". Didn't like this song. Sorry.
