    Where should the screws go if the box doesn’t have 2 threaded pieces for the actual screw to go into

    Just installed 2 of these fans 10/3 in my back patio seems like it moves pretty goof air, I really thought top speed was going to be faster, fan is super quiet, light output is good, I wish the the fan blade screws were a little longer and better quality

    How is this fan measured? From blade to blade tip ?

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  4 роки тому

      the fan size is measured by the complete diameter

    Does that mean there are only 2 combinations you can have with the fan since the options are 0 and 1? We have several of the same home decorators collection fans in our house and they are all connected when one remote changes settings

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  4 роки тому

      No, there are a number of frequencies programmed in the receiver. Placing the dip switch to the "1" setting allows the fan to cycle through different frequencies.

    How much time these ceiling fans needs to be OFF in order to rest and cooling off???

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  4 роки тому

      We suggest turning the fans off when not in the room. The fans shouldn't heat up that much during use, but the fan doesn't really do anything if you're not in the room except increase energy consumption.

      @@ceilingfans101 Thanks for answer. In our case we let them on when we go to work just for our dogs. My father isn’t in favor of this because he said the fans will get so hot but i just dont know

      @@Seriesfan1 ah, that makes sense. gotta make sure the doggos are comfortable. the fans should be fine, especially with the DC motors.

      @@ceilingfans101 How do I know when buying one if it can be installed without it?

    • @jotibiris
      @jotibiris 2 роки тому +1

      @@ceilingfans101 Actually, I bought that fan but I didn't think about it, and I think it's going to be very low. the ceiling is not that high. Luckily I haven't opened it yet

      @@jotibiris if buying the fan in a store, there are a couple of places on the packaging that have the information. The information is located on the top of the box. There is a chart labeled "Mounting Options" that shows the ways it can be installed. in this case the mounting options are "Downrod" and "Slope" with icons showing the two different ways. If a fan is able to be installed without the downrod, it will also have "Flush" or "Close-to-ceiling" listed with an icon showing that. You can also look at the "Ceiling fan dimensions" chart that will show the assembled height at each method. It will show the assembled height of the fan with "close-to-ceiling" (no downrod), Downrod, and Slope. The packaging on this fan says N/A under the close-to-ceiling mount meaning that it is not applicable and can not be mounted with this method. If purchasing the fan online, the installation methods are listed in a variety of places on the product page online. 1 - Specificaitons section (mounting type), 2- Details section (mounting type), 3 - Product overview (mounting type), and 4 in the bullet points that state "Dual-mount installation (standard flat ceiling or high/angled ceiling)". If a fan is able to be installed without the downrod "Flush" will be included in these areas and the bullet point will state something like "Tri-mount installation (flush or close to ceiling, downrod, and angled). I know it's a long answer, but hope the information helps you!
