Seeing Shurri went from happy bubbly girl to someone who lost her entire family. Like dang.
Why did T'Challa prepare Nakia and his son for his death? In the first Black Panther movie when T'Challa first speaks with his father in the ancestral plane, his father tells him that "a man who has not prepared his children for his own death has failed as a father".
Because the MCU canon is unclear on how much time T'Challa actually had with his son.
Toussaint/ToT was conceived at some point between Black Panther and Infinity War, T'Challa gets Dusted by Thanos, only to return over 5 years later when The Hulk brought everyone back, with it being unclear how much time had passed from his return to the time that his illness took him, a year before the run of Wakanda Forever.
Maybe he had a year; maybe a little longer.
But he likely spent some time (the just returned King of Wakanda leaving the country for stretches of time, with no one really knowing where he's gone isn't sensible) with his son (5-6 after Endgame; possibly 7-8 when Shuri meets him at the end of Wakanda Forever) and Nakia is likely laying it on thick with Shuri and the MCU audience (the conversation in the Ancestral Plane was only between T'Chaka and T'Challa) to minimize any possible concern for the legitimacy of Toussaint/ToT (only Nakia, T'Challa, ToT, and Queen Mother Ramonda were the ones in the know about King T'Challa's son, and Nakia is the only witness to that who is still alive to tell the story to everyone else)

i assume nakia was pregnant when the snap happened. t'challa came back after 5 years in endgame. then he got sick. so he had just one year with his son.
Folks don't realize how savage Shuri is in the comics. So this films displayed her duality perfectly. She's smart yes but calculating like her brother but savage like her cousin. Her anger or bloodlust in the comics is krazy. I hope they keep exploring that with her until the Prince comes of age.
Would love to see more of Shuri in the future tbh 🔥

Know that Namor is very stubborn and does not compromise when it comes to his people. Believe it or not, he was being very merciful and not using his full strength or even his full army. In the script for this movie shuri and namor really were having a connection. The last painting was him and the black panther forever entangled.

Yes definitely noticed how stubborn he is.. I guess they really were forming some kind of connection, but it’s still sad the queen had to go out because of protecting the scientist. 🥲
@@JynxRyl yeah you both were spot on with that. And I loved the catch on that he saw his mother as shuri saw hers as what his mother would want from him and that was to yield. When they killed off the queen I was shocked but once he said he would do it if he detects any wakanda ship in the ocean or if the queen tells America about his existence, I knew once they took shuri and killed his people. He could not go back on his word. He also had two main ones of his people that if he's killed, are even worse when it comes to the surface. Nomar is an antihero. So he will help even the Avengers and fight them if needed for his people . He is a very difficult character though. Haha. There are some videos about him and his ongoing history with wakanda and others on UA-cam. Where they can go from here is literally anywhere.
I'm happy ya'll can understand the Queen's feelings when she stripped Okoye of her ranks. I honestly felt in that moment, both women are right to feel the way they feel. Many people I watch often take Okoye's side, but I personally think both women were being honest and no one is wrong.
I love how the queen never blamed Nakia for not coming to the funeral. She just kindly say, 'you were missed'/ 'You will always be Wakandan'. It just feels like a warm invitation asking her to come visit any time. All the women grieved in their own way and they never tear each other down for grieving differently.

I think namors thought process was since riri was able to build something that could detect vibranium, which is just as abundant in talokan as it is in wakanda, there’s potentially someone who could build other tools that would soon eventually lead to the discovery of talokan. Definitely agree Namor is hard headed and blinded by vengeance bc he’s so focused to protecting his people so they’re not murdered and displaced like his mom and other ancestors were

Namor let the need for vengeance and in a way selfishness corrupt him. No one can argue that Talokan and its ppl have a right to want to protect itself, but the minute he wants to burn the world down and wants to force Wakanda to commit such an act or face being attacked by him and his ppl, he become no different than the typical powers that be that try to bully other nations and conquer.
@@mboogie777 Yeah no. These aren’t even comparable Namor protecting his people out of fear that was instilled into him by surface people since he was a kid in no way makes him like a conquistador. Conquistadors sought to steal land, strip people of their resources, forced them into a new culture, raped and beat natives into submission and enslaved them for centuries. Namor trying PROTECT his people out of FEAR and NOT to conquest is not comparable to what conquistadors did. Not even close.
Actually talokan was already displaced. Multiple times. They were driven further and further into the ocean. I get why he was mad. There’s only so many times where he could let his people be forced to move again. They were minding their business until Riri’s invention exposed them. And The reason he had to kill her was because the CIA was still gonna need her. She is the only person who knows how the build the machine. It’s why they were looking for her in the first place.
@@user-pi9de6nq5l Did you miss the part in the film where he admitted it was beyond Riri and that basically someone else would eventually come up with something again because of the times? The indisputable fact remains Namor let vengeance corrupt him. Not once did he even speak to the person he intended to kill. He would have realized that unbeknownst to her, her work was plagiarized to build this machine, but again Namor does not listen, everything is his way and his way alone. He makes threats and doesn't care to compromise. Any good leader understands diplomacy is neede to some degree. He caused a lot of destruction which was avoidable just for him to end up compromising in the end after having his life spared. It's F- him for me but I do think he like Killmonger are great and complex villains.

I'll just point it out because it was pointed out to me but remember when the Queen went to Haiti? That was her "meeting" her grandson & the young girls...they were supposedly Dora warriors in training. Oh and the Scientist?? She's Ironheart as in Iron Man's daughter. They were throwing clues out there...like when the fbi showed up and dude yelled "She has an Iron man suit!!" Then her being such a genius and the car...all Iron man. 💖💖💖 Loved your vid. 🏳️🌈✊🏾
The Queen knew of her grandson when she and Shuri went into the bush, to do the memorial rights for King T'Challa; how much before that point is unclear, but she knew far before she went to Haiti to seek out Nakia for the rescue attempt.

Shuri went from being the amazing side character that we all loved to a fierce and independent character. She grew so much in this film. Really was a tear jerker

Movie was truly amazing! Shuri becoming Black Panther was the best part for me.
There was a deleted scene where Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda did get to meet little T'Challa. Of course, for obvious reasons, the scene was deleted so that the reveal in theaters would be as it was to the fans.
Although the filmmakers and Angela believed that the Queen meeting her grandson was a beautiful and heartwarming scene, everyone agreed that it was best to take it out and show him at the end credits scene.
The real though...
Realizing the intro in the lab isn't Shuri trying to save T'Challa but Letitia trying to save Chadwick

Yea she was born in Mexico City, then grew up in Kenya most of her life but then when she turned 16 her parents sent her to Mexico and learned spanish while going to school. The Mayan, she learned on set. She doesn't actually speak Mayan or any Native American language. That's really reserved to the Colonized ethnic Mexicans and Mexican/Guatemalan Mayan tribes. She was taught her few lines by the actual Mayan/Mexicans/Guatemalans Marvel brought in to build the underwater Native American world of the Talokan.

That wasn't his daughter, just a random Talokanil. He called her child, but she isn't his literal child. He sees all his people as his children because he's their King.

Talokan almost win the war, and suddenly namor and shuri just showed up and asked them to stop lmao😂😂
Talokan almost won the battle; let's be clear, lol; Namor comes back, and their king tells them to move different, the different move is the choice.
Because let's not forget to play this thing through; a severe blow to Wakanda here, but Namor is dead, Shuri is still alive, the Council is still alive, the Design team already has all the advances and knowledge picked up from studying the Taloknil, and now the nation of Wakanda is in full fight mode with what they have left.
Sea Leopards would storm Talokan, Shuri and the force she could muster from Wakanda, would be out in a full-on assault, and it'd be Attuma and Namora, trying to defend Talokan, knowing full well that Wakanda can now kill them in a full-on fight.
You lose Namor, Attuma, and Namora, the odds that the rest of the Taloknil would still push to wipe out the surface world is likely minimized.

You clearly don't know anything about the Talokan. Talokan's are literally Atlantians of the Oceans and are massively superior than the wakandans in the comics. They have an army 1000 times larger, faster, agile, and stronger than the original wakandan army. I think you know which army i'm talking about.... you know, the army before their numbers decreased in the avanger movies when a lot of them got killed in war. Yea.... imagine 1000 times larger than that amount. Namor 's lines when he said he has more soldiers than Wakanda has blades of grass, was not a bluff by Marvel. They are so superior that Namor only takes trips with a handful of his army and he did that in that last fight at the end of the movie. So They would of head back to Wakanda thinking they defeated the entire army of the Talokan when it was only an appetizer. Attuma and Namora only got blasted into the water, they didn't die or anything, and they're not their only highly-trained generals
The reason the directors didn't make Princess Shuri kill Namor is because; one, he is obviously a main Marvel character (like DC's Aquaman) that is just an antihero and will make Marvel more money when his Movie franchise comes out, and two, because the Wakandan army was wiped out and cornered by the Talokan's to it's last 50 WARRIORS in those last scenes you saw. Had shuri killed him, she would basically cause eternal war by killing the wakandan civilians and her entire civilization with no army, under 24 hours. Only Iron Heart and midnight Angels would be there to go up against 1 billion Talokans. Wakanda can't create a highly combat-trained army in 24 hours with their normal wakandan civilians lol. Only thing that could help them is the Technology but the Talokans can swim to the depths of the ocean and sneak pass Wakandas defenses like you saw, with ease. Wakanda would have to recruit clueless wakandan-civilians with no training against highly ocean-trained & superhuman underwater Talokans lmao. You really think that would go well? The wakandan-civillians never even had access to the technolgy the wakandan army used. Shuri did the smart thing imo for Wakanda but she did the wrong thing at the beginning intervening with the talokans pleading them to not take the Scientist and begging them to take her to Namor instead to talk to him. She didn't get kidnapped and instead brought death to her warriors and people when everything would of been done there if she let them take Riri. Namor had every right to defend his people just like T'Challa did with his. Both killed to protect when it came down to it. Just know that the Talokan are the most powerful nation on earth-land & earth's oceans when it comes to the army. When it comes to tech, it's Wakanda. Shurri's Black Panther got beat in on-on-one combat against Namor. She literally got a spear to her stomach and would be dead if it wasn't for the technology cooking Namor's back and Marvel wanting to keep the franchise alive while creating another with the Talokan. In the end both tribes in unity is what's best for Earth's-sake.
