Thanks to some of the comments i've received here's some fixes in case the method used in the video doesn't work for you: Try a different power supply. If you have an external storage device (like a usb stick or HDD), disconnect it and try turning the console on. Unplug it completely and leave it off for a while.
Hey was that an xbox 360 game or did it have to be backwards compatible? Like are most 360 games compatible? I'm having the same problem and have a ton of 360 games but nothing seems to be happening the game just pushes in manually would a xbox one game work? @@tylerdurdeniii4476 My theory is that it just has to be a disc, in the situation my console was in, it did not care what the disc was, as long as it was disc shaped, it should have brought it back to life, but your milage my vary.
Thought the Xbox was dead and would have to wait until I could get a new one and there not cranking them out like everyone was hoping. Once I unplugged the power source and plugged it back in, it worked like a charm. Thx so much.
I literally hit the power, got the black screen and just left it for about 8mins or so, smoked a joint, and came back to my pin input screen. Hell just try to leave it on. It worked for me.
I got really excited when I came across this video today. Same issue as you. Took to a place to fix last week but they had no clue. Got it back today. Had to manually remove disk in disk drive by putting paper clip in hole on left side of xbox. Putting disk back in like on video didn't work...I tried like 20 times. I went to Gamestop as a last ditch effort to hook another power supply to it and it went right on. $50 power supply beats buying a brand new xbox...Thanks for the video!
@@arronfarr4317 in the side of your xbox one theres a small hole you can put a needle in it and thta will manually eject the disc although when I did it to mine the disc didnt come out so I looked up how to take mine apart and manually opened the disc drive to eject the disc

I do that but I have to do it every time and because it doesnt permanently fix it I've got a system update that requires a restart and because its broken, it wont fully restart so it cant update so I cant go online so for me it's broken and useless and I cant do shit, it's the original xbox one so theres no repairs or maintenance anymore available so I'm fucked

unplug the power cord from the Xbox not the wall for 15 seconds then plug back in to reset the cache then hold down the power button and controller sync button at the same time until you hear a second beep and then factory reset the Xbox using your controller and following the steps your welcome
I can't even turn it on , it makes a weird sound coming from the xbox but after 2 seconds it completely shuts off I went out partying so there is no overheating

Thanks, I followed what you did and it’s working now! My Xbox situation was just like yours. Turns out My power supply was really dusty. Then when it finally turned on, it took a while for Xbox to restart and had trouble reading my gaming disc. I kept messing with things and now it’s working like normal.

I have the same happening to me but it makes a really faint sound and every 30 seconds it tries to on by itself but when I try to turn it on it makes a faint sound and it does like a *click* *click* *click* noise. Is there something really wrong with my xbox?
@@damnimloomin it was due to it being with my battery pack. There was a orange light flashing meaning there was a problem. Hope you can get yours fixed soon.

Lake Rain yes both safely came out for me I didn’t have to put the disk in (the one that wasn’t in there in the first place) all the way so the disk that was already in there came out safe and undamaged
It is a software issue that is due to age. Unplug EVERYTHING, then only plug the power directly from an outlet and don't touch any buttons for 10-20 minutes. This has happened twice after my console goes unplugged for awhile. It always turns on after "charging up" like this tho. I hope this helps!
Mine had a borderlands 3 disc inside .. manually ejected it but it doesn't deny the disc in reentry. Disc gently slides in but still no light. So close to a solution I can feel it. :)
Hey I had this same exact problem and none of the UA-cam vids helped then I decided to buy a new power cord and sure enough it worked. Just a generic one from amazon works and it’s only like 20 bucks. Honestly if none of these others ideas on UA-cam don’t work like holding down a button or somthing, I encourage you to just buy a new power cord.
I was playing my Xbox until the power all on the left side of my room Went off so I moved everything to the right side of my room including my tv and everything so I try to plug my Xbox back in but the brick. Wouldn’t come on so I blew into it thinking it overheated and let it chill for a bit and then I put it up and it turned orange after that I tried to turn my Xbox on but it only makes the noise for the power button and the disk incert there is no sound for the motor turning on or for the light turning on

Mine is beeping rapidly while the light not turning on. I assume it was because of a power outage recently that made the power flicker over and over while I was playing.
Mine does this with OEM Microsoft power supplies. Refuses to turn on with them 100% of the time. I bought an el cheapo brick from eBay and for some reason it powers on with that. Not sure why.

@@quincycichon8339 Try hooking up the power cord and the Xbox one to another outlet. Try an outlet in another room wait for the Xbox power cord light to turn white then use it.
Thankyou very much only thing u didn’t cover is how to manually remove the disc from the Xbox , since it was stuck in there while the Xbox didn’t work but once I successfully removed the disc with the Xbox unplugged I then plugged it in and tried the disc thing and it worked my Xbox powered back on!!
If you put a non-xbox disc into an xbox it will activate the disc shredding system and will destroy the disc, you'll know it's done this because all the shreds will fly out the back of the console.
Had this happen. New block didnt work. We took it apart and the power ribbon connecting to the front of the xbox where buttons are was loose. Removed and put the power ribbon back in place and good as new

So what worked for me is disconnecting everything, letting it sit for awhile, then I connected only power cord and then tried to put a disc in and it worked. Keep in mind my power button would not glow and the sound did come on but faintly. Same thing for eject button but first time sounded normal and then faintly. Anyways, let me know if this worked for you and please comment any combinations of suggestions.

Unplugged it 3 times, did a full power reset thought it was definitely broken. Then tried to unplug it one more time and it magically worked.

I don't have an original Xbox One DVD. If I insert a DVD into my PC, will there be a problem for Xbox?
