    I love the passion Rick Bayless has for Mexico and her cuisine. Nothing like real Mexican food. The fresh salsas, home made tortillas, different meats, cheeses, herbs, fish, etc. So good. Salud!

      I was lucky enough to spend one year in the city of Guanajuato studying Spanish. After eating in the Fondas of the Mercados, it opened up my eyes and taste buds to what real Mexican food was like.

    That was amazing. It's so great to see a chef who obviously has a great passion and love for what he does and the food he represents, let alone the warmness and hospitality of letting the public in behind the scenes. Congratulations on all your well deserved success and for being a mentor and teacher to us at home.

    I love Rick's passion for cooking. I had an interest in cooking and it became my passion as well. I enrolled at Lecord on Bleu I realized that it was not just cooking but to know the ins and out of cooking in particular sanitation, temperatures, and pairing Foods together and wines. Thanks Chef Rick Bayless.!!!!!

    I've been going to Frontera/Topolo for over 25 years, it was fascinating to get a behind the scenes look, thanks a lot! I'm amazed you can do so much in such a tiny space! And I learned I need to char my tomatillos more!

    Rick is the real deal. I love his passion and hard work from everyone there. Some people say you sold out when you started selling retail salsa but its a natural progression and they are the best salsa on the shelf.

    Me gustan sus video, porque por medio de ellos conozco mi Mexico y su comida no tuve dinero para conocerlo y ahora dicen que hay mucha violencia , eso desanima, pero sus videos me tranportan a ese Mexico desconocido para mi , deseando un dia poder ir a esos lugares que usted visita . Los aromas de las especias, sus tortillas hechas a mano, los vegetales , frutas y verduras son algo que me parece que estoy alli.

    Hi Rick - I'm visiting from NJ on Friday. My friend is taking me to Frontera Grill for lunch. I have been watching all your videos online and super excited to sample your wonderful food. So looking forward to the Tacos and I will appreciate them more seeing how much work goes into the food preparation - can't wait !!

    We've been looking for good banana leaf tamales and Tamaulipas style gorditas here in San Diego but haven't found any yet. It would be neat to go to his restaurant in LA. I wonder what he meant by fried gorditas?

    En Veracruz tenemos unos frutos Familia del aguacate o avocado sus nombres “ pagua y escalan “ tienen un sabor especial cada uno mira y hay una dona que necesita darse a conocer son las ruinas de un pueblo o aldea totonaca es bonito por allá el nombre de este pueblo se llama yecuatla Veracruz lo puedes encontrar en el mapa de Veracruz México Comparto esto contigo hay cosas que quizás te interesen muchos se dedican a la carpintería y tallan los muebles o sea los decoran con flores y hojas otro pueblo de nombre nail color también su gente se dedica al trabajo de hacer zapatos y artesanías bueno Que tengas un bonito fin de semana hasta pronto

    Rick Bayless is Mexican no doubt lol. He's a menonita raised in chihuahua Mexico lol. Nah he's American 100 percent. But he has an absolutely passion with the Mexican cuisine.
